    Salsa bar

I had a wonderful time visiting here with my mom a few weeks ago. We happened to be driving through and stopped in for an early dinner and I'm so glad we did. My mom is typically not a fan of guac but gave theirs a try and fell in love with it instantly. The whole restaurant is a vibe, with beautiful murals all over the walls with butterflies. The day we were there, the ac had stopped working, and we felt so bad for the employees who were clearly feeling the heat in the kitchen. They kept apologizing to everyone for the heat, and you couldn't help but be struck how nice they were, even when sweating, and still working and cooking. The fajitas they made and fried ice cream were some of the best I've ever had, and I'll definitely be back for more.....I'm hoping they fixed the ac quickly!

The space is warm, welcoming, and very clean, with plenty of room to dine comfortably. There's a steady flow of customers both for dine-in and carryout, which is always a good sign. I tried the cauliflower tacos and the chorizo--both were flavorful and delicious. The salsa is fresh and served warm, and I really appreciated the salsa/taco sauce bar. Every sauce was tasty without being overly spicy, and the bar itself is well maintained--never messy. Overall, a fantastic spot for great tacos in a pleasant environment.

I decided to get the signature torta and fried ice cream on this past visit. The signature torta is a good size especially when you get it with the meal. The bread was soft but not soggy. Generous amount of meat inside. The fried ice cream was not too sweet, you eat the ice cream with that bread underneath. The fried ice cream itself has a nice texture. It doesn't melt right away like regular ice cream.

Best Al Pastor tacos in the Chicago Area. Have tried them at multiple locations and they're consistently delicious regardless of which location i visit.

Steak Tacos and steak burritos were excellent. Fast service. Open late. Eclectic Korean tacos were surprisingly tasty.

Chicken Tamales $4 tasty but dry with thick corn meal, used salsa bar to remedy

3rd visit each time service is less delightful; tasty chai tea is only $1 but it is also maybe 6-8 oz; salsa bar is nice feature so you can turn the heat up to suit your palate

Great food! Great prices and clean establishment! We stopped by around 8 pm on a Thursday and it was empty, which should not be the case! The food is amazing quality! And the free chips and salsa is a great touch. Dare I say their burrito bowl is better than chipotle! Highly recommend!!

Delicious food, great service! I ordered three tacos (chicken, steak and Nashville hot chicken) and all of them were great.

This is the 3rd Taco Maya location I've been to and I'm here for it! The food tastes the same at every location and it DOES NOT disappoint. I had my usual shrimp and signature taco, while my daughter enjoyed her steak. Literally everything tasted the same which is great quality control on the owners part. I would definitely not call this an authentic joint, but it's not a chipotle either. Their tacos are different and in a great way. I can't seem to venture out to the other tacos, though I've had friends who've had the pork belly and several other and they are equally as good. You get what you pay for. They are not small tacos and their produce tastes really fresh. And as same with the other taco mayas, it is clean and have really great service. Whenever I've walked into one, I'm always greeted nicely by the workers and even noticed that the workers make a concerted effort to say goodbye to people leaving. My only complaint is that their menu is so large that it's hard to see in their screen, wish they had some paper menus. Otherwise would definitely recommend and will keep coming back.

Messy tacos. This is supposed to be 3 steak tacos. $17 for just these three to be thrown in a box like dog food
    Alixx C.

This is what $17 gets you. 3 "filet mignon" tacos which when I asked for steak, I knew they'd be hire priced but did you see how they slapped these tiny tacos in a bag? Been wanting to try this place. The tacos had ok flavor but $17 for three tacos with nothing else ?? Seriously and the presentation ? Never again. Look at how that one taco is completely upside down with the few pieces of meat all in the box. Yup. Great looks like dog food they way they were thrown in there

1st time here. Got the lunch special 3 tacos for 9.99. Comes with chips and warm tomato based salsa of you dine in. The salsa was ok. The chips were tasty, they have some type of seasoning on them that's interesting. The special comes with rice and beans and they were standard. As for the tacos they were nicely prepared. Overall it was ok. Will try different tacos and update.

Best service ever!! Food was delicious as well. I was being a picky customer due to diet restrictions and they were nice enough to fix my dish to my liking and would not accept my pay. I am definitely coming back and the ambiance was very cozy.

I've been there several dozen times since I discovered them - always in the morning, and have never used the drive-through: I dislike drive-throughs, and prefer the human interaction inside, although I *do* eat in the car, listening to the news on my way to dialysis. I've never had a "bad", or "less than Great!" experience there. The staff is wonderful, friendly, chipper (needed at 8:00 AM when I visit before the Clinic!), and in a good mood. I hope the G&G Management could give these folks an award - they honestly CARE about Customer Service, and how they represent the Brand. Kudos! Now, the food - I think I've had everything on the Morning Menu. I have NO IDEA what they serve later in the day. Someday I'll stop to find out. The Morning Menu is somewhat limited. But everything is GOOD. Really good! My favorite by far is the Bacon & Egg Burrito - nice, crunchy bacon, flavorful, and HOT (temperature! Essential on a 4* Chicago morning). The Chorizo is also quite good... except I wish the sausage was shredded, versus a link of it lying there. Me being me, I wish the potatoes weren't in the burrito, but oh, well. Separate Hash Browns give me the varied texture I crave. I don't eat inside, but the dining area is clean and well-policed (it oughtta be, at 8AM!), as I stop to "fix-up" my burritos with onions and cilantro on my way out to the car. I gave nothing bad to say! The overall experience is top-notch! But, I can't review without an obligatory Gripe - not about this specific restaurant, but about G&G Corporate: Why can't you folks offer the PERFECT breakfast burrito? Steak, Egg, Cheese, Fried Onions? The Restaurant down at Union Station, years ago, used to offer this; I used to get almost one a day! Nowadays, lacking that, I need to stop at McD's across the street (itself running like a well-oiled machine!) to get my beef jollies. The Jack down the road can't HOPE to compete with you guys!! If you menu'd this, I'd stop far more often than twice a week. But, "stop I do!", and I have such a pleasant experience, every time. Again, G&G Naperville truly deserves an AWARD for doing EVERYTHING RIGHT. At 65 and cranky with this Graceless Gangster Interweb Age we live in, I am *very* hard to impress. I'm impressed. Thanks!

When I brought this to their attention and requested a refund, the situation only got worse. Instead of processing the refund, I was charged again for the tacos. This was incredibly disappointing and inconvenient. As a new parent with a newborn, I don't have the time or flexibility to keep returning to fix the same issue. I expected better customer service and a simple resolution, but that was not the case. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location and suggest others proceed with caution.

It was around 11am on a random Sunday and about half full, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Right away, the service stood out. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. For drinks, I ordered a regular coffee and my significant other got the "Vitamin C" smoothie. The coffee comes in a surprisingly large mug and is refillable, which is a nice bonus. Because of that, I skipped the café de olla, but honestly I'd recommend trying it if you're not planning on refills. The smoothie was great--smooth, refreshing, and only mildly sweet. For food, we ordered the green chilaquiles, chicken enchiladas with red sauce, and the churro pancakes. The food did take about 30-45 minutes to come out, but everything arrived fresh. The chilaquiles were served with black beans, cilantro lime rice, and two eggs, topped with onions, sour cream, and cheese. The beans had a slight grilled flavor but were a bit mild overall. The rice, on the other hand, was light, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned with cilantro--definitely a highlight. The chilaquiles themselves were flavorful with just a slight kick from the salsa; I just wish they had a bit more onion for extra texture. The chicken enchiladas were excellent. Honestly the standout savory dish. Everything about them was well-balanced and cooked perfectly. Now the real star, the churro pancakes. These were amazing. You get a stack of four pancakes topped with a pecan sauce and served with two churros on the side. The pancakes are definitely on the sweeter side, but in the best way possible. The churros themselves were fantastic, honestly better than Xurro Factory in my opinion. Overall, this place really impressed me. The vibe is immaculate, blending Hispanic culture with a modern twist, and the food and service back it up. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and would be a great spot to take family, friends, and even a date.
