I'm very lucky to have legit thai place in my backyard. I mean they have all my favorites: chive dumpling, khor moo yang, tum thai (papaya salad), kao krapad gai which is like the ground chicken basil but without the bell pepper. They are all very delicious.

Food is DELISH YALL! I've never really had authentic Thai food and I'm glad I gave it another chance especially here. Service is great, very attentive and refills on water without asking or waiting around is top notch service. Ambiance is great too. Came during lunch and definitely would come back. Food is AMAZING!!!!

Just moved into the neighborhood and was craving some noodles. After a day of moving with family, we stumbled upon Chim Thai and was not disappointed! Service was super fast and the staff was very kind. We ordered the shrimp in a blanket (their take on shrimp tempura), calamari, chicken satay, pad Thai, crab fried rice, and the Thai boat noodle. Everything came out quickly and was excellent. The beef in the Thai Boat Noodle was so tender and the broth was delicious. Overall it kinda reminded me of pho but I'm not mad at it! The crab fried was also really flavorful. I do want to note that the serving sizes are fairly large so these plates can be shared family style, which is what we did. For everything we ordered, our bill was less than $100. For the price, proximity, overall taste and service, I will certainly be coming back. Cant wait to try their other menu items!

We've orders delivery a couple times now. The prices were so reasonable. I especially enjoyed their Tum Thai. The Pad Woon Sen and Pad Kee Mao were better than most I've had, flavorful and generous ingredients. My fiancé says the Pad Thai and Rama Noodles were too sweet, but surprisingly, I still liked them. The Green Curry flavors were good, but it was soupier than we're used to. Nice to have found a Thai place we can frequently order from!

Friendly service They ran out or didn't have Khao mun gai even tho it's on their menu. We got Khao soy and Tom yum noodle soup. The Khao soy had great flavor and plenty of chicken but could use more broth. The Tom yum was a little too sweet for my bf. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back to try other dishes in

Good low key spot for Thai food! I ordered the Thai iced tea and it's probably one of the best that I've had. I also had the pad see eiw with chicken which was a classic. The service was pretty fair, some entrees came before our appetizer, but overall really great Thai food!

There are a lot of great restaurants in Albany Park, but there aren't many great Thai restaurants. So I was a little apprehensive to try Chim Thai. However, I saw the ratings were pretty good and decided to dine in. The inside of the restaurant has a nice ambience and is very clean. It's not a hole in the wall, and the lighting makes it feel intimate. So if you ever want to dine in, it should be a pleasant experience. There were no other diners when I was there but there were a ton of delivery and takeout orders being picked up. The menu is extensive. Most of the menu is in English, but there are also words in Thai script. There are long lists of appetizers, soups, curries, noodles, rice, etc. I had a standard Pad Thai with chicken as well as mini egg rolls and crab rangoon. All were great and very affordable. I will definitely be going to Chim Thai again for dining in and take out. Happy to have a delicious and convenient local Thai spot!

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!
