Good option for Americanized Chinese in Washington! The young man always working behind the counter is so friendly and nice! I usually get chicken and broccoli, but today I got bourbon chicken and coconut shrimp. I was surprised by how much I liked the shrimp! It was pretty soggy by the time I got home though, so I'd probably ask for the sauce on the side next time. I liked the bourbon chicken! Serving it over white rice reminded me of a Thai-style stir fry dish. I thought it was a bit expensive for what I got at dinner, and I didn't even upgrade to fried rice or add an egg roll. I also think an egg roll or something should come with the dinner entrees. I also had to wait about 15-20 minutes longer than originally told, but food was hot and good when I got it home! read more

What a wonderful hidden gem in the small city of Washington PA just south of Pittsburgh. I had an order of chicken on a stick General Tso's and garlic chicken it was superb. Always good. Small take out restaurant with a few tables. We eat here once a week. We especially like the owners, they are so friendly. I love that they know our order! The chicken and broccoli is my favorite. Nice large crunchy broccoli. The cashew chicken is very good as well. Since my husband is a vegan so he always gets the garlic vegetables with steamed rice. Once in a while we get the fried dumplings as an appetizer and the donuts for dessert really rounds out the meal. They offer free tea by the side of the counter. Completes it nicely. read more

How hard it is to find a reliable Chinese restaurant that will deliver and satisfy everyone's tastes - but we found it, and thank goodness we did. We recently moved to the suburbs of Washington, PA from the South Side and we were sorely missing the Chinese restaurant we used to live next to. We tried a few places that fell short, and then I spotted the delivery driver for How Lee while I was walking. I ordered via grub hub app and they were very quick, efficient and the delivery driver was so friendly. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, veggie lo mein, won ton soup and egg roll. I have heard such great things about this place and couldn't wait to try it. The options were great. The taste was bland. I don't feel like the sauce had any flavor at all. I kept adding more things to it(duck sauce, soy sauce). Nothing. The chicken tasted old. Not like it was even real chicken. It kind of dissolved in my mouth. Not very appetizing. I can never find good egg rolls but let me tell you How Lee has the best egg rolls I have ever ate!! Many days I order just a egg roll for a quick snack from them. I have bought other items as well and everything is always good tasting and freshly made as well. The staff is family oriented and very pleasant to order from. I have never done delivery but they do offer it, I have meet the delivery guy at the restaurant tho and he was nice and helpful. Quick, cheap and decent Chinese food. The employees are friendly and attentive. If you decide to eat-in, they'll come check on you from time to time. Seating is decent. How Lee is never all that packed because most people order their food to go. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating though, so feel free to eat there if you're so inclined. The restaurant and kitchen look clean. You get a lot of food for your money. They have great lunch specials. The food itself is alright. Its nothing to rave about, but its a good deal for the price. This restaurant is getting this rating mostly based on service. Don't get wrong the food is okay. It would probably get a 3/5 for the food. The whole staff was friendly, smiling and very attentive. I had the dumplings which were good they just used way too much dough. They need to be 2 times thinner than they are. You taste too much dough and not enough of the good dipping sauce and filling. The General Tso's was again ok. I wouldn't travel to eat it but I wouldn't refuse to go to this restaurant either. The pork shu mai was probably the best of all 3. Ordered delivery using the grub hub app. Super convenient and leaves little room for miscommunication. We ordered a lunch special (sesame chicken, wonton soup, lo mein), crab Rangoon, crispy noodles (asked for duck sauce), white rice & fortune cookies. $18.05 - said grub hub. The delivery deliver showed up (music blaring in his car while he was standing at my door.. My kid was napping.. Come on now), he tells me the total was 19.05? No cutlery in the bag so that kind of sucked but they were generous with the sauces and fortune cookies.
