The unique setting creates a cozy atmosphere that sets it apart from typical breakfast establishments. The customer service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The food was enjoyable, and the country music playing softly in the background added to the relaxed, homey ambiance. Overall, it's a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast, and I would gladly return.

Pretty decent ice cream shop along (or near) the boardwalk in Solomon's. While no Baskin Robbins…read morewith its 31 flavors, the Ice Cream Place still has a pretty good selection of ice cream flavors. For me, I am a happy camper as long as an ice cream shop has vanilla, chocolate, cookies n cream, or mint chocolate chip...and The Ice Cream Place had those. :) *I"m pretty "boring" when it comes to my ice cream flavors.* Prices were a bit higher than I anticipated (especially since they don't post prices), but I think that's the way things go on the Boardwalk. I had no concerns reading the service and ambiance of the ice cream shop. Although The Ice Cream Place is worth a visit, especially if you have the young ones with you, I would not go too far out of my way to visit. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of ice cream.

After reading other reviews describing similar problems with inconsistent hours and rude treatment, apparently our experience wasn't unique. We won't waste our time coming back. There are plenty of businesses in Solomons that actually seem to want customers.

The pastries were RICH and so velvety - but it's not so sweet you get tired of it after a few bites. We demolished the blueberry tart in a minute, because that creamy custard with the raspberry filling, and the insanely gorgeous crust and the tart/sweet blueberries? Stunning. I swear I died and came back to life so I could eat more. The calamansi tart was also delicious, but I wish the calamansi was stronger and more tart (and had more, in general). The meringue bit was so creamy and sweet that it needed more sour from the calamansi. But I would still eat the hell out of it. I wish we'd gotten there earlier so we could have bought one of everything, but then I'd die of diabetic coma and be very very poor in the wallet.

Staff could be a bit more friendlier; also, the drinks just take way too long to prepare, even with 3+ staff on shift.
