It took him 15 minutes to take our drink order and another 15 minutes to bring SOME of them. He forgot others and never brought them. After a 45-minute wait a passing food deliverer could tell that our group was ready to leave, and kindly took our order and filled our missing drink orders. We received our food in a reasonable time afterwards, but the waiter's follow-up simply did not happen. Just a joke. As for the food...five people agreed that it was bland and missing elements of the dish. Missing sides, missing dressing, etc. If you own and/or manage this restaurant, it's time to catch up on what your staff is doing. Or rather, what they are not doing. We won't be back and we'll pass this feedback along.

While the menu does not explicitly mark items as gluten-free, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and we discovered that a great variety of happy hour options can easily be made gluten-free. I kicked things off with the Roja sangria before moving on to the frozen trio. Although the Paloma was not freezing properly at the time, the bartender was wonderfully accommodating and expertly crafted a custom margarita using those delicious Paloma flavors instead. My trio featured the coconut agave margarita, a Paloma made with the classic margarita base in guava passionfruit, and a spicy mango margarita. For food, we started by splitting the dip trio, paired with chips that are safely made in a dedicated fryer. We also ordered tacos on corn tortillas, sampling both the chicken pastor and the traditional carnitas, and every single bite of the food was delicious. Although they do not carry any gluten-free desserts, the server offered the birthday girl one of her choosing. The only reason for the 4 instead of the 5 is bacause they took the steak option off of the menu recently and for good, it sounds like. Steak has always been my favorite protein for tacos and bowls, so I am very disappointed. Otherwise.....their food is always GREAT!!! Fresh ingredients, and the build-your-own on the bowls and nachos is the bomb!!! Tried the barbacoa for the first time since steak was gone, and it was very good!! Juicy and tender, with just enough flavor to enhance the bowl but not overtake it. LOVE the patio, having a beer, chips/guac and watching Lombard go by. Beats Chipotle by a MILE, and is one of our favorite spots to frequent in Lombard. read more
