A hidden spot in the backwater town of Blanchester. China Dragon is the only reason to be here. It doesn't get anywhere better to eat in town. Has all the usual favorites. There's dine in but most customers get takeout. Basically there isn't in much around here of food or culture. It seems like the only Chinese place for miles. This isn't even that good but it's much better than anything else to eat in town. Has some vegetarian choices. These probably are the healthiest things you can eat around here. I have tried the Homestyle Bean Curd. It's about $6 for the lunch portion. This comes with mostly broccoli for vegetables. It's not as bad as it could be. There's a decent amount and it's a good price. If you're in Blanchester this is where you have to eat. Just avoid everything else around here This is good to get takeout. read more

I love this place. We tried it when we moved relatively closer to it. We fell in love and ordered it a couple times a month. Whenever we had a craving for Chinese food, this is where we went. They closed down recently, and I really need them to come back. The place in goshen, and the place in amelia, nor the buffet in Milford or the buffet in East gate, and definitely not the buffet in Hillsboro, have absolutely anything on this little spot. I really don't like slamming any business, especially restaurants at this time, but this was a serious situation. I got some carry out for lunch last week from this place and had it for lunch. My stomach started hurting by about 6:00 that evening. By 6:30 the next morning, I was in some of the worst pain I have ever experienced! I had nausea, diarrhea, and severe stomach cramps. By 7:00, I was vomiting and by 11:00 am, I was in the ER! The alleged culprit was food poisoning and the type I had is known as 'fried rice syndrome' and comes from improperly handled rice. Now a disclaimer here: The food was not tested as I had put it down my garbage disposal and thrown the container out, but this doesn't come from oatmeal and that was all I had before I ate the alleged offending food! I would give it no stars or negative stars if possible! Avoid this place if at all possible! Your stomach will thank you! read more

My third visit yesterday, Sunday and each time I had a different dish, and they went far beyond what I started eating over fifty years ago in another city and State. My taste for Chinese faire has only improved over time! This place exceeds my expectations for the dishes and considering the size of the town and location; this is surprising. This restaurant used to serve the best Chinese fast food in the area- but I think it's under new ownership and has gone downhill. The usual staff hasn't been there, and the tables & chairs are mismatched & beat up. The food has become solidly mediocre, as well. Our last couple orders of General Tso's chicken were overcooked & tough; and the pork fried rice- instead of being fluffy & golden with vegetables & scraps of BBQ pork, is now greasy, not golden; with few veg and no pork to speak of. I have had A LOT of Chinese and Asian cuisine in general, and this restaurant is #1 on my list! Their General Tso chicken is the BEST I've ever had! All food is cooked to order and comes out piping hot. The portions are big and inexpensive. They also have a lot to choose from on their menu (Look at their printed menu). I live locally so I tend to order from here every month or so, and they have never messed up my family's order. Some of my family's favorites that I can personally vouch for are the crab rangoons, fried sweet biscuits, general tso chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, and lo mein. I've had tons of Chinese food in my life, low to high end, but after all of that, I still think this place is the best. The lo mein and sesame chicken is to die for. Seasoned and cooked to perfection every time. They have never messed up a carry out order and they're always super punctual. Just keep in mind, you're not going for the ambiance but for the food. I got the Moo Goo Gai Pan lunch special and it came out on about an 8" plate. It didn't look like a lot of food but I was surprisingly full when I finished. I'm used to lunch specials coming with an egg roll or other side. It came out piping hot and has lots of flavor. One thing to note is that they don't have complimentary glasses of water just bottled and pop. read more

The last last time I ate here (about two weeks ago), they gave me the wrong order. When I called them to talk about my incorrect order, a child answered the phone. When I told the child I had the wrong order, he asked me "are you sure?". Yeah. I think I know what I ordered. The food has been on a steady decline, and between the owner letting her 9 or 10 year old child take orders, run the cash register and obviously handle customer issues, they have lost my business. The food is usually 'meh' at best, and even if you call ahead to order, it is never ready. The best lie the female owner told me was that "someone ordered the exact same thing and I accidentally gave your order to them". I'll make the trip down to Number 1 kitchen in Miami Township and get delicious, hot food that's ready when you order it. One word of advice for the owner: just because you're the only Chinese restaurant in town doesn't mean your business won't decline. read more

Great local Chinese food. These guys are inexpensive, efficient, and the food is about as good as you'll find semi locally. They are closed on Mondays. I always get their vegetable soup when I'm sick. It's totally comfort food for me. I'd definitely be lost without this place. read more

I've noticed that since new people have taken over this restaurant the food quality has gone way downhill. We have not ordered from China Dragon for several months because of it. Well, we have been craving Chinese for a while now and there aren't many around us, so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and order. When I searched China Dragon on Google I was surprised to see there was new online ordering. We ordered a large sweet and sour shrimp, white rice and 3 shrimp egg rolls for pick up. When I arrived at my pickup time to get my order I was told that a mistake was made and they accidentally made sweet and sour chicken instead of shrimp. I was told the order would be corrected and it would be a few more minutes. No big deal, mistakes happen, I totally understand. I patiently waited for my new order and finally received it. When I got home and we started to get everything out, we noticed that we did not get sweet and sour shrimp, no we had gotten sweet and sour shrimp shaped rocks. We were so disappointed!! Each piece was so hard we could not eat it. Upon further inspection (I removed the breading) I noticed that the shrimp weren't even peeled. Dried up shrimp with legs and everything still attached. Normally, I don't complain about anything, but I had to make a yelp account so others wouldn't waste their money here. This is not the first time I have received poor quality food from this establishment but it will definitely be the last unless they step their game up. Oh, and the white rice and egg rolls were ok.......definitely not worth almost $17. read more

Great little Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant in downtown Blanchester. We eat here a couple of times a month and the food is always fresh and hot, and the order is correct. You may have to wait 20-30 minutes for your food to be prepared but it's well worth the wait read more
