The food was AWESOME. I got the general tso's tofu from the lunch menu and it was absolutely delicious. I also got the crispy tofu and my dad got some dumplings (I don't know the name.) They were all awesome! The portions were huge! The sauce was awesome sauce too! The service was great, our waiter was nice and double checked all of our orders to make sure they didn't mess up. He even made sure my dad didn't eat too many chili peppers so he wouldn't get sick. It was super cool inside and felt really nice. It smells really good. The egg roll was crispy and tasty but I cannot judge the rest of my meal because AGAIN with Grubhub and the restaurant, I wasn't provided any utensils. There is a button on the order for add utensils. The note section of each item I added please include utensils. None. I worked 13 hours today and all I wanted to do was eat and go to sleep. Well one out of two isn't bad. Thank goodness for the egg roll. I contacted Grubhub support. We are so sorry they said, we will contact the restaurant they said, it won't happen again they said. They then told me for my inconvenience, they refund me as a one time courtesy. Still need to drink my Chinese meal but okay! $2.14. That is TWO DOLLARS AND FOURTEEN CENTS! You heard right. As far as American-Chinese food goes, this is a good old standard spot. The portions are fair, the price is about right. They're pretty quick to make it. If you call them in the phone there might sometimes be a busy signal. It's a landline and it usually means they're on a call with another customer, so don't give up, try calling them again. I usually order from this place because I want comfort food with my partner and there's not many food establishments that are serving something other than American food, burgers, wings, fries. Nothing fancy, just a warm place with a good buffet. One of the soups was just ok, but the rest of the buffet made up for that. Delicious orange chicken, beef broccoli, brown rice, veggies, etc. A great stop for lunch, and the best part, only $6.95, whaaa!? Very good customer service, a little on the quiet side. I'm sorry, I really hate to leave a bad review but I cannot recommend Bridgelin Restaurant. The egg roll was absolutely tasteless. How do you ruin an egg roll? What even was in it? Some kind of cabbage only? I got the house chicken. Seriously--what self-respecting Chinese restaurant uses breaded chicken patties? Oh my god. Dry and tasteless. Was it even real chicken? It was like the gross patties you get at a thrift grocery store. A couple vegetables that would be delicious if used with actual chicken. I'll never ever order from that place again. At 9pm on a Saturday night not one other patron, so goes to tell you that the place must not be very popular. Still looking for a Chinese restaurant in town with good food. I guess I'll try Golden chopsticks, or head way out of town. $4 tip and the order was $12 something and my stomach just is saying "no". Chinese food shouldn't be this bad, really. Good service, not the best but good. When I walked in, not the best decorated. We had to sit ourselves. After about 2 or so minutes, a guy comes to take our order. Very nice guy. I don't remember what I ordered ordered exactly, but I think it was curry. It wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't the best. I also got sesame chicken, which was SO good! Crisp vegetables - 1st ever at a Chinese buffet. Zucchini screamed fresh. General Tso would be proud - that had a snap and crunch as well. Very attentive service by knowledgeable, cheerful staff. They are quick but I didn't love their rice, which is an important part in my opinion. When I picked up my to go order and opened my rice it looked and tasted like they took steamed rice and poured soy sauce over it and warmed it. Not great. Tried the lunch buffet today, and they have a new regular! First of all, don't go expecting anything fancy. The decor is extremely dated. That being said, the restaurant is extremely clean and the staff is super friendly. The lunch buffet ($7.00!) is smaller than some other Chinese buffets in the area, but it's also better executed. Everything was well seasoned, and not nearly as salty as other buffets I've had. I was a big fan of the hot and sour soup. Make sure to try the delicious ginger sauce. If I had one complaint, it's that the only sweet thing on the buffet was (strangely) watermelon. I would have liked one of my guilty pleasure Chinese restaurant sugar donuts, or even a better fruit selection. read more

There is a new restaurant that opened in South Wheeling, Bridgelin's, across the street from Dairy Queen. They have General Tso's Chicken, Shrimp, and even Beef. They also have Orange Chicken, Shrimp, and Beef. Although these flavors sound strange, they make it to adapt to the meat. They also have things like Curry Squid, Pork dumplings, and things made from tofu! I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to pay the price. We average, for a family of 5, $60. If you have any food allergies I HIGHLY recommend not eating at this place. I am highly allergic to shellfish, and ordered Spring Rolls. I ordered my delivery through their On-Line ordering and left a nice long note in the NOTES section. The note stated that I am highly allergic so please try and make sure my food does not come in contact with any shellfish, specifically SHRIMP. Turns out they sent 4 SHRIMP ROLLS and not Spring Rolls. I had already taken 2 bites before my wife yells out " DONT EAT THE EGG ROLL"......... So we rush to the ER , but not feeling any major side affects yet. She calls Bridgelin and they are very rude and not comprehending what exactly they did wrong. Very surprised at how impressed I was by this place. Not much on the outside, but not many Chinese restaurants are. I had the lunch buffet, while it was small it had everything you needed. Everything was piping hot and the vegetables were crispy and fresh. Not to mention the staff was the most pleasant and friendly I have had while in this part of the country. Which definitely deserved the large tip that was left. Everyone that walked in to eat was called by name and you could tell these two ladies were friends. Very very good, highly recommended. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! The only reason it got 4 stars is because of the size. It deserved 4 and a half, but I can't figure out how to do it haha read more
