Unfortunately, five of our leyland cypress trees died over the bad winter. After contacting Alex several times, it took them 6 months to replace the trees. The trees were replaced with very thin, frail-looking trees. When I looked at the tags on the trees, they were not leyland cypress. He replaced them with these frail, horrible looking trees. I sent several emails, calls and Alex has never responded. I highly recommend you do NOT use this company. Beware if something goes wrong! The completely unprofessional owner and lack of quality aren't worth it. The Good: During the work, Alex was pleasant to work with. His crew was nice too. They do a basic job. For simple stuff like installing pavers, they might be ok to go with. The Bad: 1. No accountability. Alex ordered a dirt roll off dumpster to be placed in the street, but it ended up in my driveway. The dumpster driver drove over and cracked my neighbors sidewalk and apron. The time from contract signing to work starting was over a month! He had plenty of time to get the proper permit or instruct me to do so. - it's been a nightmare trying to get someone to fix it. At first, Alex and the dumpster company agreed to fix it. A month later, nothing is done. And now Alex tells me that he has zero responsibility and none of this is his fault. It's turned extremely unpleasant with me the homeowner and my neighbor left in a limbo. The Alex says all he will do is make 1 phone call to the dumpster company to fix it. My NEIGHBORS BRAND NEW sidewalk and apron cracked from the dumpster that Alex ordered to be put in the street, but the company put it in the driveway. He ordered it. He placed it. He should have been on top of it so that my neighbors property wouldn't be damaged!! In my opinion, both the dumpster company and Alex should have been more on top of this. They both should have addressed the matter accordingly, but it's finger pointing at its best. 2. A week after he finished, I looked closer into the work done because a Gardner pointed out some issues. It didn't look like a precise grading job was done. The stucco around the vent opening looks horrendous. 3. Alex requested a deposit so that he could order materials. The deposit was given a month before the work started. I receive a call a week before the work from Alex saying he didn't get a chance to order the original pavers and unfortunately, the pavers we wanted are not in stock. Since the original pavers would take too long of a time to get in, we settled for another type. Overall I wouldn't ever consider hiring or recommending. There are far too many other companies that will do the same or better of a job and without the associated headache. I can't imagine anyone wanting to go through the finger pointing after the contractors damage a neighbors property. What a nightmare this is.
