Best darn tootin Chili's In Texas. Them dag gone cheese sticks melted my heart and upped my cholesterol. The enchiladas were so authentic I started speaking Spanish "Que Paso". And ooooowie they got these fancy lemonades that they put them special flavors in (I got watermelon) and it was the best drink I ever had (next to dr pepper of course because nobody beats the doc!) and these sweet ladies serving us were so helpful and refills were there before we even needed them! 5 stars!!! read more

Our group of 10 stopped off at this Chili's after the Polar Express train ride. It was the worst food I've ever eaten. Many of us ordered the chicken wings. It was like I was eating a leather boot. I stopped after eating two of them. Burnt to a crisp. No one at our table enjoyed their food except the one that ordered the salad. I feel sorry for anyone that eats here. We had the worst experience of any Chili's we have ever been in. Hamburger was burned, chips were soggy. I sent one plate back, they brought another one as bad as the first, the server removed Viosk before we could look at the check. We paid, left the store and then noticed they billed for BOTH plates. Chili's in Palestine has really gone downhill and not because of stupid covid. We were waiting to get seated while people that had come in after us had been getting seated. We were not a huge party, only 2 of us, so it's not like we were having to wait for a big table. What happened to getting seated in order of when you got to a place and signed in? Stopped there for a late lunch about 2:30 pm. Not busy, 4 tables & a booth was all there was as far as customers. We stood for 11 minutes waiting for someone to show up to seat us. A girl finally showed up and told us a booth was being cleaned and it would be a minute. What? Nothing was being cleaned & they were mostly empty. Ordered the Margarita Grilled chicken with asparagus and rice, to go. When I arrived home I noticed the chicken was not grilled, but appeared to be boiled?? No signs of ever being on a grill. On the 26th of January I call in an order so my husband could pick it up on his way home from work because I have be very ill. The food was not ready for him to pick up when I called it in 30 minutes before he got off from work. He had to wait 30 minutes for the order when his job is 45 minutes away from Palestine, Texas where we live. The meats in our order was silvery and the sour cream was hot and runny. Has always been good in the past. Have been to this Chili's numerous times including at their grand opening. Food and service have always been good. But last night (7/2/18) they were completely disorganized and apparently short on knowledgeable kitchen staff and cleanup staff. Took over an hour to get our food after we ordered and most was cold when it arrived. Manager said that they were busier than expected and short on staff, but that's the problem of the manager, not the customers. Hopefully they can straighten out their issues as it's nice to have a Chili's in Palestine. read more

My husband and I went there earlier this week around 8pm. The host sat us down. We sat there for 15 minutes with no one serving us. Multiple waiters walked past our table and never said anything. We finally just got up and left. There were only 4 other tables. I understand with people not working, but this wasn't a full restaurant by any means. Service was a solid B minus, and food was a solid B minus as well, just what the hell I was looking for. Nothing makes me happier than some B minus food for an C minus price. Food is good as always. Typical chili's. Never great but tasty enough. The restaurant is way too small. Hardly any waiting area at all. Maybe enough for 4 people to wait on a table. Bar is tiny. First time to come in months since losing our order last time. See nothing has changed ,was seated right away but after 10-15 minute wait no waiter. Had to get wait staff at front to solve that problem, when waiter showed he mumbled an apology. Tried to get him to take food order when he got drink other but he left. Got food and food was okay except my wife's burger was not what she ordered . We were never given any napkins and couldn't get our waiter but luckily neighbors at table next to us heard us and gave them some of theirs. Finally our waiter shows up after my son had been waiting for a while to get his drink refilled so we asked for more napkins and when he brings the drink no napkins and we have to wait again If this was our first incident here we would have just thought we had a bad waiter but I think it's a poorly run operation. I ordered the Ancho Salmon and fiancé ordered the Trio sampler; our waiter was great but the food was very slow coming. My salmon had black crusty stuff on the bottom; my rice and broccoli were salty and room temperature; it also looked nothing like the pic from the menu. His sampler items - fried pickles, sliders and chicken crispers were all room temperature as well. We talked to 2 managers and they offered to re-do the food but we were hungry and decided to go elsewhere. Will try back in a month or so after they work the kinks out. July 30th tried Chili's again. Will give them 1 star solely for the sweetness of our server Sophie. I ordered Buffalo Chicken Salad and fiancé ordered Sunrise Burger. After seeing people who had come in AFTER us receive their food and a 30 minute wait we received my warm salad and his cold burger without fries. He sent his burger back and I was mostly done by the time his arrived. I've eaten at about 20 Chili's over the years and have never had such bad experiences - they are 0 for 2 in my book and will not return to this one again. Best service I've gotten at a restaurant in a long time. Food was prepared to everyone's liking. It was clean. One of the best Chili's.

We just left this restaurant, which is typically one of our favorite places to eat in Palestine. Tonight was awful tho! We walked-in at 7:15pm, it wasn't very busy. We have eaten there on Saturday nights when every table was full, but tonight they even had one section completely closed off & several empty tables open. We did not get our tickets paid for & walk out until 8:38pm!!! Waitress brought our kids' meals first which we appreciated, & 2 of the adult entrees were brought at the same time as the kids' meals, but my husband waited another 15 minutes for his entree. His steak was supposed to be cooked medium-well, the inside was ok, but the outside was charred too much. Then when we asked for our tickets it took another 10-12 minutes. I realize waitresses can get overwhelmed sometimes, but when the restaurant isn't very busy how does she keep up on nights that it's crazy busy?? Plus we could see her standing in the back when we had asked for things we needed on our table & she was not doing anything but standing there maybe talking to other wait staff. I'm really not sure? I just know that if I had realized how long we were going to be there, we would've opted to go elsewhere. Extremely disappointed! Our friend's ticket was overcharged so she went & found the manager instead of waiting another 10-15 minutes for our waitress to come get it, fix it & return it to the table. The manager was nice enough to give her some gift cards & a coupon for a free kids meal, but honestly I'm still so baffled at why we were there for so long on a slow night. read more

Chili's is far superior to Applebee's. There is a very noticeable distinction between those who patronize Chili's and those who chose to frequent that other lesser quality dining establishment. The service at chili's is also better. Those who find themselves unable to provide decent service leave chili's and begin working at Applebee's where the hiring standards are much lower. Extremely slow. They appeared to have the appropriate number of waitstaff with three to four tables per person. Unfortunately, our waitress' trainer neglected to tell her that you actually have to check on your tables sometime while they are seated in your section. I paid for my food (with the portable pay system) a long time before my food came.
