Stopped by China Express for dinner last week with some friends on a weeknight. The place was empty so we were seated immediately. The place is definitely focused on takeout. We were there for a while eating and hanging out, and while no other diners came in to sit down, many came in to pick up phone orders and other takeout orders. The staff were very friendly and attentive, frequently coming around to refill waters and check if we were ready to order. It was nice to sit inside, but the atmosphere is very much a takeout restaurant vibe. The menu is quite large with a lot of Asian-American classics and some more authentic dishes as well. I decided to get the wonton soup to start and a sesame chicken combo plate for my main. The wonton soup was my favorite part of the meal, the wontons were good and the soup broth was similar to what I grew up eating at my local Chinese restaurant. I know sesame chicken is an American invented dish, but I really have a soft spot for it. The sesame chicken was very mediocre for me, unfortunately not crispy, super thick breading, and a little unusual sauce. The fried rice it came with was also just okay, lacking a bit of flavor. The egg roll was massive and it was pretty good. Overall, the prices are good and portion sizes are large, but the flavor is missing a bit. While I wouldn't seek out China Express again, I would certainly still eat it again. read more

It was my favorite place in the world to eat because they made me gluten free egg rolls and several of their breaded dishes were made in a celiac friendly manner. this afternoon I went for the buffet to find they are closed! All signs are off the doors and windows! They are gone!!! I cried. read more

Pork Fried rice was pretty good though and have lots of meaty flavor. As well at the tangy General Tso chicken. Although i was a little more battered than I thought it should be. A lot of meat was still given and filled to the brim! Dragon and Phoenix this was something new. very strong citrus flavor, but not too overwhelming as it is sweet on its own too. This is our main place to order Chinese, I only wish it didn't have that "hurry up and buy" vibe. Service is also kind of rough when my husband has picked up. No warm tones at all. Online ordering is a plus. If ordering a bunch make sure to get the family combo meal which is cheaper than ordering all separately. Food ordered: Egg rolls- I like these versus the thin egg roll wraps. These are good! Chicken wings- meh- Mainly batter, not a lot of meat. Egg Foo Young- good, but greasy and thick gravy Pad- Thai okay. House fried rice is good with nice size chunks of pork, chicken and shrimp. All the food is good, but very, very greasy. read more

Food was barely edible--not sure if they felt rushed but the cream cheese wontons were not thoroughly cooked. The pork fried rice was good but had an odd seasoning to it that didn't seem to taste right--maybe a ginger type seasoning or cross contamination? The egg foo was disgusting. And general chicken was a heaping portion but sadly the breading didn't seem to stick to the chicken making it a soggy mess. We won't be back. read more

Quite disappointed. Got the lunch special, "General Tso" comes with a nasty cabbage and pork eggroll and soggy egg fried rice. The food was so oily and the sauce was overwhelming. Tasted more like a sweet and sour dish. If I can give a zero star, that's what I would give. Should have walked out when I noticed there was only one patron in the restaurant. Yuck! Ordered lunch here with a Co-worker. She had their Sushi and talked me to a partial piece to try. Long story short, we both became very ill! Took her two days to recover and took me three miserable days to even feel like "normal". Never eating there again. Egg rolls suck as well! read more

Fast service and love their chicken chow mein, different from the traditional, better!

Went in on a friday at approximately 11:30am, just shortly after they opened. There was only one other customer, otherwise the place was empty. When I got there, I was greeted and asked if I wanted the lunch special (in a more sense of pressure). Being my first time there, I was a bit confused so I just agreed. The lunch special came with a side choice of either fried or white rice, and also 4 entrees. There was also a choice of appetizer of veggie rolls, egg rolls, or cream cheese wontons. The food had flavors but also felt like there was a mixture in the flavor (ex. My salt and pepper chicken had a sweet coating to it). Seeing as the restaurant just opened, you would think that there is fresh dish to pick out from but the dishes seem to be more of left over heat up than fresh, since the trays were more than less empty. Overall, the price is much more than decent for the meal. About $7 for a lunch special that consist of a side, 4 entrees, and an appetizer. May be worth a try, may be not. But it seems to carry the same aspect as any other fast pace chinese take out. read more

Cheese wontons we're perfect along with the house special noodles, authentic, and service was fast highly recommend

I like the shrimp fried rice. Its very simple but you get a lot of shrimp.

The dishes are home-style, I think. Taste was conservative in my opinion. We had beef with onions and egg roll. This restaurant seems to be run by family, I hope they'll do the great job. Good luck! read more

DISGUSTING! I ordered China express delivery and the guy who brought it to me lied that I didn't pay online and that I ordered paying with cash. I showed my bank statement proving that I ordered with my card online. Then he has the nerve to say I'm required to tip him at least 5$! When I opened up the food every piece of chicken wing still had feathers stuck to them! Never eating here again! Worst delivery service ever! read more

Judging from the other reviews, it looks like its either a "love it" or "hate it" kind of a place. I'm in the "like/love it" camp. I was getting my hair cut next door over the lunch hour but had a 45 minute wait, so I gave this place a try. I was a little leery at first because there have 2-3 Chinese restaurants in the spot over the years and all of them had poor quality food. Appearance was the typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese place with perhaps 10 tables, nothing fancy. They don't have a traditional lunch buffet, but that's OK. For $6 bucks, you get an egg roll and four scoops of various entrees of your choice and the scoops were generously portioned. I found the food to be tasty and well prepared (I had chicken with cashews). I also found it telling that many of the customers who came in were Chinese, so perhaps that is also a good sign. Food is meh at best. They doubled my orders and charged me with out telling me. Gave me a free order of "sushi" to make up the problem. Yum! Room temperature sushi. Nope! And fried rice isn't just yellow white rice. No onions, no peas, no nothing but yellow rice. Butter flavored maybe? read more

Horrible customer service. Horrible communication. I ordered online and did not receive any confirmation for 2 hrs. I called the restaurant as it was approaching the 3rd hour. They said they couldn't find where I was and decided to go back to the restaurant before even trying to find where I was located. This is not the first instance where they were incredibly late, did not communicate well, and did not show concern for the customer. There should be some large management changes in order for this massive problem to be fixed. They do not deserve anyone's money until this is resolved. read more

Horrible customer service, there is a Chinese restaurant next door and when you go in there to ask if they have your order they lie, ask you what you ordered, make it quick then tell you your order wasn't paid for online. We're from Texas and we've found very few restaurants that we've really enjoyed since being here.. but THIS PLACE WAS DELISH! It was very reasonably priced and the waitress was so sweet and very accommodating! We left full and happy. read more

Picked up Chicken Chow Mein for a quick family dinner. It was not your traditional thick brown gravy-like sauce. It was in a lighter sauce with thinly slice celery, onions, spouts and sliced chicken (instead of ground chicken). My kids were fighting over who got the last of the food. Great chinese place! I go there once a week. Chicken is amazing, the lo mein is amazing. All around great food. Definitely worth it.
