Prompt delivery and quality food for the price. Their food tastes like it's been freshly made and they've never disappointed me during the several times I've ordered. It's my go to place for Chinese food and it's truly the best in Lake County, and possibly even central Florida. read more

Ordered delivery. Was told 45-60 mins and I agreed. 1 hr 20 mins later I phoned to check. It took over two hours, but, food looked good and received an apology & credit. read more

I often get food from there several times and every time I get it I'm not impressed. The food tasted bad and for the price your paying it should be better . there are a whole bunch more Chinese places around Mt Dora. I guess I need to find a better one. read more

Plain location , however it had very fresh taste with quick service. Normal selection of food items for a qsr Chinese spot. A clean interior along with ample parking space makes this place perfect for a quick bite. read more

This is the best Chinese take out I've found. Always fresh always fast. Delivery is fast, I usually get my food delivered within 20 minutes. Granted I live 5 minutes away. Delicious read more

Had a wonderful experience here. I had tried to m order from China wok in eustis first and the owner was very rude and even hung up the phone on me when I should've been the one to hang up on her. Anyways told the very nice lady at china 8 how bad the experience was with the other place and she was very helpfully and calmed me down very quickly. The food was wonderful and so was the staff. I will coming here from now on. Good job china 8 and thank you read more

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. All Chinese restaurants have basically the same menu and pretty much the same tastes except this one. We ordered a large House Special which was physically smaller than our other dish Spicy Beef. We paid double for the "large" House special. We also ordered Crab Rangoon which was DISGUSTING and so was the sauce, which was light orange instead or redish like every other Chinese restaurant. The spicy beef was exactly opposite of spicy. This place is gross! One other note. When you go into a Chinese restaurant and see a bunch of white people working there, LEAVE. read more

Today I ordered General Tso's chicken to go. When I got home and started digging into the food, I noticed the chicken ( if that ) was RAW. NEVER EVER again !!!! read more

Very good NY style Chinese food. It's a bit pricey in my opinion but you do get quite a bit for the money. Good stuff.

Excellent quality food, the best Chinese takeout in the area. I emphasize the word takeout, because the restaurant its self is pretty bare bones (the only reason I give it four stars). There is hardly anywhere to sit. I have had fairly neutral interactions with the employees. One benefit is you can walk in, order and walk next door to Hobby Lobby to entertain yourself for a few minutes while they make your order. read more

I've ordered from here before and the food was sub-par. It's been a while, so we'll see if it's improved, because I feel too crappy to go out to my usual favorite Chinese joint: Wok n Roll. They don't deliver. :( When I called, the woman who answered was decent enough; it sounded like they were really busy because she kept having to say "Hold on" and putting the phone down. No problem: I'm a patient person. Will write review of food below once I get it. -------------------------------------------------------------- Been about an hour..... -------------------------------------------------------------- Well this food was well worth the wait. I had to get a lot of food (for me) in order to meet the $15 minimum: orange chicken combo, crab rangoon, and sugar donuts. But I've tried a bit of everything and its all delicious. Especially the chicken, and I'm most finicky about the protein with Chinese food. I definitely recommend China 8 based on this experience. read more

to RJ T. first of all, L1 is not general tso chicken. L2 is not chicken w. Garlic sauce. Are you sure you order from the right restaurant???? second of all, i can promise you china 8 is not the fastest Chinese restaurant in lake county, however is not the slow one. third of all, "jimmy and Jessie" they speak very good english as i know. fourth of all, General tso is deep fired chicken, on the other hand chicken W. Garlic Sauce is white meat chicken with different vegetable. they are totally not the same. the most important they just get voted by lake magazines as "#1 Chinese restaurant in the lake county"!!!! RJ T. why you wrote the exactly same review on the other chinese restaurant in mount dora!!!!!!!!!!!! please don't do that again!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The best Chinese food in this area, I stop by twice a week, delicious food and great customer service.

Don't order the Mongolian beef unless you just want a huge plate of Mongolian onions... barely any beef at all and a disgusting amount of onions. Chicken lo mein was good. read more

We ordered take out tonight and when we got home[15 minute drive] our food was terrible. The sweet and dour chicken was greasy and soggy and the egg foo young was not completely cooked. The sesame chicken was also terrible. We were very disappointed as we had ordered from here at other times and the food wasn't bad. When I called to tell them, the lady told me to bring it back. I told her I wasn't going to drive 15 minutes one way again and asked if she could make it up to us the next time. 'She said no, we give you 20% off next time you come. No thanks. I was very surprised they cared so little for their customers . There will not be next time. read more

I thought the food was very fresh tasting better than any of the other Chinese restaurants in the area I ordered the lo mein I thought it was awfully dry I like mine A bit more juicy. But overall I would eat there again and I would recommend it to my friends. read more

Thankfully their food is much better than their decorating, best Chinese in Lake county and I mean that in a good way!

This Chinese restaurant has great food however the woman at the counter has terrible attitude and every single time I have been there has given me an issue to complain about weather its messing up the order itself then telling me she would fix it next time but not wanting to fix next time... Horrible horrible horrible customer service... This time it has gone too far she did not tell us when our food was ready until it had been sitting on the counter 10 minutes when are there was maybe five pieces of beef and 15 pieces of broccoli and not to mention she forgot the sweet and sour sauce for are stale cold chicken! Sooooo done with this place! read more

Always fast delivery and still hot when it arrives, better than the other take-out Chinese restaurants in the vicinity

if I'm being honest I have to say that it was okay.... I'm from New England and it's really hard to find a Chinese restaurant that can compare to the Chinese food up north..... some of this food is edible and some of that I can't even attempt to smell it so therefore it is OK. read more

Chinese food is very good. Very nice and friendly establishment, definitely one of the few good ones in the area.

I don't usually write reviews but.....This place has great food but the woman who takes the orders over the phone is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've ordered from here twice but will no longer be ordering here. There was a point where I found myself wondering why I'm paying for someone to give me attitude. :/ Not recommended!! read more

When I order Chinese take out this is where I order. Any other place seems like a let down now. Everyone in my house has their own favorite dish and we are never disappointed. Not really the place to dine in but they are really fast to make your food and if you live in the area they deliver. read more

China 8 is the best Chinese food around I've tried them all China 8 is fresh always cooked on the spot 2 egg rolls are perfect crunchy filled and flavorful along with all their food I go out of my way to go there read more

The food is awful and the courtesy is even worse. As much as I like Chinese food I'd give it up before eating anything from this place again. read more

This is the best Chinese food. We have tried many different entrees (beef, pork, chicken) as well as the fried rice varieties and many appetizers (cheese wontons and killer donuts). The sauces are excellent. The portions are very large, and they always throw in delicious egg rolls. You better be fast to pickup, because they only take 10 minutes for even large orders. The best way to order is always by the numbers. Prices are very reasonable and the location is easy to find with lots of parking (across from Walmart on same side). read more
