Very fresh and delicious. I always get the lunch specials for $8. Very friendly service, this place is my favorite place to go for chinese food.

Food was sooo good, my daughter ate 4 plates! If you sit closer to the AC it definitely helps keep you cool, the pricing point on everything is great too. The service was excellent, overall great experience and me and the family will definitely be returning. Thanks China Caff for this great outing

    Beef & brocoli combo $8.99!

GREAT FOOD!! In Merced for work and stumbled across this amazing mom & pop spot! Insanely low priced and HUGE portions!

The last time I had entered this establishment it's was Lee's Chinese Restaurant, I'm guessing about 40 years ago. Lees was fantastic‼ First off if you dine in your served in to go boxes, not a good sign. The fried rice has absolutely nothing except soy sauce. No onion, meat of any kind just straight up soy sauce. We were given plastic to dine with our to-go boxes although we dined in. That seemed hoodish but said fork did it's job. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and it was not what I remembered (it's been decades since I've ordered it but) As I stated above the rice was bland at best. My first couple of bite of chicken were fair then it had a different taste, that was it for me. I finished my soy rice and called it a day. The love of my life ordered Beef Broccoli.. I'll just say she left the beef. It's not a place I'd return. I will say the establishment was spotless.

I got the dinner "B". The garlic chicken was pretty good. The beef slices had a lot of tough connective tissue attached. The chow mein was ok, while the egg fried rice was slightly burnt. Overall, it was ok.

The three extra shrimp ! Equivalent to a fortune cookie

Found this place while traveling. Food was prepared very quickly and it was YUMMY. We had Pad Thai…read moreand Pad Seew. Spice level 5 was really pretty mild, but great for traveling. Server was really nice and attentive.

Upon arrival, the restaurant had plenty of space and a friendly, booming owner to welcome us. We…read moresat wherever we wanted, and menus were brought over quickly. We chose to order: - Imperial Rolls (chicken, shrimp, a lettuce, cucumber, cilantro, and bean sprouts in rice paper wrappers) with a delicious peanut-soy dipping sauce; - Tom Kha Kai soup (Coconut Chicken), Spicy 3 (1-10); - Chicken Pad Kee Maow (Drunken Noodles), Spicy 3 1-10). The food came out quickly and very fresh. The Imperial Rolls were tightly wrapped and stuffed well (albeit more like cigarillos than the larger egg roll size you'd expect). And they had 2 small shrimp in each, as opposed to the pictures in the menu which showed 3 shrimp lining the insides. Cuts happening everywhere. ‍ The Tom Kha Kai was well-blended (coconut and broth melded beautifully and creamy!), chicken, mushrooms, and white onion slices were perfectly cooked in a serving bowl and not the usual sterno-fueled soup contraption. It was mildly spicy and probably the best I've ever had! The Chicken Pad Kee Maow was different than others I've had. Sam Cafe adds in a little sweetness (Tamarind?), broccoli, chunks of cabbage (also slightly sweet), carrots, onions, red peppers, tomato chunks, and basil...along with the requisite large rice noodles and white meat chicken. Truly satisfying and delicious without feeling super oily, burnt, or lacking sauce. The entire meal was a great deal and an amazing find in the middle of the Central Valley! Next time I'm up this way, Sam Cafe is on my itinerary!
