We really really enjoyed JoJo's! Definitely our favorite ice cream place in St. Michael's. I got the apple pit and loved the bits of apple. We also got my dog a scoop of vanilla. I didn't realize they had a doggie scoop size, but my dog wasn't too mad about it. Husband got the root beer float and liked it a lot. We will most definitely be back! They don't have a lot of seating, but it would also be nice to just walk around and enjoy the ice cream. read more

Absolutely lovely little shop. I walked up to the window and was immediately greeted with pleasant smiling faces. After placing my order the ice cream was made swiftly yet presented very neatly. Napkins were given and the ice cream was PHENOMENAL. I adore how they support a local dairy farm! And you can really appreciate the creamy smooth texture and the perfectly balanced flavors. what a cute little cupcake and ice cream shoppe in the heart of downtown st. michael's! on a cold sunday afternoon when very few businesses were open, we were happy to see that there were customers inside here, happily enjoying their sweet treats. even more important, it was warm inside here! the interior is very cute with pink walls and little pink tables, a long white bench, and some chairs. we decided to get the granddaddy wright combo ($5) which consisted of: 1 cupcake + 1 scoop of ice cream + 1 topping (not necessarily together in one bowl) hubby picked a single scoop of cherry ice cream with whipped cream on top. he originally wanted strawberries, but they unfortunately ran out, so he settled for the whipped cream. the ice cream was ok, not very thick and not too creamy, but it tasted like cherry. the whipped cream, as we witnessed, came straight out of a can....enough said about that one. i picked the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting. the cake was dry and airy, not moist and dense, like what i'm used to at other bakeries. the cream cheese frosting was just average. their price list: single cupcake: $2.50 *1/2 dozen cupcakes: $14 *1 dozen cupcakes: $27 *more than 1 dozen cupcakes: $25 per dozen *kiddle cake: $1.50 (not sure what this is, but i'm guessing miniature cupcakes, which i didn't see in their store) read more

Cute little cupcake and ice cream shop in the heart of downtown St. Michaels! We popped in on a hot summer day to enjoy some milkshakes. Service was a little slow since there was only one worker at the time. Although the cupcakes looked delicious, I didn't try any since the cold milkshakes were much more appealing in the heat. Such a great find and perfect location. Limited seating inside, but that didn't seem to hinder anyone's enjoyment. I could go through the 6 flavors we tried, and critique them, but I don't think that is a proper review. The cake was moist and icings flavorful. They were served room temperature so you could enjoy them immediately. The only negative (using this term loosely) is that the ganache in my banana split cake was hard, similar to a Hershey's kiss, I would have preferred something softer. If we are in town again we will definitely be back. read more

I think I ordered Moose Tracks ice cream and it was okay. Would've been better if it wasn't freezer burned but whatever, it's hard to not like ice cream. I got a single scoop and it was huge so that's cool that they're generous. Sprinkles are free! There was a big board with gourmet milkshakes but then it had a sign over it that said "Coming Soon" so I guess they weren't available. I also got two cupcakes to take home to my mom. She wasn't wowed by them but they were just fine. read more

Yummy and unique! We were here on a busy July 4th weekend, so of course the place was crowded, but the two girls working there moved the line quickly. The granddaddy Wright with snickers ice cream and a fluffernutter cupcake was amazing! My daughter got a huge scoop (even though I ordered a kid's scoop) of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cone which was delicious. I find that oftentimes hugely popular places with enormous weirdly flavored cupcakes skimp on quality and are ok with serving dry cupcakes. These cupcakes are modestly sized, moist, simple, and delicious! I plan on making this a regular stop in Saint Michaels! read more

Living in DC I have tried my fair share of cupcake places, and I have yet to find a place that leaves me more satisfied than jojo's! Everyone I have brought loves Jojo's. They don't have anything too crazy, but are very good at sticking to the basics and making them good. My family's favorites are cookie monster and red velvet. I am a simple cupcake eater and always go with the yellow cake and chocolate icing cupcake. The cake is moist and perfect and the icing is great. I have been to the Jojo's in Annapolis, Easton and frequent the St Michaels location. They are all wonderful! There is usually enough seating if you'd like to eat in. They also have all different kinds of ice cream and milkshakes. I cannot speak to the ice cream, although it always looks delicious, when I am at Jojo's I'm getting a cupcake. read more

Actually...excellent ice cream! My dinner waitress recommended Justine's Ice Cream Parlor without hesitation, so I wandered a few blocks through downtown and walked in around 5:30pm on a Friday evening during Fourth of July weekend. To my surprise, I had the entire place to myself, which was perfect because this place has SO MANY choices that I needed some uninterrupted decision-making time! Justine's has been serving homemade ice cream in St. Michaels since 1987, and it's easy to see why it's become such a local tradition. Beyond dozens of ice cream flavors, they offer their famous Wall of Shakes, sundaes, floats, dog-friendly treats and even the legendary Titanic Sundae Challenge, a 6 1/2-pound mountain of ice cream and toppings that was featured on Man v. Food. Watching someone attempt that challenge would almost be worth the trip all by itself! After staring into the cases for far longer than I'd like to admit, I settled on the Choco Taco ice cream. Then the friendly employee behind the counter casually suggested turning it into a sundae inspired by one of their Wall of Shakes creations, the Sinnamon Toast Shake. Say less, kind ice cream human. Please, make my dreams come true! For $7.50, I was handed what can only be described as a work of art. Choco Taco ice cream topped with crushed graham crackers, warm butterscotch, caramel sauce, whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon. Folks...It was PHENOMENAL! Even more shocking? There wasn't a single peanut butter ingredient involved. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, that's saying something! The Choco Taco ice cream was rich and chocolaty with crunchy waffle cone pieces mixed throughout, while the butterscotch, caramel and cinnamon transformed it into something that tasted warm and comforting despite being ice cream. Every bite was a little different, and every bite was fantastic! There isn't dedicated parking right outside the shop, but I had no trouble finding free municipal parking just a short walk away. Inside seating is pretty limited, with just a few spots available, though there are a handful of tables outside along the sidewalk that would be perfect on a beautiful evening. Whether you're stopping in for a scoop, tackling the Titanic Challenge, working your way through the Wall of Shakes or just looking for a sweet ending to a day exploring St. Michaels, Justine's absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. My dinner waitress gave me an excellent recommendation. And, now, I'm passing it along to you!

All have been creamy and flavorful. Service is always on point here. I've gotten the same service when it is just me and when I'm there with eight students, a handful of chaperones and only one employee. Scoopers have always taken the time to provide samples, answer questions and scoop ice cream. Annapolis Ice Cream stickers and merch are on point as well. So creative and fun. Annapolis Ice Cream is definitely not the cheapest in the city but it is by far my favorite.

There are lots of fruit flavored but I was craving their hazelnut gelato made with imported Piedmontese hazelnuts. Heavenly! Those ladies scooped me up something that's free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. I mean, grass fed cows are providing the organic milk for this Baltimore staple. Honestly, ice cream this good doesn't even need toppings. Pair it with a waffle cone, and it's the perfect combo. Street parking is available, but it can get pretty busy on the weekends. Don't be afraid to park a little farther away, it's worth the walk. Take your time walking to the shops around and then treat yourself to some ice cream at The Charmery. Good lord, I almost forgot about the red velvet cookie. Don't leave without getting one.

My dinner waitress recommended Justine's Ice Cream Parlor without hesitation, so I wandered a few blocks through downtown and walked in around 5:30pm on a Friday evening during Fourth of July weekend. To my surprise, I had the entire place to myself, which was perfect because this place has SO MANY choices that I needed some uninterrupted decision-making time! Justine's has been serving homemade ice cream in St. Michaels since 1987, and it's easy to see why it's become such a local tradition. Beyond dozens of ice cream flavors, they offer their famous Wall of Shakes, sundaes, floats, dog-friendly treats and even the legendary Titanic Sundae Challenge, a 6 1/2-pound mountain of ice cream and toppings that was featured on Man v. Food. Watching someone attempt that challenge would almost be worth the trip all by itself! After staring into the cases for far longer than I'd like to admit, I settled on the Choco Taco ice cream. Then the friendly employee behind the counter casually suggested turning it into a sundae inspired by one of their Wall of Shakes creations, the Sinnamon Toast Shake. Say less, kind ice cream human. Please, make my dreams come true! For $7.50, I was handed what can only be described as a work of art. Choco Taco ice cream topped with crushed graham crackers, warm butterscotch, caramel sauce, whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon. Folks...It was PHENOMENAL! Even more shocking? There wasn't a single peanut butter ingredient involved. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, that's saying something! The Choco Taco ice cream was rich and chocolaty with crunchy waffle cone pieces mixed throughout, while the butterscotch, caramel and cinnamon transformed it into something that tasted warm and comforting despite being ice cream. Every bite was a little different, and every bite was fantastic! There isn't dedicated parking right outside the shop, but I had no trouble finding free municipal parking just a short walk away. Inside seating is pretty limited, with just a few spots available, though there are a handful of tables outside along the sidewalk that would be perfect on a beautiful evening. Whether you're stopping in for a scoop, tackling the Titanic Challenge, working your way through the Wall of Shakes or just looking for a sweet ending to a day exploring St. Michaels, Justine's absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. My dinner waitress gave me an excellent recommendation. And, now, I'm passing it along to you!
