It has been about eight or nine years since I've been to Chili's. I've avoided this chain because I try to avoid large amounts of sodium, and I always remember everything tasting salty at Chili's. The reason we went was we were out with my godson and his new wife, and we were outside of the major cities in Wisconsin. Chili's is what the kids voted on, and we decided we'd try to make the best of it. We ordered potato skins and boneless chicken wings for appetizers. Obviously, being gluten-free, the boneless wings were for the kids. They seemed to enjoy them. The potato skins were decent, a little heavy on the green onions but that's easily overlooked. I ordered a steak for my main course. It was seasoned and tasted extraordinarily salty. The steamed broccoli was salty. The loaded mashed potatoes were salty. My wife ordered the tortilla explosion salad which she said was awful, especially the dressing. That night, my stomach was unhappy. I'm unsure if something I ordered that shouldn't have had gluten did, or if it was something else, but the whole experience was less than pleasant. My guess is it will be at least another eight or nine years for me to brave Chili's again. read more

Your standard Chili's..what can I say? I ordered Chili To Go since my hotel was right across from this restaurant. I ordered their fire corn guacamole with chips as appetizer and their grilled chicken salad. They gave me a huge bag of chips..I could only finish 1/4 of the bag and dumped the rest. The guacamole was pretty tasty. I liked the salsa that came with it too.. of course this is all junk food stuff so anyone would like junk food. My salad was standard. Nothing special. I did ask for low-fat ranch dressing and they did supply that along with their honey-lime vinaigrette. I didn't think the vinaigrette was going to taste good, which was why I replaced it with low-fat ranch, but after trying it out it was actually pretty good. An even more healthy option! Not only was the server(bartender) rude and unprofessional but the service overall was very poor! It wasn't very busy sadly we found out why!!! we literally sat right next to the bar to make it even easier... but the poor service and bad attitude of the server continued, literally not a smile once, not please or thank you, "here", "you ready to order or not". I should've known to leave when it was dead and took longer than 10 min to get a water. Anyway I had planned to order another drink because it took 15 minutes to get water, and another 20 for the first cocktail (mind you we are sitting literally 3 feet from the bar) so when I had a sip of my margarita left I attempted to reorder; when I still didn't get my second cocktail and all our food came out I reminded her I would like my drink, she literally refused to reorder a drink for me until mine was gone.. which she certainly didn't mention the first time I asked, not a big deal one sip and gone... now the person I'm with has a bloody and a beer, the table next to us multiple cocktails...we ordered enough food for 4 people and I had 1 drink at this point. We also eat here regularly and have never had such poor service or been told I cannot reorder a cocktail.. After her snotty attitude continued and her failure to return with our drink or bill... (again not busy.. and we're sitting right by the bar...) we decided to pay and go else where! Being a bartender and having a license I am very aware of regulations and will not be returning unless this is corrected. I was hesitant to go to Chili's Bar and Grill; I thought the restuarent was trashy. But my friends encouraged me to go there, so I gave in, and we ate at the Chili's in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Afterward, my perception had changed. I encountered a liking for Chili's after some time and have continued to go there since. Chili's is a family friendly restaurant that serves a variety of food. The appetizer menu includes items such a guacamole, chips, and nachos. The fresh guacamole is served with warm tostada chips for only $7.49. I could taste the fresh cilantro and onions, alongside the classic nachos served at $11.99. Additionally, the menu has items ranging from burgers and steaks to soups and salads. There is even a dessert menu with rich, chocolate desserts. In addition to this, their service is incredible. The server greeted us the minute we sat down, and didn't leave us waiting. Each of the waiters and waitresses always tend to your needs and will never let you down. The restaurant is also clean and tidy all the time. There's never a piece of trash laying around or a dirty table. I remember going to Chili's for my 15th birthday. A group of friends brought me there. At first I was worried that the food would not taste good and I wouldn't be able to find something to eat. Once I got there I immediately looked at the large assortment of menu items and was overwhelmed about what to order. As I ordered classic nachos with chicken, the waitress was extremely welcoming and always kept a smile on her face. Within the next 30 minutes, all of our food had been served. After we were done eating, 4 or 5 servers brought out a dessert and sang happy birthday to me. Eating at Chili's made for a very memorable birthday. My great experiences at Chili's do not end here. I have dined at Chili's in many states including Wisconsin, Minnisota, Virginia, and Michigan. Everytime I have returned to the restaurant I have been treated with care. It is not just one server that is kind, many of them consistantly are. Each and every employee that I have met at Chili's is friendly and always has a smile on their face. In addition to this, each time I have been to Chili's I have never had a problem with the food. The food always comes out fast and is never greasy or yucky. Overall, I highly recommend Chili's and would give it a 10 out of 10 rating. This is a great option for all customers. There is something there for all ages and types of people to eat. If you are ever looking for a quick, casual, and affordable dining option, Chili's is the place to go. read more

Kind of silly to review this low on the food chain establishment, but even chain restaurants should acknowledge customers when they come in and offer to serve them. Apparently that's just too much to ask. But...you know, it's a Chili's. If you want restaurant service you should go to a real restaurant. read more

Its shocking that most people are upset with this place. Yes, ITS A CHAIN!! They do have the computers for paying the tab so I can understand that some people think that they are rude. Go to the bar. Kristine is phenomenal. Was only in town for 2 nights and she made it feel like home. Would go back in a heart beat if I had another night because the service was outstanding. The manager even came out and shook all of our hands to thank us all for coming out. Not what you normally get at a chain but this place was alright. Its chillis folks. Lighten up. We had Teri for our server. I haven't had service like hers in many years! It was exceptional!!! She was pleasant, prompt and made sure that everything was perfect for us. She checked back frequently even after we ate and were visiting with friends. She kept our beverages full. I will return to this restaurant and will ask for Teri as my server again! My husband used to like going here so I used to be able to tolerate the chicken Caesar salad. Last sat they said they took that off their menu. The waitress said they got rid of Caesar dressing. I can't imagine it was bending their profit margin by keeping a bottle of Caesar dressing around?? But apparently it was. So I asked for ranch dressing. It was good. But only if the lettuce was not brown it would have been edible. I am 8 months pregnant so I asked for a NA margarita. They said they don't do NA drinks anymore either. I almost walked out. food was very good, service was very good. one small issue........ every table/booth has a small monitor/computer so while wife and i were waiting for food we decided to play a trivia game on this device. we did not realize there was a $2.00 fee to use it. it may show somewhere that it had a fee to use it but we didn't see it. not a big deal but just wanted others to know this before they use it. other than that we will go back. read more

Would not return. $30 for 2 beers and a steak that looked like it was microwaved. Bar tender was playing with waitress throwing ice and using fowl language. When I told him about the food he just chuckled. If you are staying across the street you may have to drive for a good meal, but it's worth it. read more

Thank you Chilis for accommodating my special request. I've had gastric surgery and the brought me the insides of the chicken tacos, no taco shells with grilled instead of fried chicken, no bacon and veggies and beans. Ate less than half, took the rest home. Delicious and I appreciate the service! This is a bariatric friendly restaurant. read more

The food was not the issue. An employee called me a cheapskate when I was going to leave. I had planned on coming back to give her a tip because she looked like she was having a bad night, but after that no. I have been going here since they opened, this is the first time I have had someone be that blatantly rude. Don't know your name brunette from chili's to go but as a former waitress I know that you get more of the cash tips than if you put the tip on your card. I was attempting to do you a favor. I get that you had a bad night tonight but understand you are in the service industry, that does not give you the right to insult a customer. We use to get their El Presidenti Margarita and it was special hand made and super. They now serve it from a button and it taste very poor. I would suggest that6 you order just a plain margarita. The food is great and Lodi, Ca. Chili's is Top Notch except for their El Presidenti Margarita. read more
