I placed an order via curbside carry-out. The gal that delivered the food to our car was very friendly and efficient. Our wait time was minimal. Without doubt though, the food was not good. The ribs (full rack) were dry and had a very unpleasant flavor....not to mention we were only given one souffle cup of sauce with the order. Really bad service. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday and it was not busy at all, we got a seat as soon as we came in, and waited for TWENTY MINUTES- no one came to wait our table at all. As a college student I frequent this Chili's! I only do carry out and never dine in. The website is very easy to use and as a rewards member, I often cash in on free desserts and other great deals! However they're not the most timely and I've had a few instances of waiting up to 15 minutes for my food to be ready even after the time given to me. But for the most part , especially when I choose the carry out option, they're on time! I will say though sometimes the food is hit or miss. I always order the same thing so I notice when it's not quite right. I've had a few instances of my food being cold or soggy. But for the price I'm usually pretty satisfied! read more

We walked in there, only saw 2 tables being used, 3 employees standing at the bar, and we were told it would be a 15 minute wait. After about 20 minutes of waiting, another couple walked in and they were told it would be 5 minutes. About 5 minutes later, us and the other couple walked out. Horrible service. Our family orders take out and eats at this restaurant at least once a week. We ordered take out and living 20 minutes away we were bummed when we realized that our dessert was missing & our order was wrong. We also ordered steak and mashed potatoes and the mashed potatoes were so runny they looked awful and we didn't eat them. I called and spoke with the manager named Rocky, and she was obviously really busy and didn't seem to care much. I guess it's corporate policy to put their mashed potatoes in the same container but you guys might save a little money by simply putting them in a different container because I'm sure if anyone received the food we had tonight would NOT be happy and would spend their money elsewhere. Honestly, it's insulting when you just have issues when one manager is working. I also called in for a simple modification for our online order one manager had no problem doing this but Rocky the manager that seems annoyed and just shouldn't be in customer service at all! If you want the best casual dining experience there is, it is worth the drive to Chili's on McGalliard Road! There is very little turnover at this restaurant which really says something about the management. I recently had the opportunity to speak with the general manger of this fine restaurant and I can tell she has a genuine love and for her staff and a passion for pleasing her customers. I placed an order for some take out for my coworker and I. I picked it up on time and drove 5 min away to my job. When we went to eat it noticed the food was ice cold. I placed the order a few hours early and put the pickup time later in the day and it felt like it had sat out of the heat lamps during that whole time. I contacted them the same day to try to resolve the issue and it took over a week to get a response. And this is where my experience just became sad. I was emailing back and forth with the Area Director for several days and this guy is a joke! Here is his actual response to being told the food I received was ice cold, "I was interested in just reviewing your visits, how situations were handled and what we could do to help improve your experience." Are you kidding me, you want to discuss with me how you could improve my experience........ So I responded back with the following email: "You want to review my visit. You could just read the complaint I sent in now like 2-3 weeks ago. How the situation was handled... Well so far it hasn't been resolved by anyone because you want to discuss it. What is there to discuss. I picked my food up and it was cold! And what can you do to make my experience better? Well you could resolve the situation by making this right and compensate me for the food I was unable to eat." AND HE JUST NEVER RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL AFTER BEING SENT THAT! SO JUST KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU ORDER FOOD FROM YOUR LOCAL MUNCIE CHILIS AND THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH IT THEY WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT! I CERTAINLY WILL NEVER BE EATING HERE AND WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE TO A PLACE THAT STAND BEHIND THEIR FOOD! An update to my previous experience. After messaging the "REGIONAL MANAGER" multiple times I finally received a response and the again was rude and claimed that he had sent a gift certificate when he never did! Then continuing to be rude he told me he would send them certified mail. They actually arrived today and this insane restaurant trip continues. He sent me 5 $5 gift certificates for a total of $25 to replace an order of nearly $45. I again am at a loss for how this supposed regional manager is acting. This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere in my life. I have never taken the time to go online and write a review for any business but in this case I feel like I must make others aware of how this local chilis operates. When they make a mistake they will not make it right. Then they will be incredibly rude and disrespect you when you ask for it to be made right! We routinely have some issue every time we eat at this location. We came in at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was not that busy with lots of open tables but we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. There were 2 parties ahead of us, they were both seated quickly. We waited another 10 minutes in an empty waiting area, people started coming in and 4 different parties were seated before us, including a party of 10! The hostess spent more time in the the kitchen than at the front door. We received a text when we first arrived so our name was definitely on the list. After questioning an employee why we hadn't been seated and other people that came in 20 minutes after us had been seated we were met with a blank stare and no verbal response. I ordered the 10 oz sirloin with loaded mashed potato's and steamed broccoli.waitress was good even thought it was busy.my family ordered the chicken tenders when they came out after waiting hour and twenty five minutes they were colder than when the chicken was alive. Over-priced food in a bland, franchise atmosphere--that's our Chili's. I say "our" because I have only eaten at this one location, but there are so many other alternatives in Muncie, that you really should not spend as much as you'll have to here. I paid almost $15 for a piece of salmon the size of a SMALL deck of cards. I know, I know--why am I getting fish in a Tex-Mex restaurant? Truth be told, what they serve isn't my favorite type of food in Muncie to start with. For "Mexican" food here we have either bland national brand restaurants or the inconsistent food quality and service of several local joints. Also, my first choice would have been the Baby-Back Ribs, but an order of them was priced at $21! You just can't charge that much for barbecue in Muncie, IN! My waitress very helpfully warned me against getting the half-order--$14!--because, she said, it wouldn't be enough food for me. My salmon was cooked very well, for what was there, but it was served with broccoli that tasted like grass and onion rings that were obviously frozen and then over-cooked in a deep fat fryer. Contrary to my seafood choice, my wife ordered one of the big salads for which Chili's is well-known. She said it tasted OK, but within 30 minutes after finishing, she was quite ill, and she is NOT susceptible to that kind of reaction. If you're craving "Mexican" food, go somewhere other than Muncie. I don't know if there are better places in Anderson, or even in North Indy--but seriously, consider the drive. If you're going out for a meal in Muncie, get off MacGalliard Avenue; it's the home of all the national franchises and most of them serve food that is insultingly bland. Finally, if you want a salad, spend $5.00 for ingredients and make it at home--you'll be grateful later. read more

Me and my family love Chilis and usually get it once every 2 weeks. We usually order it to go and its very convenient doing so online. We always have excellent service and the food is always prepared the same every time. They always take the time to open every container so you know what you got before you get all the way home and realize something was wrong. read more

Chili's - American Near Me - Muncie, Indiana

Chili's is a special restaurant for us, it was where we had our first date 16 years ago. We don't have a Chili's near us, so we stop any time we're close. This particular restaurant has burned us the past few visits. This location has rude servers and a manager who's seems annoyed by your request to speak with her and too busy to take 2 minutes to hear you out. The server was the topic of all 3 of her tables because of her lack of customer service and her struggle to serve her customers. I don't feel sorry for someone who chose this profession, but can't make eye contact or speak up. I'll gladly tip you very well, but when you ignore me and don't respond when asked a question, when you slam your order- taking notebook around like a toddler in a tantrum and throw our food onto our table. I have nothing for you. Then, when you over charge someone, but hide from them instead of owning up to a mistake, you're not going to get much from me as far as a tip. Best of luck girl, you've got a lot to learn in the customer service field. Maybe the car wash is hiring? Avoid this restaurant, don't wait for subpar service and cold food. read more

Went here a few months ago with a friend. First, it took a little too long to get the food out considering how busy it was. That is forgivable though. If the food is great, I will wait a little while. However, what we got was some terrible food. While we are eating, we just talked about how underwhelming the taste of the food was. I got the chicken crispers and they really cut down on the amount the give out it seemed like. Also, it was over breaded. At the end, I just felt full, not like I had a good tasting meal. Went in for a late dinner and to catch the tigers game. It's chilies so I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Things go wrong but it's how they handled it that I really appreciated. The app was taking a while and instead of making a big deal or ignoring the fact that it still wasn't on my table, the manager politely brought out the egg rolls and took them off the bill.
