I'm updating my review because my experiences have gone from bad to worse. I stopped going there for some time after my last review but my wife and I figured we'd give them another chance the last couple of months. Last night remind us why we stopped going there. Our appetizer was cold, took forever for our server to come back to even take our order and we had to flag other servers down to refill our drinks because our server couldn't be found. A previous newer post that was saying that his drinks were always full and meal was warm must be a paid rating because that's been farthest from the truth fr our experiences. read more

There's not much I enjoy on the menu and it's got that cheesy chain atmosphere. The servers do a good job, I must admit, but I only come here when I'm with other people who really want to go. This review is based on what I ordered the last time I was there. I got the guacamole burger and a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade tasted really good and the guac burger was AMAZING!!! The server was really nice and it was neat how you could pay at the table. My only complaint is I literally only got like 7 steak fries with my burger... my coworker got double the amount I got. It seemed like someone with small hands grabbed as many fries as they could and put it on my plate. read more

We had a really great server just recently. I wish I could remember her name to acknowledge what an exceptional job she did! Our server was so friendly and helpful, knew the products, had great recommendations, good timing, and always had a smile. It seems rare to find this kind of service much anymore. The food is your typical chain restaurant mix, but there is a good variety to choose from. Portions are ample, and the food was served hot. Ordered the Tableside Guacamole as an appetizer. My server was Jake, and he did an exceptional job preparing and presenting. Jake is what made the meal stand out as exemplary. Drinks were always filled, and he made sure the service was excellent. I went to this Chili's and I ordered my items. It took 30 minutes after our order, still was not served with soup or drinks. After went to front desk and requested for soup, we received soup without silverware or paper napkins. Went to front desk again to collect those myself. The fajitas were just warm and not hot when served. The sides we ordered was mixed up, when asked to replace with the correct sides, still was not served with the right side. Half of my order was missing. You get home on a Friday night with takeout, and you hope to just eat and relax. Then you get home and realize that many of the things that you paid for are not in your bag. This is absolutely unacceptable. We used to love this place. Lately, there is no server to greet you. The servers are too busy to even look up to see who needs to be seated. We stood there waiting to be seated for at least 10 mins while the rest of the staff are just going about their business. I pulled into Chili's lot at 12:30 to get an order to go, knowing I had to be at work at 1pm. I work in the same mall. All I wanted was soup and garlic bread. This is the most disorganized and screwed up place! There was no wait staff greeting, hostess station empty. I grab a menu while I waited but it said "dine in only." They have some sort of "Chilis To Go VIP Program" so I'm thinking they've got this down pat, right? Wrong... a guy asks me if I need help, and hands me a menu and walks away. Another wait person approaches me and says, "I'll get someone to take your order and walks away. Two people come in after me, get seated, get waited on and I'm standing there like a whore waiting for Baptism! Finally I shout out to this chick behind the bar to ask if I can order soup to go. I was late for work and that kind of chaos irks my nerves. I will not be back, and if they have a manager he/she should be embarrassed cause going there is like participating in a leaderless exercise. Hate to think about what's going down in that kitchen. I absolutely hate coming to Chili's. Every time I go there I always get food poisoning and spend the next 24 hours throwing up. The food is sub par and I've even had a meal come out that was pretty cold. The only thing I like from there is their Queso chips. I wish I could give zero stars. This place is terrible. When you have a nasty experience it ruins everything. First of all my pick up time was 5:20, and I didn't get my food until 5:45. It wasn't busy but they seemed to have a full staff fooling around in the kitchen from what I could hear. But the worst of it was my salsa. I got home and we started eating it until we found a soggy old chip in it. They seem to have all their chips pre-packed. So there should be no way a chip could fall in. Unless they are recycling their salsa from the dine in tables. Which seems to be how this location would operate. I'm disgusted and done with this chilis for good. I've had some very nice visits to Chili's. Food was good and hot and seasoned well. My visit this Saturday afternoon however wasn't up to standard. It started with the water. We put a straw in our glasses and encountered floaters in the water. I asked the server whether the water had lemon squeezed into it (yeah, that much junk), and was told no. She actually said that it's probably just ice chips. REALLY! Just sitting while waiting for lunch gave me the opportunity to look around. Wish I hadn't. Everything was in a state from just dirty through filthy. The dirty: table, menus, windows, window sills. The filthy: those tableside check-out machines. I could see a few of them and they appeared to never have been cleaned. I understand that all manner of folks use them for not just paying, but games with ketchup-on-fingers as well. Which to me seems all the more reason to sanitize them more often. There are at least 2 places that I always expect to be clean, a medical facility and a restaurant. It just scares me to think that if the customer facing areas are not kept clean, I shudder to think what the areas that we don't see are like. If a restaurant can't afford to, or take the care to clean, maybe it's time to move on. read more

I rarely give 1 star ratings but last nights experience warrants this review. Saturday nights at any establishment in the RT 59 corridor is expected to be busy. We were quoted 20 minutes but didn't sit till about 30 minutes in. (No big deal, in my opinion). We get seated and didn't get approached by our server till about 10 min in, she didn't even take our drink order then, she said she would be right with us. Mind you, the table across from us gets approached first (and they sat down after us). 5 min pass and I finally get up to the hostess stand and tell her that we have been waiting for almost 15 minutes, the host apologizes and gets our drink order. Our server then comes up and takes our food order. We get chips and guacamole pretty quick and then it goes downhill from there...we waited for about 45 min to get our food. Yes, I get it, it's Saturday night but 45 min for a burger? The table next to us waited almost an hour to get their food, the table behind us complained of their food being cold and not ordered the way it was supposed to be so it for comped. My food was lukewarm and lacked some taste. Not sure what was going on behind the scenes, but I felt sorry for our server because it seemed she had the entire bar area which was about 10 tables, and you can tell she was overwhelmed. Until management gets their act together, I'll be skipping this place. read more

I have been here 3 times in the past 3 years and evrey time came out with a worse experience than my previous visit. The food is always served cold and I have tried all kinds of food with my family and also from colleagues at work here - burgers, fries, tacos, soups, salads. Every single item is served cold or without any flavor. Every time I go there, I will convince myself that the food might be better now, but nope, it is never. The management has to do something. Our recent visit here made my son sick eating pulled pork sandwich. I had shrimp tacos - soft tacos were so dry in the corners and I had to tear them and trash them, shrimp had no flavor and I my stomach hurt all night. Waste of money and time. Don't ever go there unless you heard that the management changed. Sucks. read more

My boyfriend and I walked in with his best friend for a late night meal this past Saturday. There was no one in the front so we waited for a few minutes until a waitress came and sat us down. We had yr four month old, in her car seat, so she sat us in a booth. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. Our drinks came rather quickly. No straws.... Okay. My boyfriend's friend had the yelp app which guaranteed he'd get ffree chips and salsa if he checked in. When those were brought out she took our order. My boyfriend got the taco pizza, and his friend and i split the 2 for $20. We both got the 6 oz steak, his medium rare mine medium well, and half an order of the fries. The food arrived in about ten maybe fifteen minutes. The pizza was... well a taco pizza. but my boyfriend said it was good. Our plates had mashed potatoes, broccoli and garlic bread. Because i got my meat medium well it was a bit dry. Over all it was good, my daughter enjoyed the mashed potatoes. Halfway through our meal our waitress refilled the guys' drinks. Shortly after i finished mine but it sat empty for another ten minutes... Awesome..... When she did realize it was empty she said she'd bring another out but that took another five minutes while she cleaned a table and brought another order out. There were other employees, my guess busboys, who were just walking around not helping the Two waitresses clean anything. It wasn't very busy but having worked in a restaurant i know how hectic it can be to have tables close to closing and having to clean up as well. So i didn't really mind too much. Our bill came and it was a little over $50. Not too bad, but still a bit pricey considering what we ordered. I might be back with other people but not as a first choice for a date night. read more

I honestly love Chili's food. This location has had such bad service to the point where I was just tired of complaining and gave up and started going to the one in Oswego that renewed our hope in Chilis. The food at this location is almost always cold. We continued to have an issue with rare burgers, including the kids meal burgers. We kept having issues with cold fries. I even had a waitress tell me that I couldn't get soup with my meal if I was going to give it to my daughter because only the person who ordered the meal was supposed to eat the soup. My daughter was 5 at the time and loves soup. She was trying to make me pay extra for a cup of soup. I did complain to managers and I even got a gift card and kept giving it a try but the service was just too bad. I hate complaining to managers because I don't want to come off as someone who is trying to get free food. So I just gave up on this location. read more

This Chili's was a lifesaver. I had a project to work on with a co-worker, so we left the library for something to eat. Chili's had Wi-Fi so we started working on our laptop computer. When the laptop when running out of power, I asked our server, if there was an outlet available. She moved us to another table that had an outlet nearby. I wish I could give less than one star. Stopped by for quick lunch on Father's Day Sunday. Has to wait for food for about 40min, waitress didn't even bother to apologize... And restaurant wasn't even busy, it was past lunch hour... When food finally arrived, one of the orders wasn't right( wrong side) Again no apologies from waitress, she just said she will get it. Every single time I order from this location my order is wrong. I kid you not, every single time!!! I don't get it! One time a manager was standing right there when I opened up my to go box and it was wrong. He didn't say anything to either me or the server helping me he just walked away. I used to love Chili's but not anymore. The last 2 times have been lower quality but Chili's has always been a favorite so for my birthday it was the obvious choice. Unfortunately. The specialty drink I ordered tasted like water from the first sip. The glass was filled to the rim with ice so perhaps the liquor, ect was all in the sticky overflow napkin mess I was handed. My steak was undercooked & my daughters food cold. We did not bother to stay for desert as planned. The waiter was sub-par during service & charged us incorrectly for our meals. As my husband paid I went to the bathroom but found it, along with the back of the restaurant, unclean. It did have a surface clean to it which reminded me of how the kids "clean" their rooms. Given the caked-on gunk in the floors I doubt it had been cleaned in days. Or weeks. I literally felt like to vomit. We immediately left. We will NOT be back! read more

My family and I dined at the Naperville Chili's this evening and experienced one problem after another. We called ahead for seating and were told that it was not necessary because there be no wait. I had them put us on the list nevertheless to insure that we would be seated promptly as we were heading to a movie after dinner. When we arrived there was nobody waiting for a table but they still made us wait and seated 3 parties that came in after us. It then took a long time for a server to wait on us and when she did bring the appetizers one of them was wrong. We had the manager, Ryan, come over and he agreed to swap the appetizer for a dessert. That was fine with us as we just shared the one appetizer and didn't have time to wait for them to make it right. After that it still took another 10-15 minutes to get our orders. Of course one of the orders was incorrect and at that point I just told them to keep it. The manager offered to make me something to go but I didn't have time to wait so I called in my order on the way home from the movie. I should have known better to check my order before I left as when I got home and opened it, it was wrong! They gave me chicken instead of shrimp fajitas and the tortillas were rock hard and dry. Terrible service all around! I will be contacting the district manager tomorrow to hopefully deal with the situation properly. read more

SLOOOOW! Waitress ignored us, for the first 15 minutes. When we ordered she seemed very confused. It seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu. the order was wrong when it finally came out 45 minutes later. Fortunately the error we in our favor as my wife's entrée was larger than she had ordered. The manager who brought our food out said that he would correct he bill to ensure that we weren't charged for the mistake. We Asked for an extra plate to share one of the meals, the plate never showed up; however she was there immediately to clear my plate? As I took my last bite and as I set my fork down she snatched the plate away. Oh and don't expect to have any drinks refilled ever, ever, ever. I do recall our waitress stopping by the birthday party table next to ours a few times to check on them. These check-ins at the birthday party table stick out in my mind because she shoved my chair in every time she squeezed her way over to the far side of their table. I guess we were in the way. I have to assume that the waitress was inflicted with a bad case of diarrhea that kept her busy for the duration of our visit. Regarding the food: it was fine, not exceptionally good or bad. The Oswego IL Rt-34 location is far superior to the Naperville IL Rt-59 location. I am consistently a 20% tipper for reasonably good service, but this was so bad that I just left the difference to the next dollar and felt that maybe that was still too much. This review is more one star for a horrible waitress than a bad place to eat, but why risk it, just go somewhere else. read more

Wow! 5 Stars for Chilis in Naperville! You guys need to calm down. These people are doing an fantastic job at what they are doing. Take a step back and put yourself in their foot steps. Clearly the place is under staff and all them are busting their asses to get what people need. Ive been there a lot over the past couple of weeks and it just keeps getting better. It starts when I walk in and see that they are busy and I expected to wait a while. The host was very polite about it all and I wait for 20 minutes top for a table of 5 of us. We sat down and I could tell who our server was and clearly knew they were going to be busy. Overall the service was spectacular. The staff was helpful in everyday just trying to assist customers and each other. I absolutely recommend this place and people should stop giving them such a hard time. Take a step and put yourself in their shoes. Don't have something up your ass and think you're privilege to everything cause honestly you're not and these people are just trying to do their job and think that they are giving you shitty service and they are actually doing an fantastic job. I'm going there tonight with my family and honestly can't wait. NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE AMAZING! GOOD JOB CHILIS! read more
