The Breakfast Choo is a food truck that you can find all over Southern Maryland - just check their…read moresocial media updates, as they let their customers know their schedule for the week/weekends.
Breakfast seems to be their specialty, but they also offer lunch and dinner options. Items, such as the Bacon Cheese Burger, the Chicken Bacon Wrap, Buffalo Chicken Tots, homemade soups, and quesadillas are some that you can choose from!
I was super excited to try them out, as I saw this food truck stopped at a gas station when the hubs and I were out in the La Plata area; I quickly jotted them down to look them up, and that was when the drooling fest began!
We ordered: the breakfast Sandwich (your choice of sausage, scrapple, bacon, or ham, with eggs cooked to order, and added cheese; we chose the bacon on white toast with over medium fried egg; simple and a straightforward breakfast sammie); the Sausage Gravy Biscuit Bowl (with buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs cooked to order, cheese, and a side of meat choice (sausage, bacon, scrapple, or ham; we opted for the sausage)); Chicken Noodle Soup (homemade, and filled with chicken, noodles, peas, corn, onions, green beans, celery, and carrots; noodles were overcooked the soup was a bit on the bland side); Loaded Tots (tater tots topped with chili, onion, cheese, pickled jalapenos, and sour cream; total comfort food at its finest); Steak Quesadilla (with salsa, cheese, corn, black beans, jalapenos, cheese, and a side of sour cream); Bacon Cheese Burger (with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, cheese, mustard, ketchup, and pickles; hand-formed patties); a Steak & Cheese Hoagie (with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, and peppers; I requested it to be without lettuce, tomato, and peppers, but these all came with; I just picked out the lettuce, and the tomatoes, but having the pickles include was an interested but still a tasty surprise); Homemade Baked Bacon Mac & Cheese; a Big Deal Burrito (with scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa, onions, choice of meat, and sour cream; we opted for the sausage; would have loved to have a side of hot sauce or extra cup of salsa); and, a cup of Andes Mint Hot Chocolate (quite possibly the best hot chocolate EVER in the world! It was minty and creamy and just the right consistency!).
All items seem to be made with love; all portions were super generous and easily shareable and equal to multiple meals for days.
I'd love to try out their other seasonal and rotating menu of items, but just their hot chocolate alone is worth the trip!
