It is hard to find Chinese food in Lake County that is anywhere near decent. We visited here recently, and I'd rate the food here a little better than average. It's not the best I've ever had, and I wouldn't drive a long distance for it, but it's not bad either. It was made fresh and had decent flavor. The steamed dumplings are amazing, then I got the mongolian beef and it was a major letdown. Floppy meat with no sear whatsoever. If it was cheaper I'd give it a three, but these are like high-grade restaurant prices. You shouldn't be spending $16 for a takeout dish that's gross. read more

Best Chicken Egg Foo Young I've had, just about anywhere in Central Florida. It's traditionally made and always fresh. The gravy and chicken-onion-egg fillets are consistently good. The chicken fried rice, spring rolls and egg drop soup were all very good on 3 occasions, now.. Just moved to Mt. Dora from having lived in downtown Orlando for over 45 years and I'm truly pleased with this restaurant. The people are very nice there and delivery has always been quick. read more

A typical small Chinese, primarily take-out, place in the local strip mall. The lobby has only four tables. Of these, three tables were occupied by customers waiting for take-out on our visit. The establishment doesn't provide a row of chairs for those waiting for to-go or pick-up orders, creating a difficulty for eat-in guests. A very nice, older gentleman gave up his table for my family so we could eat there, but everyone else, including the staff ignored our problem. Therefore, I would not recommend this place to dine-in. A simple sign giving table priority to dine-in customers would help resolve this issue. The picture menu above the order counter is incomplete, only highlighting about 16 or so options. Additionally, this menu fails to explain a combo includes pork-fried rice and an egg roll - no drink; this is unexpected as almost every fast-food place offers a combo that includes a drink. A larger menu is taped to the counter but is difficult to read and choose quickly. Pro-tip: ask for the trifold menu which offer pages of options to review and choose at your leisure. This menu also has a few coupons on the front cover. For example, one coupon offers two free cans of soda or two free egg rolls or a free wonton soup for orders over $25. When we missed seeing the coupon, the cashier did point it out, allowing us to take advantage of it. This was good customer service. The portions of food were very generous. Everyone had enough left over to take home for lunch the next day. Unfortunately, quantity isn't quality. The quality of the food was just okay. Fast-food chain Chinese food is better and cheaper although not as convenient a location. The pork in the pork-fried rice was extremely over cooked, tough and dry. The chicken in the chicken fried rice was stringy. The diced shrimp in the house special fried rice was largely absent. Much of the chicken in the chicken with cashew nuts was chopped as small as or smaller than the accompanying vegetables. The spring rolls and egg rolls were stuffed with ingredients, which was nice. Wok N Roll supposedly cooks to order. However, some dishes or portions of the dishes appeared to be reheated. read more

Food is actually not bad, but the issue we had with them was two fold. First on two occasions when we ordered from them online we notice the amount we agreed to paid was increased later by the restaurant. On the first occasion they added almost $5 to the order, and on the second they added almost $10 to the order total when they billed the credit card. We tried calling the restaurant multiple times, and twice we were told the manager was not available and when we asked when they would be available they just hung up on us. After not being able to get this resolved with the restaurant we had to involve the credit card companies and contest the dollar amount differences we never approved on both occasions. read more

We got wok N roll a few weeks ago and the next day I felt extremely sick, and I didn't think anything of it and wasn't going to blame it on the food. We ordered again last night, my boyfriends chicken tasted old and smelled very funky. We shared my meal, and now again today I feel so sick and my boyfriend feels even worse. Unfortunately, the quality of the food here has gone down a bit. It used to be the best New York style Chinese food in the area, but the last couple of times I have ordered take out, I have been disappointed. While everything seems fresh and made to order, I have found the food flavorless, like the Hot & Sour soup- which I use to rate a good restaurant- was thin and literally had no flavor- neither hot nor sour. The name of our favorite place to eat Chinese Food it's "Wok n Roll" ; I had never saved their number because I thought it was the only place near by with that name & man I was WRONG. Always looking for a good Chinese restaurant, because I am Chinese! Ordered 2 things as a test: Chicken Lo Mein and Beef w Brocolli. The Lo mein noodles were not as fresh as could be, chopped up as when it is reheated several times. The broccoli was relatively firm and crunchy but obviously reheated. To get 4 or 5 stars, they'll have to cook a fresh batch for their take out .... and it is easy to do for these two dishes ..... read more

This is the best Chinese food I have had since moving to Florida 10 years ago. We stopped in tonight just because we were hungry, it was late, and we didn't have time to get to the so-so restaurant we usually go to before it closed for the nBoy, am I glad we did! The man working there was extremely nice and friendly and he cooked the food to perfection. The fried rice had the best roasted pork that actually had a smoky, roasted flavor and fresh crisp vegetables. I got sweet and sour chicken and the coating was just the right thickness, crisp and not at all gummy inside (like I have gotten at many other places), and mostly chicken instead of breading. We loved it and will definitely make the drive past plenty of other Chinese restaurants to go there again. read more

The restaurant is the classic take out Chinese food joint you would expect. Hand written signs for specials, selling nick-knacks are the decor. The food, however, is solid and tasty.
