Update: I ended up calling Chimney Pros again and got a cleaning scheduled and the tech came and did a great job. The tech was super nice and knowledgeable. I found out when I called the main number again to try to reschedule that the number the techs call from to let you know they're on their way/running late/have arrived is a system number that isn't monitored by the business. So it's essentially a no reply. Apparently when the last tech had car trouble he forgot to reschedule me. And the next day when I called the number back that he called me from I didn't get an answer because that number isn't monitored. I'm updating my review to four stars. One star off because it really is a silly/inconvenient business practice to have a second system number that shows when technicians call but not monitor that number when people call it back. But that's not the technicians fault and doesn't take away from the quality of the service. My recommendation to Chimney pros is to have the caller ID number match the main line so when people call back it goes to a monitored line. Horrible. DO NOT USE THEM. Had them check my fireplace before winter. It was working fine prior to service check. They said we needed a new pilot valve that would be $1200!! After they left, I started noticing a gas smell in my home every time I tried to use the fireplace. Called PSE and the fireplace glass hadn't been put back into place after chimney pros checked my fireplace. It was leaking fumes and carbon monoxide into my living room! Not cool! Something so simple to do as clipping the glass back into place and they couldn't even do that! I want a refund for my service charge! Thanks! read more

Don't fall for this bait and switch company. They charge you $50 for the service call which was lower than competitors, but after a five-minute evaluation of my fireplace issue the technician asserted that I needed to replace the fireplace valve at a cost of $1500. Literally exactly $1500. The technician was so obviously scripted to quote that price without any time spent troubleshooting any other possible issues as to why the fireplace won't start. Scheduled chimney to be cleaned and waited over 2 weeks. They didn't show up and when we called they said the tech had car trouble. They did not try to squeeze in another appointment but rather tried to schedule out another two weeks. This is unacceptable and very poor service. read more

After having this company come out to do a $125 sweep and inspection, they instantly told us the cost to do the cleaning would actually $600 . When we tried to use the fireplace our basement filled with a real bad smell of smoke to the point we had to stop using it and call the company to re inspect to ensure it was safe to use. I set my appointment for 10-12 the first time and the tech never showed, the girl "lee" on the phone told me my appointment was 12-2 and I needed to wait, then they canceled on me. I rescheduled for a week out and the exact same thing happened . She was extremely rude and wouldn't let me talk at all and just kept saying we had to wait. The tech never showed in the 10-12 window or the 12-2 window that I never set. My fireplace is still out of commission and we are down $600. I contacted this business via a Google search for a chimney sweep. Advertising Chimney sweep & inspection for $125.00. I waited for a day and a half for them to arrive. The technician arrived at 4:15pm February 15, 2022. He seemed to be in a hurry and upon opening the wood stove he looked at me and asked me if this was our only source of heat for our home. I replied yes. Immediately he started talking about creosol build up and this and that. I knew that. It was the reason why I had called them. Two days earlier our wood stove started smoking inside the house. We could not use the stove and therefore no heat. I found their ad and the chimney cleaning service of $125. When the technician found the stove to be our only heat he then told me that the service will now be $845.00 which he slightly adjusted down to $600. My wife and I are disabled and needed our heat so I told him to get my chimney working again. He worked only one hour. He left soot all over the outside of my house. He wired the bottom cap on my chimney instead of securing with screws like it is supposed to be. He then proceeded into our house and cleaned the necessary things from in front of our stove. He put no drop cloths or floor protection on our wood floors prior to working inside. I had to clean the soot off the floor and carpet after he left. He mentioned that he has to be in Tacoma Washington NLT 8:00pm and that he will have to drive fast now to get there. When I complained about the price Vs the ad his explanation was that doing the chimney is hazardous to his health and cleaning chimneys is dangerous, so he has to charge more. He didn't even go on our roof but did everything from the bottom chimney port. At least the technician cleared the chimney of the blockage and we were able to use our wood stove again. This is a prime example of "bait and switch". I'm more than happy to pay the advertised amount of $125 but not the extra. The technician even left his huge power cord and one of his cleaning push rods here in his haste to leave. Easier to dispute than freeze with no wood stove. read more

Called in October of 2022 to schedule an appointment for the 99$ special. Got scheduled for November 20th. November 21st comes around and I call the service number for them only to be told sorry nothing we can do we will forward it to a manager. Asked a few questions about what happened and was told that they are only the appointment line and that the manager will address this when they call. The manager never called, instead a appointment person wants to argue with me about me asking questions as to what happened and why they won't honor the 99$ special and was rudely treated, spoken to, interrupted multiple times and hung up on me after being told I could call a different company for service. Mind you I was already scheduled for the 20th! I wouldn't recommend this company for anything except to manage a pencil up their ...............! I would give them no stars. This company promises a 100% guarantee, but know one showed for the appointment which was scheduled over a week in advance. When I called them the first time the customer service rep said the tech. would call me back. Thirty minutes later after not receiving a phone call I called back and got even more of a run around. I was told that a supervisor would call me back; I told them I would hold for the supervisor; so then the customer service rep knowingly just hung-up on me! I have never had problem before with my chimney service in the past.
