However, I did not expect to spend so much money on drinks that had so little alcohol in them that I felt I needed to order a direct shot on the side of them to add to said drink to have any point at all. And I had just come from a very young man's funeral so I needed a strong drink. Went in today to eat lunch today to be greeted by the manager upon walking in the door who informed us that the restaurant was on a 10-15 minute wait so they could clean tables and sections. Following her telling us that, 2 servers walked up and stood there talking to her. Upon seeing that, we decided that waiting for tables to magically clean themselves was not in our interest. As a server myself, a restaurant should only go on a wait if the kitchen is overwhelmed or sections are full. Do better, get better servers, something. Chilis is good but the Muncie location always ruins it. read more

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced - and with speaking to a manager! I ordered at approximately 5:23 PM, and waited an hour outside for carry out, only to be told that I needed to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to re-make my order after the manager canceled my order, and I should have called and let them know that I was here. Apparently there's a difference between Curbside, and Carryout - with curbside you enter the make and model of your vehicle, which shouldn't matter anyways as about a week ago, a server was bouncing between cars to make sure everyone was taken care of - which is what should happen regardless of how you order. Apparently my order was ready by 5:54 - good to know! Still waiting, I called at 6:21 and asked to speak to a manager, telling her I would wait longer and to not cancel my order, and again at 6:28, and was belittled over the phone and yelled at saying she thought I wanted to "cancel" my order and that it was already in the trash. I hope to never return - considering I patron this establishment at least two times per month. As a small business owner, I won't accept this level of customer service. The customer parked next to me "Kevin", called on my behalf to speak with said manager at 6:08, and again after 6:30 since his meal was overdone from sitting in the warmers too long, and as he had to wait awhile too. That's when Muncie Police pulled up because of "belligerent customers" in the parking lot. I've never been belligerent in my life! The manager blamed "it" on being busy, to Kevin. Being busy does not explain rudeness. Kevin offered to pay for my meal - she said for him to do that, since she wasn't going to deal with me. Upon returning from speaking with the manager inside, Officer Qualls said, "Don't shoot the messenger", that she would not be making my or my employee's orders, and she was going to refund Kevin's order to his card. To which he called again to inform the manager that this was poor service, that he wanted to set an example for how you take care of customers, regardless of what is happening in the world. I drove away, because apparently at 5'5", I looked threatening to the manager, and didn't want a police record over poor customer service, and still tipped the curbside server $20 for having to dealing with that "manager" on a day-to-day basis. Corporate - you should evaluate the "leaders" of your establishment to ensure quality customer service, and perhaps training! I've had better experiences at Taco Bell. read more

The service was slow. We are patient, and we understand a lack of staff, so we didn't worry too much about the speed. The food was average. The biggest problem I had with the meal was the "upgraded" street corn. It's an up charge for a sprinkle of seasoning and a dash of cheese you need bifocals to see. The pictures in the menu were VERY misleading. Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers and Brisket Burger were the stars of the evening. The Cookie Skillet was "crafted by the hands of God(s)." Went to chili's had to wait to be seated, ask for specific area to sit, placed in a total different area. Questioned hostess, she said they had to change are seat due to waitress being late. Got menus but that was the end of our visit, the people seated directly came in after us got service immediately, never got a chance to talk to our server as she walked by saying I will be with you shortly and never came back to our table... being gracious to the rest of those eating I simply left the restaurant. We had family visiting for Christmas, so we decided to try one more time. Chilis was our choice. It was such a pleasant surprise that I can't wait to return. We went here for lunch. It was pretty crowded. They had several tables with +10 people and the wait staff paid a lot more attention to the larger tables. We ordered the lunch portions, which the price point is very reasonable. I had the Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas, with a side of fries. The entree was very tasty. One nice attribute is that they have a payment device on the table. A customer can pay the bill at the table and either have the receipt printed out or emailed. Chili is an established American restaurant with many great dishes. Definitely a place to try. read more

I've been going to Chili's for years and ordered curb side pick up before. Tonight, I was driving so I couldn't place my order online. I called and was first told I would have to order online, so I said ok, I'll order another night then as I'm driving. The lady said oh ok, I'll write it down and just call when you get here and we'll bring it out. Great! A few minutes later I get a call from Rocky, the manager. She explains they can't take phone orders and asks if I have my phone? Yes! (Duh, I'm talking to you aren't I?) I again explain that I'm driving and can't order online right now. While I understand these are crazy times and they don't want to handle cash or cards, every other restaurant in town will take an order over the phone and allow you to pay when you arrive. By far one of the most poorly ran chain restaurants I have ever been to. There is no communication between employees, sometimes there is a hostess sometimes not. There may or may not be a bartender and not 1 employee had anything nice to say about the management and general manager. The kitchen is extremely messy during high volume times , tortilla chips everywhere and dirty dishes stacked everywhere. It is extremely chaotic. I had the chicken and waffles and they were just ok. The frozen waffles were were undercooked and the chicken was extremely chewy. The servers there are exceptionally great especially considering the environment they work in. I will not return to this Chili's or any other for that matter because of this dirty mis managed chain and the only reason I gave them a 3 was because of the kindness of the servers paying their bills by working in a world of chaos read more
