We stopped after here after 10 hours on the road craving vegetables and something that wasn't served on a bun. It's Chilis just as you would expect it to be. We sat at the bar and Millie was our server/bartender. Friendly and attentive so we didn't really want for anything. We both had Sirloins and they were pretty tasty. Again I give Chili's four stars as they have a great happy hour menu as I enjoy watching sports at their bar area in the restaurant as the wait service continues to be consistently great no matter what state or what town I visit. Poor Friday 4:45 happy hour for drinks and appetizers. There were 2 tall tables of, 2 per table, small, unsupervised children ages 3 - 9, whose mothers were at another table. We sat at the bar but find it difficult to eat at the bar. They were there for 2 hours, drinking water, screaming, fighting, being loud. It made for an unpleasant experience, we left after 2 drinks. Despite this, they did a very good job staying on top of things. The lack of a star is due to the chips. Way too much salt Chilis! It's like a coating of salt for each chip. I was pleasantly impressed with the quality of Chili's food. I haven't been to a Chili's in about 12 years, way before they revamped their image. The staff was friendly and our food came out promptly. Everything was fresh and delicious. We went in the day before to eat there too, but we didn't stay to eat that night. We waited around the lobby area with 2 other parties waiting on tables. No one came by to take our names, a waitress kept saying someone will be right with us, though no one ever came. There were numerous tables left un-bussed which made me think there was a lack of staff, so we left after seeing the signs of bad service. Since we're in a small town, we decided to go back the next night and I'm glad we did. Whatever kinks there were in the night before were ironed out and we had an enjoyable time. read more

Waters refilled awhile after being completely empty, waitress would disappear for at least 20 minutes at a time, it took us 20 mins alone to get a to go box, after a solid 2 hours of waiting to finish our meal. Worst service in town. The wait for your food is longer than my patience, and I am a patient person. I've actually given this restaurant a few chances. Had the worst experience ever there last night. It was my husbands birthday so we picked there to celebrate ( bad idea) wouldn't suggest it to anyone. First things first we ordered drinks and Nachos ... 2 hours later after asking more than a few times we were told that the oven accidentally got turned off. One of us 4 got their food because it was a burger... the rest of us (3) had ordered Nachos... after our friend got all the way done eating and was full and ready to go- (39 mins later) our Nachos come out... they were the most rubber tasting Nachos ever.. couldn't even hardly bite them apart. We decided to just try and eat them... we weren't even hungry anymore really because of the wait. We asked for them to go ahead and sing Happy Birthday pls so we could leave... At this time they had very few tables and a ton of staff - we waited and tried to come up with convos to keep the surprise of the birthday song. I decided money might y'all since we were clearly getting nowhere - went and tipped our waitress $11 (what I had in cash) and asked again... husband was now ready to go.. he had worked 10 hours before we went there and now being at Chili's Plainview for almost 4 hours was just not working. I asked 1 more time... 2 more people.. told them he was ready to go. Still 20 mins later nothing... so thanks Chili's for nothing.... I do not recommend anybody eat here while in quarantine. We ordered curbside service through the app and didn't get waited on until 30 minutes later. Food was soggy and cold like it had been sitting out for awhile. Very inconvenient! I'd recommend ordering locally if you want good service and hot food. I had to call the restaurant because they had forgotten our drinks and they were not apologetic at all! Bad customer service!! The curbside takeout option is not worth it unless you like cold food and rude service. Why give the option to identify your car if they are not looking out for you. Tonight my wife and I ate at the Chili's in Plainview. First of all I want to give matt a shout out. He was an awesome waiter. He took good care of us. My wife and I ordered the two for $25 meal. We both ordered a caesar salad as a starter and got separate meals. Neither one of us ate more than a few bites of our salad due to their being no dressing on the salad and the lettuce being very soggy like it sat out on the counter for a few hours. When our meals arrived my wife's plate was warm and the way she ordered it. I ordered the habanero chicken crispers and when my meal was brought out it did not have french fries and I was told that they will be out in a few minutes. The chicken was barely room temperature (cold) when I took my first bite immediately after receiving it at the table. Needless to say I was very disappointed in this trip with the quality of the food being made. And after eating most of the cold chicken and my loaded mashed potatoes I had to ask for my fries because they still have not arrived. This is how our dinner went after originally arriving 1 hour before our original time of being sat down at a table. When we arrived earlier we were told that a large party had come in and it would be a close to a 45 minute wait before we could be sat down. I asked if we could sit at a table with a drink and some chips and salsa and wait for the large party to be served until they took our order and we were told that we could not be put at a table for over 30 minutes even though half of the restaurant was completely empty. I was not expecting any type of service because they have the large party I just wanted to be seated with my wife and our baby while we waited for our order to be taken. I was fine waiting for 30 minutes but they told me they could not seat us. I was the district manager at a Chili's in Utah and I would have been extremely pissed if my night crew turned away a customer like this. Normally we get great food and service but I was very disappointed in the tasting quality of everything I received this evening. Even though Matt had great service he did offer to put it in the microwave but that's just an unacceptable solution to the way our meal went. This is ok as far as Chili' goes. Not great, but ok. It took a while to get our food out, but in this case it was ok because we were catching up with a dear friend we hadn't seen in a long time. The food wasn't super hot, but warm. I was starving so I just ate it. We didn't get refills as often as I would have liked, but at least she came and checked on us. Would I come back? The table wasn't bussed, things weren't brought to our table, drinks took forever to get refilled, ticket took way too long to come out.
