Amazing tacos! If you're missing San Diego tacos, then come here! Great service and great tacos!

We saw Tacos Hernandez while in the area, and we knew we had to stop by due to their awesome signage! Their menu offers a standard menu, as well as their house specialties and breakfast items. We ordered: +Quesabirria - comes with 3; the meat itself could have been a bit more juicy, as it was slightly dried out; the consommé was delicious and a great complement +Tacos - we ordered 2 pollo tacos and 2 carne asada tacos; the shredded chicken tacos were forgettable, and we weren't really fans; the star of the show, however, were the carne asada tacos - these chunks of meat were marinated and seasoned very well, and were savory and delicious; there were some chunks with some fat, which the hubs loved; the handmade tortillas were great +a mango juice - freshly prepared, it seems, as it seemed literally 100% juice of a mango; not too sweet either We'd love to try their breakfast or their regular burritos next time, and we're hoping that horchata will be available on the next visit! This is definitely a family -owned and -run business; the staff were super sweet, kind, and welcoming! The restaurant is small and cozy, with a handful of seating. Finding such a cute little authentic Mexican spot in such a random area was a pleasant surprise! Plenty of parking available. +tasty carne asada! +friendly & kind staff and service +parking available

3 tacos; al pastor, asada, and birria. A plate of rice and beans. And 4 different types of salsa. Homemade Tortillas & fresh agua frescas.

Place was authentic. Everything I has delicious! My favorite was the rice and beans, agua fresca, and the homemade tortillas! Service was excellent!

Best birria tacos! It's just a little stop along Great Mills. It does have indoor seating but we got ours to go on the way to explore lighthouses. The owner is very nice. We enjoyed discussing all things Mexico. Food is very authentic with handmade tortillas.

Al pastor torta

I have been meaning to try this since they opened and I had the opportunity to head over there a couple weeks ago. I ordered the al pastor torta. It was delicious. In retrospect I should've eaten it fresh right there in the restaurant but I took it home a short drive away. By then the bread was soggy but I just engorged in it like that kid with the chocolate cake in the 90s movie Matilda.

I am new to the area and found this place scrolling around a map looking for lunch. We got tacos, guacamole and a side of rice and beans. We also got all 3 of their hot sauces on the side. Everything was delicious. My hubs did prefer the chicken and pork over the asada taco which he thought was too chewy and fatty. The tortillas are thick corn tortillas so no tearing apart when you try to eat them! Authentic places like this are hard to find in St. Mary's. They also have vegan soy meat available and it was tasty- so bring anyone! We will absolutely return for takeout and maybe add photos of food... we scarfed it down too quickly

Carnitas with beans and rice!

Friendly service and fantastic food. It's cozy but a very cool little place. No line, so we got our orders quickly and everything was great.

We stopped by while we were in the area to have a late lunch - we ordered: +the Seafood Cannelloni - stuffed with shrimp, crab, and ricotta in a housemade pasta, baked, and topped with a choice of cabernet marinara or Parm alfredo sauce; you can also do half and half!; this was actually a pretty okay dish, with the sauces being thick and creamy; the best part, however, as the side of garlic bread that was super garlicky and had a nice crisp to it - amazing when dipping in the sauce! The cannelloni itself was okay, but the seafood filling was a bit overcooked, making both the shrimp bits and the crab rubbery +the Crab Cake Dinner - you can choose 1 or 2 5oz crabcakes; served with a choice of 2 sides; we went for the House Salad and the Skinny Fries; the salad that was served had old/wrinkled tomatoes; just couldn't see why a restaurant would serve something like that to its patrons; we were excited for the crabcakes, but they were less than mediocre; the hot sauce that they had was not a good complement at all; fries were not seasoned at all and forgettable Service was fine, and the place is dim-lit and slightly cramped - if you're sitting at one of the tables set in an angular way, you're bound to be constantly bumped into by the passing service staff and patrons.
