This place is usually great but lately they been wrong. They took forever to bring my drinks. They brought my food after an hour of being seated. The food was cold and they didn't even bring me what I wanted. They brought my order after and it was totally messed up. Super grosss and cold. I love Tracy chillis better Worst time ever. First they took forever to seat us. Then they took forever to get us drinks. And then our appetizers were cold. Then they brought everyone's food out in my table but when they brought mine it was someone else's order. Then when I told them they took another 30-40 mins to bring out what I asked for. Then when I got it. The cheese was not melted all the way and ranch was on only two out the 4 burgers and the bread was cold and it seemed like the rushed to bring it out to me. Then we needed refills and no one came to ask us if we wanted something to drink with the food that made us thirsty. When I was going to pay they tried to charge me for everything in full price no discount or nothing for everything that happened and they tried to charge me for the food they brought out the first time that wasn't mine. If I could give zero stars, I would! So my good friend Jason has a son with special needs. He called into chilis in Modesto, ca and spoke with the manager Samantha. He explained to Samantha that his son was a special needs child and they would be coming into the restaurant for dinner. Jason wanted to make sure that Jayden's food was ready for him when he got there and then everyone else could wait the regular time it takes to be seated and order there meals. For some odd reason, she refused to honor Jason's request. I mean what's the worst that could happen? They don't show up and she loses a $6 kids plate? Big deal. Jason then went into the restaurant to complain to the general manager. He also was of no help to Jason and his son, and didn't offer any sort of solution or ideas for next time. I guess you can't expect to much from a couple high school drop outs. I will NEVER, EVER GO TO CHILIS again. Oh and the food sucks and the waitresses are fat!! read more

We recently dined at Chili's and ordered the Ancho Salmon and Santa Fe Chicken Salad. Both dishes were okay, but nothing to write home about. The flavors were decent, but we were hoping for something a bit more exciting. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service we received. We have specific dietary restrictions, and our waitress went above and beyond to ensure that our meals were safe for us. She was incredibly attentive, double-checking ingredients, and even offered additional options from the chef that weren't on the menu, which was a nice touch. Overall, Chili's is a solid choice for a casual meal and drink. The food might not have blown us away, but the service definitely made up for it. Pretty awful service.. and the food was not how it used to be. I got a fajita with steak and it was chared and chewy. Chilis used to be one of my favorite places to go and this experience is changing my mind. We went for my friends birthday and the server was usually no where to be found, no refills on our drinks and some of our food took WAY longer to come out than others,, So much that the manager offered to comp it off the bill. Even after this all happened the server didn't make any attempt to save herself and be better, I guess she just figured "well fuck it they're probably already pissed" and gave up on us. "I want my money back, money back..." sung to the tune of "I want my Baby-Back Ribs." I had been to a Chili's near the bay area and was excited to try the one in Modesto. What a sad experience it turned out to be. The service was horrible (slow, unreliable, and various servers). My wife's Cajun chicken was a grilled chicken breast that someone had spilled cheap Cajun pepper on, giving it a salty, stingy taste. I've ended up here a couple more times (friends and family stuff) and have not had a good experience. The interior leaves me feeling crowded. I had the 2 for $25 and it was plenty of food. The chips and salsa kept coming and I was basically full by the time the entree arrived. The service wasn't the best the server messed up a few things on the receipt and it took some time to figure out. The wait on a sunday for a group of 10+ will be from 30-40 minutes. My husband and I were looking for a low key spot to have dinner. A co-worker of his suggested the dinner for 2 for $25. We stopped in around 7:30 pm, it was relatively empty so we sat at the bar. There was only one country fried steak given whereas I've been to other breakfast places and they give 2. Toast was over toasted. My wife ordered the corned beef and she didn't like it. In fact, she had to use a napkin to remove it From her mouth. Not sure why she got that since she's never ordered corned beef in a restaurant so for her order- 2 stars. I did try it and definitely something I wouldn't have eaten or ordered myself. Overall, good experience. Menu can be overwhelming with so many choices. Would I come back? For sure but not anytime soon
