Murphy Construction sign so decided to give a call. Skip called me back within 24 hours and was over a few days later to speak about what we would like done. He was very honest in terms of the cost of the extension as well as the time frame on when he could start work (we expected a wait time since everyone is redoing their house right now!). He was true to his word on both which we were very thankful for. We we're also extremely thankful that Skip and team were understanding when we said we had a baby on the way to ensure everything was done prior to his arrival (which it was - HUGE THANK YOU!). In terms of work, Skip, Marvin and his team demolished our sunroom and previous bathroom and added on a new hallway, linen closets, bathroom, additional bedroom and family room. They also redid our floors upstairs, finished the attic, provided new windows in a previous bedroom, installed wall air conditioners in 4 rooms and created a covered patio area outside off of our new family room. Our smallish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has truly been transformed into something we couldn't imagine. We are beyond happy with the way everything turned out and could not be more thankful. The whole team was extremely courteous, kind and responsive. My husband and I both work from home so we literally were around to watch the house transform around us. The team showed up diligently on time, every single day and quickly and efficiently worked to get the job done with a few short months. We even made some changes as work was progressing and they were more than accommodating to ensure the job was done to our liking and to what we wanted. Laura, one of Skips office managers was also wonderful in ensuring any extras we added on our changes were relayed to Skip and team. I was forced to bring everything down to clean myself, but the debris that is spread throughout the attic will most likely just stay there forever.

That person gave me preliminary findings and showed me pictures of problem areas on the roof. Arnie came by another day to go over the requirements of what would be needed to install a new roof, his credentials and the guarantees offered. He then provided me an estimate that night. A few days later, his workers came, tore off the old roof, put new plywood throughout the whole roof, lined the roof and then shingled it. They had almost the whole roof done in a day, but did need a little time the next morning to finish up (which Arnie previously told me might happen). The workers were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and worked hard. They left the property very clean. A few days after the new roof was installed, we had a few days of very heavy rain and the roof did great. I would highly recommend Arnie Blake for roofing. I would bet that his company's work in other areas are just as good.

The first heavy storm after our roof replacement happened sooner than I would have preferred, but…read moreit ended up being a good test. The new roof handled it without any water entering the building. Before replacement, the surface had blisters, cracked seams, and several areas that held water. We reviewed repair and replacement options, and the condition of the insulation made replacement the more sensible choice. The old layers were removed down to the wood deck. Most of the wood was sound, although several boards near the front parapet needed to be replaced. A self-adhered modified-bitumen system was installed over new insulation and a cover board. The chimney flashing, plumbing vents, and roof hatch were all completed individually. Additional taper was used near the rear drain to improve water flow. The Royal Renovators Inc. crew protected the front planting area and used the rear access for debris. We found a few scraps of membrane near the neighboring fence after completion, but they returned and picked them up the next morning. The final documents included photos, material information, and the written warranty. Months later, the roof is still draining well and the interior stains have not returned.

Once in November 2024 and once in May 2025. So am I supposed to just wait another 2 1/2 months for you to show up. You wouldn't give me date when you would come back out.
