I was a little apprehensive to come to this Chili's after reading the reviews, but had a free birthday dessert to use; so I gave it a shot. I went at lunch and it was very busy. It took a few minutes for the hostess to return to the front to seat me. Not that she was rude or anything but she wasnt really friendly as a hostess should be. It only took a couple of minutes and my waitress came and took my drink order as well as my order as I already knew what I wanted. I order the Triple Dipper appetizer for my meal. It only took about 15 mins to make it to the table. It looked fantastic. I picked up my southwestern eggroll (my fav) and was disappointed that it was not crispy and just slightly warm but still tasted good. Then I had the big bites ( I think that's what they are called); first time to taste the hamburgers. They were the best, I really liked them. I also had the crispy chipotle chicken tenders. They were alright as they were a little tough (over cooked), but the sauce was great. Then it was time for the chocolate molten cake! It was fantastic! Just wished I would have taken a picture before I broke up the hard chocolate shell and dug into it, oh well. My waitress was friendly and I liked her but she didn't check on my drink to refill it and I found myself having to look for her to flag for her to come over. Hit or Miss... They are short staffed or they have all new staff. Party of 6 took 45mins to be seated. Salad came after meal. Had to ask for it 3 times. The service was adequate for the location (also being a server myself), food was great, the only thing I would recommend is if you're smaller don't over order bc I had lots to take home. I had a sirloin with asparagus and broccoli, broccoli was plain but everything else was cooked perfectly. Spent $60 on 2 of the worst tasting steak dinners I've EVER triedto eat! Wish I could get me money back or something bc that food went right in the trash! First off the steaks texture was that of if one had purchased it from one of those prefrozen food trucks that comes adound neighborhoods and tries to sell meat packages at a discount price. My boyfriend that eats anything bc he grew up with a mom that wasn't a great cook, couldn't even eat his food! The loaded mashed potatoes tasted like they had been prepared a couple of days before and was nuked in a microwave before it got to me. The broccoli wasn't much better, very rubbery and no flavor! Again wish I could get my money back or some sort of compensation! You'd think a restaurant being in a small town with not many others to choose from would be superb and top quality taste, yeah WRONG! Worst food ever! My coworker and I went for lunch during work hours. The wait staff changed twice during our lunch but were friendly (We are still not sure who was waiting on us). The chips and salsa were stale but came quickly. We received our salads fairly quickly as well. Then waited 50 mins for our meal. After it finally arrived it was obvious we had been forgotten about and it had set under a heat lamp for an extended period. I know places get slow and are sometimes understaffed but we waited almost 20 minutes without a single word from a sever when we were sat. One word or acknowledgment that they knew we were there would have kept us there. We could tell the time because we got the text that our table was ready at 6:59pm and left at 7:17pm. Tragic experience! I should have listened to Julee's review. I came in for a quick snack and that was not going to happen. Even sat in the lounge so I would not have to wait for a table. I ordered water with lemon. The sweetener was hard and clumpy and would not dissolve. Perhaps it had been wet before and dried?? Strike one. I then requested a cup of hot water and lemon to squelch the cold. They were extremely short handed like they had been the last two times I'd been in. I got water straight from the tap no lemon. Strike two. Appetizer was ok until I got to the ROTTING celery on my plate! Both ends were brown and wilted, even dehydrated! See pictures! Strike three! We were done. Won't be back for a while! This small town is a meeting place for my boyfriend and I since we are long distance. And on Sunday's we always go to chili's as a ritual. This chili's is very clean and has polite staff. We sit on the bar side and enjoy the happy hour specials, $6 dollar boneless wings, two for one beers. It is cold inside and when they forget something, it takes 15 minutes to get it. We've been here for the longest and 4 other people have gotten there food. I'm not surprised because the Chili's in Natchitoches is a disappointment. Natchitoches is a truly amazing town but Chili's is the one disappointment. It's crazy because when no people are working, they're fast. But when they have a lot of people working it takes hours. I would say this is the worst wait but it's not. Horrible experience! We should have known better when we walked in and saw 6 dirty tables, and the restaurant/bar wasn't that busy. We waited for the young lady to clean a table. She wiped everything off of the table onto the floor. At that point, we started to leave, but we didn't. Our waiter was very personable. He took our order and checked on us several times while we waited for our food. I ordered the 3 item special (Mexican food), and I only received two of the items. My husband ordered a dry bacon burger, and it came with lots of mayo (which my husband will never eat). I had completed my meal by the time his food arrived. We arrived at 14:30 and the first thing we noticed is there was not a hostess at the door. The restaurant was only half full and we had to wait to be seated because there was no hostess there to seat us! Once seated we placed our order. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. I ordered a full rack of ribs with the honey chipotle sauce with fries and southwest Mac and cheese and my wife ordered the triple play. We ordered my 2 year old chicken strips with mashed potatoes. We also ordered a appetizer of loaded boneless wings. The appetizer arrived first and it was very good but we were not given any small plates. Since the loaded boneless wings are served on a fajita skillet they stayed almost to hot to eat for a while. My 2 year olds food arrived next and he ate all the mashed potatoes and they were good as well j tastes everything before we give it to him. When the waitress brought out our food she immediately asked what sauce I had asked for. The wrong BBQ sauce was on the ribs and she knew it and apologized and said she would get me some more ribs but I told her it was okay and I would take the ones she brought. Upon tasting the ribs they had no flavor or salt to them at all they were very bland. The Mac and cheese was cold and I asked her to take that back and she did and brought another one. When the waitress brought us refills on drinks there was a thick white coat of grease on the inside of my glass. I stuck my finger in the drink and literally scraped what seemed like crisco off the inside of the glass. I showed my wife and we immediately stopped eating. I paid the check and left a tip on the screen at each table. I let the waitress know about the glass and told her we were leaving. She apologized for our experience. Well the service was pretty good. The appetizer was delicious. We sat and enjoyed our blue moon drafts, sadly they were out of oranges. I was fine with everything until we found a piece of glove in one of our entrees. Then I found plastic in my entree as well. This made me lose my appetite completely. The server was diligent in alerting her manager of the situation, which he handled well. Didn't like the fact that once our server asked other employees where the manager was and they all started yelling out his name. Quite unpleasant at that point. There were hardly any guests at this time so I expected my food to be prepared quickly. While I was waiting I decided to go the restroom which was dingy and smelt like puke. My meal took around 20 minutes to come out which was unacceptable considering the amount of people inside the restaurant. I had the chicken crispers with corn which was on par with others Chili's i have visited.
