It was my first time here, so I tried a number of things. Of the 5 items I ordered, I liked 1. *sigh* Hot and Sour soup was neither hot (I requested medium spicy) and, oddly, not at all sour. Like, not at alllllll! My taste buds were sooooo confused at how bland this was. I actually tossed it into the trash. Crab Rangoon. Ehhhh. Such a small amount of filling. A lil too sweet. Not worth eating. Trashed them. Pan fried pork dumplings. Yes!! Actually the tastiest dumplings I've ever had. And there are 8 in an order, not just 6. Delicious. Thank goodness, else I wound have been starving after spending $36 on food. House Special Fried Rice. Soooooo bland! I mean, I realize I can add soy sauce to my liking, yadda yadda, but never have I ever had fried rice so bland in its container. I didn't toss it in the trash because I will put it in a skillet in the morning, add seasoning, crisp it up a bit and scramble a few eggs into it for breakfast. General Tsos chicken. Nothing about those breaded chicken pieces was ever crispy. I don't get it. I know the sauce is going to uncrisp what was once crispy, but these pieces were never there. Once sauced, they actually had a slimy texture in my mouth. Not appetizing. Saving it to give to the raccoons later this evening. I'll keep looking for good Chinese takeout. Since childhood my family has ordered from here. We always order the General Tso's chicken with fried rice and the lo mein - sometimes with egg rolls or crab rangoons. The quality is usually quite good, if not great. It usually only takes around 20 minutes or less for the food to be ready to be picked up. We have never really had problems with the customer service either. The General Tso's chicken is always soaked in sauce with broccoli included, which I actually love. We always have to quickly take our portions of lo mein because it goes FAST, as it's easily one of our favorite parts of the meal. The crab rangoons are crispy and come with a tangy red sauce that also goes really well with egg rolls and the fried rice. I also really enjoy using a lot of their duck sauce packets on pretty much everything! I recently discovered them on the "Beyond Menu" app which lets you easily customize your order exactly how you want it with 4 levels of spice included - not spicy, mild spicy, medium spicy, and hot spicy. As a spice lover I appreciate this a lot and I plan to order from them many times in the future with this app! China Dragon remains my #1 favorite food spot in McDonald, PA! read more

There's a reason why many of their best reviews are rooted in nostalgia -- that's one of the only reasons you could like anything they serve. Just go to one of the Asian restaurants in Robinson if you want something decent. I know exactly what I'm getting when I order food from China Dragon. I always get take out, and it's always ready in 10-15 minutes. The restaurant needs some heavy renovation/face-lifting. The food is eh, but here's why I return...it's cheap! I know I'm not getting high quality Chinese here, but at least the price justly reflects the quality of the food. I can't say that I would tell someone to try this place out unless they really wanted blah Chinese. In my neighborhood, though, the only other local place for great Chinese is Ya Fei, and their prices are ridiculous! I end up spending $25 per person there. So, take this review for what it is. I don't have to be a foodie everyday. Sometimes, I throw back to college days when you just wanted to eat and didn't care that it was stellar or not. read more

So disappointed. I ordered veggie fried rice and mixed veggies in garlic sauce. The rice didn't seem fried at all. It had very little seasoning and lacked flavor. The garlic sauce was also bland, and not spicy at all like the menu indicated. The veggies were soft and a bit cold, even though we got there right when the food was ready. I also tried a spring roll. Again, lacked flavor. Everything just seemed bland, generic, and like maybe it was all premade. I won't be returning. read more

This place is surprisingly a lot better than I thought it would be for such a small town. The only disappointing thing is that they don't have a website or menu posted anywhere online. I'd like to change that by adding pictures of their full menu here so people can reference this! For the prices, you get A LOT of food and it's worth the price. Best "go to" place for Chinese. Best lunch specials around. Always ready in 10-15 minutes. Owners are always friendly and will make any food as hot as you like it. Sure the place could use a face lift but that is up to the building owner and not the cooks! New owner of the buildings in town is forcing all the good stores owners out with high rent. The food is just ok. What makes the rating go lower is the fact that 3 out of 5 orders they didn't put the sweet and sour sauce in the bag. I have no clue how you don't put the sweet and sour sauce in the bag for sweet and sour chicken. So I guess IF we order from here again we will have to check to make sure everything is in bag. This time I drove the 40 min round trip to get the sauce. They offered me a free "drink". They would've been better off not offering anything. read more
