Murphy Construction sign so decided to give a call. Skip called me back within 24 hours and was over a few days later to speak about what we would like done. He was very honest in terms of the cost of the extension as well as the time frame on when he could start work (we expected a wait time since everyone is redoing their house right now!). He was true to his word on both which we were very thankful for. We we're also extremely thankful that Skip and team were understanding when we said we had a baby on the way to ensure everything was done prior to his arrival (which it was - HUGE THANK YOU!). In terms of work, Skip, Marvin and his team demolished our sunroom and previous bathroom and added on a new hallway, linen closets, bathroom, additional bedroom and family room. They also redid our floors upstairs, finished the attic, provided new windows in a previous bedroom, installed wall air conditioners in 4 rooms and created a covered patio area outside off of our new family room. Our smallish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has truly been transformed into something we couldn't imagine. We are beyond happy with the way everything turned out and could not be more thankful. The whole team was extremely courteous, kind and responsive. My husband and I both work from home so we literally were around to watch the house transform around us. The team showed up diligently on time, every single day and quickly and efficiently worked to get the job done with a few short months. The installation of the pavers was not done properly, confirmed by a third party inspector, so our $30K pavers are always wet and discolored. They NEVER dry. The pavers are not sloped properly, trapping moisture in our pavers - in any weather- winter or summer. The work was extremely sloppy, some edges were finished, some were left with bulging concrete. C&D is either incompetent, neglectful, dishonest or all 3. We have reached out to the owner Christ countless times for resolution to no avail. He won't take responsibility for the defective installation, despite it clearly deviating from the manufacturer specifications. 6 months later with no resolution and no reply to our last email on 12/23. Just don't do it, he's not a stand up guy and if you ever have issues - forget about it, you're stuck.
