Let me start by acknowledging the beautiful manager that never fails to remind me of the Chili's rewards. I get closer and closer to actually signing up. Every time I step foot into this joint, it is like the lights from God shine down on to my table. Those booths were made for bad decisions and scrumptious queso. Firstly, triple dipper. ARE WE KIDDING?!? I dig into that thang like lion attacking a chicken for its gizzards. The oil from the mozzarella sticks that drips down my arm is absorbed by my skin like a serum. HALLELUJAH!!! I leave this establishment unsure if what is going to explode first: my stomach from the savory goodness or my toilet;). I stare at the fools walking into Portillo's and laugh. I go for the fajitas, but stay for the humiliation of sizzling plate approaching my greedy little fingers (I think there is something wrong with me -_-) #derp. You haven't lived until you come face to face with that molten lava cake. I have made it my routine to visit Chili's at least once a week. I come for the food but am forced to stay due to my shoes being stuck to the sticky floor #nohate. I've gained 23 pounds in the last three months. Chili's....for us a blast from the past, used to go regularly when we were dating. We were hungry, but not hungry..., just a snack..... We saw the three for $10.99 meal.....so we gave it a try.... For a beverage we both ordered Coke products. Appetizers, my bride ordered the salad, for myself it was chips and salsa. Both were good, not exceptional. Salt and pepper were absent from the table as was a fork for her salad. Entree, two burgers.... 1 Old Timer w/cheese and 1 Big Smasher Burger. Both were good, the Old Timer was your basic preformed round patty, the Smasher was a thicker and larger free formed patty. Both were good, however IMHO was the better burger. It was not only more flavorful and the better cut of meat. The Old Timer was aptly named, old, tired and flat. The fries were ok, just way too much salt added. Our server was ok, he did warn us he was new and learning but disappeared often and once for over 15 minutes. That made it difficult as my wife was missing a fork for her salad and making beverage refills difficult. Luckily other servers came to the rescue. We have gone to Chili's for decades. We go far less these days as they have removed most of the dishes and appetizers we enjoyed over the years. One that has remained, steak fajitas, is what we ordered. Two orders and both were devoid of any flavor or that slight external char on the meat that we have loved for decades. This was our second time back in a couple of weeks. We again both had the three for me with the smashburger, fries, cream of potato soup, chips and salsa and cokes to drink. He got a frozen strawberry margarita which was delicious. Everything was really tasty and the thousand island dressing on the smashburger is a really nice touch. Richard the manager came by several times but the place was quite busy, especially for Thursday lunch. Our waiter, a guy whose name I've forgotten, was also super nice and extremely attentive. Took my daughters here for lunch and it was nice. The food was pretty good and came out quickly. Always order the chips and salsa- Chili's does have the best chips and salsa I must say. Added the guacamole but that was a dud, not so tasty. Ordered steak fajitas, mouth bites burgers and crispers for lunch. All of it was good. Love coming here for the drinks. I'm not a huge fan of the food since most of everything is meat-based and spicy, and I'm a vegetarian. But sometimes we just go anyway because I like their drinks (especially the mango margarita). We did get the cheesy fries as an appetizer and that was super good. I've tried their cheese quesadillas twice (with veggies), but after just two tiny pieces, I'm super full and my stomach doesn't feel too awesome. It might be from the cheese? I'm not sure. It probably would have helped my demeanor if I could have waitlisted myself ahead of time. And it would have helped me avoid a walk into and then back out of the restaurant in the rain. But I understand that we're all figuring out our way here in the time of the plague. Thursday night's $5 margarita was the Presidente, so that got me feeling better right away. The mixed drinks are good here, but watching the waitstaff short pour the drinks was depressing. C'mon folks! We're all trying to get through this TOGETHER. Make it rain! Overall, the margs were good, even if they weren't potent. Me and my friend both had a salad, she was happy to see the Tropical Salad back on the menu, I went with the spicy chicken. No complaints here. Chicken was tender and juicy, and salad lettuce wasn't all full of that funky purple leaf stuff. Excellent portions, too. 600 calories? For all this? Serious? Last complaint - and it's not a big one -- but I think the Chili's secret chip laboratories have exceeded the usable thinness level on the chips. When you can longer dip a chip in salsa and come up without breaking it, the chips are TOO THIN! Okay, overall, this was a nice place for a casual dinner. I had a bad experience at another Chili's, so years later decided to give it another try. It was worst than the 1st time . First the floor was sticky walking in, then when they seated us, the table was sticky, and there was pop dripping from a chair. The waitress Crystal was attending us while it seemed she was training some young kids how to work there.....lol. Some tall woman, joke of a manager not seeing how bad it is in here or ignoring how bad it is, just walks up and down the restaurant not correcting anything, especially that sticky floor. We got very slow service, took forever to order. While bringing our drinks, they dripped all down the glasses onto the floor then the table. She was like oops, I made a mess. Nobody cleaned nothing, now I knew why the floor was sticky walking in. This restaurant is filthy, and I imagined how bad the kitchen was. Like I said, terrible experience.. go elsewhere or just remember I warned you. When we received our food the salsa was old, my avocado was black, and the old rewarmed rice was deteriorating. Also, I was hesitant about the black beans but still ate them. Big mistake... big. I was in and out the bathroom all night. Also check your bill, we got added charges on there that made no sense. We came here for lunch to celebrate my sisters 81st birthday It was the worst experience!!!! Slow (read glacial) service with almost no one in the place. They didn't bring food for one of the guests, and when he asked about it, as he was very hungry, they said that's not how we do it. You have to wait. It was a bowl of Chili and a salad.... I've been eating at Chilis for over 25 years But I had to walk out if this location because it was absolutely deplorable! The floors were absolutely disgusting! It seems like the waitress or the person that's allegedly cleans the table just said screw it and took the mess the patrons left on the table and threw it on the floor. If the floors where the customers are eating is that filthy..I can only imagine how dirty the kitchen and its floors mighr be! If you order Chili's to go. Don't expect to go anywhere soon! This is our 4th time ordering To Go from this location. This is the 4th time the order has been nowhere ready by the time indicated. Which is normally 25 minutes from the order placed online. We've done this on a Thursday, on a Wednesday. Weekdays, the same result. The shortest amount of time having to wait past the order due time was 20 minutes. I've waited up to 45 minutes past the time noted on the order. Tonight, I showed up 14 minutes past the due time. Squeezed myself into the waiting area, which is smaller than my modest closet, with 9 other people. Can you say fire code violation. I am sure at least two of them had their cars parked in the handicap spots. Both with no handicap placards. This happens all the time. The restaurant does not enforce it. I called Oswego PD so I am sure there are a couple of folks that spent more on their dinner than they bargained for. Seriously, there is no excuse for taking a spot designated for disabled people and you should be ashamed!!! Now they do curb side pick up. More like double parked pick up and handicap parking spot pick up. This location was not built for these services. Oh, the the plastic take home container does little to keep your food warm. To be fair, if we would've ate in, we would've been served faster than we did for the to go. This begs the question if corporate sets a 25 minute expectation for the customer, why isn't the manager upholding this? Seemingly, folks dining in are priority to the staff, not the to go customers. Customers, since guests are usually treated better. In closing, to the manager. If you wondered why the order in the photo attached to this review was still sitting on your non warming to go table, the aforementioned is why. I wasn't going to wait in a room stuffed tighter than a New York subway during rush hour for food promised more than 20 minutes earlier. Always fast, friendly service. Never have to wait to be seated as I mostly go in the late lunch hour. I haven't been disappointed with the food yet. On my recent visit, my husbands Ancho Salmon was prepared to well to the point it was almost crispy like fried chicken. He didn't want to send it back, but I insisted. Our server, was apologetic, polite took it away and server returned with a freshly prepared piece of salmon in a reasonable timeframe. The manager even came over to check in our experience. Does this look like what you expect when you order Nachos? Not me, but this is what I got for approx $10. I did get another 2 layers of the same separated by tin foil. I am a cheese lover but that's basically all I got with an occasional chip underneath. Even toooo much cheese for me. Very disappointing. I had literally the worst dining experience of my life at this Chili's. I wish I would have filed a major complaint, but that's not really my style. Let me start out by saying I was a server for 8 years and have worked in 3 different restaurants, including a chain. The management here has their head up their ASSES!!!! We went to dine here on Veterans Day (not realizing there was a special offering FREE dinners to veterans). We were quoted a wait time of 45 minutes for 6 plus a high chair. This group included an 8 year old, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. We were apprehensive, but didn't want to load the kids in the car again. We waited in the bar area, where over half the tables were empty. I asked if we could sit there, or why the tables were not seated, and they said they were under - staffed...on a night with free specials...awesome. Also, half of the tables in the dining room were open due to not having enough servers. Not good planning in my opinion. After an hour of waiting, I went to check on our table. They said it should be open any minute, and not to worry. In the meantime, a couple enters the restaurant and sits in the bar at an empty table... the bar server explains that there is a wait and all tables should be seated by the hostess, but that she would check. I see the manager (who is helping behind the bar) tell her to just let them sit. Meanwhile there are at least 30 people waiting, most with children, at the front waiting INCLUDING MY FAMILY. I am getting really heated now.. Another half hour goes by, so I check in again. They told me they buzzed our buzzer and called our name in the bar area with no response. I heard names being called, anxiously awaiting to hear mine. Let me tell you, no one called my name. So now they make us wait another 15 min to sit down because we "didn't answer when called." We have now been waiting for 1 hour and 45 min and are seated at 7:45pm (15 min before my son's bedtime). As soon as we sit down we place our order because our kids are cranky and starving. Another 40 min goes by. Surprise surprise, our food was not rung in. I am now at my breaking point. After speaking with management, they finally get the food rushed out to us...but somehow they forget my entree, a California Flatbread... so I wait YET ANOTHER 15 min for an undercooked, rushed flatbread. I obviously call for management again and explain that this night has been absolutely awful with one thing after another. She apologizes and brings me the bill. All that she did was comp the flatbread. Like, are you kidding??? I'm telling you how fricken awful this is and that is your way of apologizing? I do not expect things comped, or even want it, but I was just blown away. I left the restaurant at 9:30. Exactly 3.5 hours after arriving. Needless to say I will not be going to Chili's again, no matter how good the food is. read more

This is just my personal opinion of the food. It taste like frozen, reheated, cheap food (but you pay 9.00 and up a plate). Sooo much salt. My husband and I go here and then always question why we did. The food is awful. The service is great but I know the managers are awful to the employees. The wait staff also has an alcohol quota they have to meet each week and that's why they push their terrible drinks on you. The food was OK. But the prices are fairly steep, especially if you order them individually (i.e. not with any other offers/specials). Several of the entrées are at least $10. The place is a bar as well; and seemed to be crowded: we had a near 10-15 minute wait. We ordered the '2 for $20'. It comes with a choice of 1 appetizer and 2 entrées. For the appetizer we ordered the (1/2 bowl) of Texan Cheese Fries and for the entrées: Fajitas and Cajun Chicken Pasta. The serving sizes were smaller than we expected for the entrées and the appetizer was extremely unhealthy. There were no 'sides' for the Pasta, just what we felt was soggy Garlic Bread. The onions for the Fajitas were a bit raw, they could have been caramelized a bit more. The chicken in both the Pasta and Fajita were a bit over-grilled/hard; they could be more tender and seasoned better. The sides (sour cream, grated cheese, salsa and guacamole) for the fajitas were good; but there could be a bit more guac. Overall the food was average, and nothing to brag about; while the prices seemed to be above average. Additionally, every table has a machine that allows you to swipe your card yourself, which is great, but beware! On our receipt we found that they had charged us ($2) for games, which we did not play. Thankfully, our server took care of it and we did not have to pay for something that we did not use. The overall bill was $25 (excluding desserts and drinks; but including tips and taxes) and you can definitely do better than this at other places - both in terms of pricing and portion size. If the price levels are lowered, we may contemplate going here again. read more

This location sucks. Why is it so hard to have napkins and a knife at the table? The bag of utensils is annoyong when missing parts and a waste of paper. Asked for lemon in my water and they are out. Server was as engaging as a flat tire. Seemed to be put out that we asked for napkins and to put the Blackhawks game on one of the TVs. I thought this Chili's was great. I haven't been to one in years and this was a good one to go to after so long. My boyfriend and I walked in and the hostess was really friendly and told us about the electronic thing on the table and a few specials they were having. Then our waitress was also really friendly. We shared a burger and the waitress told them to cut it in half for us which was nice. So now the food. We got the TNT burger which had fried pickles and a coleslaw on it and it was amazing! It wasn't to big which was a good thing cause we both don't eat much. He so got the Texas Mac n cheese and I got loaded mash potatoes. All was delicious and it wasn't that expensive.
