    Nice sidewalk cafe area

Chimney Rustic Ales joins two other excellent breweries in one of the quaintest small towns in New Jersey, Hammonton. Upon visiting them, I could immediately see how they were trying to complement and differentiate themselves from the other breweries in town, and doing that, not necessarily competing with the others. The beers are all light, rustic, and drinkable. They will not knock your socks off, but that's also not the point anyway. It's just meant to be a nice happy place to relax and enjoy a beer. Currently all of their seating is out on the sidewalk, and you get table service. I noticed that the servers were very efficient at getting you what you wanted, but they weren't necessarily brewery specialists. I did not get to meet the owner while I was there. The inside has some nice woodwork, but it's currently closed off and being entirely utilized for production. It looked a little cluttered when I went into use the bathroom. If you were going to be in Hammonton anyway, you might enjoy going there. I would go back again.

It is amazing that there is another brewery spot in the nice little town of Hammonton. You can tell that a lot of attention to details has been put into this place that serves a great selection of craft beers. They are very customer service oriented with special attention to client comfort and enjoyment.

Cool vibe and great craft beers. Small intimate brewery located in Hammonton off the main strip. Very rustic and inviting. They are also Dog friendly so bring your furry friends too. Great location to stop in have a few and visit the town. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Also had to grab a bag of yummy Hangover Pretzels while we were there!!

Thankfully the closing was not permanent, as the business was sold and finally reopened in June of 2026 under its new owner Eric De Angelis. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Friday evening in July and absolutely loved it. Phillies on the tv indoors, tabletop shuffleboard, a large outdoor space with plenty of seating and live music by Chris Greiner and a decent sized crowd. It was a really perfect summer evening. And the beer! I was genuinely surprised at how much I loved it! There were 8 beers on tap, plus two hard seltzers and a NA root beer. My girlfriend and I tried a few 12 oz. pours and loved it all. The Peach Please lived up to its description and tasted like peach cheesecake in a glass, while the Brotherton IPA, Juicy IPA, and Wheat Cloud Hefeweizen were all nuanced yet complex in flavor. The beer here was excellent, and we can't wait to come back to see what they brew next.
