After several years, my wife and I decided to visit our local Chili's restaurant and both of us were very pleasantly surprised. We met our first Waverly who did a stellar job this evening taking care of us. She was friendly as well as helpful regarding our menu choices. I tried the Smash Burger and my wife had the steak. This is my favorite Chilis location in the Columbia area by far! We came on a Tuesday afternoon and were seated right away. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere was lively. The waitstaff are attentive and nice - making sure our drinks were always filled. We got the triple dipper with Nashville hot mozzarella (SO good), chipotle honey mozzarella, and big mouth bites. The appetizer is around $17, a bit pricey for mozzarella sticks and mini sliders but it's typical for eating out. We also got the chipotle honey chicken crispers combo with mac and cheese and fries. The sides were alright but the tenders were delicious. The chipotle honey sauce is perfectly sweet. I'd come back every week if not for the outrageous calorie count. read more

For 4:15pm, this place was PACKED on Saturday! We waited 20 minutes for a table, but we didn't mind! They had a nice bench out front. Our waiter was great! Super friendly & gave good recommendations! We ended up getting the Triple Dipper & the Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers Combo to split between the two of us. The Big Mouth Bites were delicious, Southwestern Eggrolls were fun, & the Fried Mozzarella had the BEST cheese-pull! Honestly, all the food was worth the hype I had been seeing on Tiktok. We both add the nachos and Coke. The best part of the meal was the soda. The nachos were well overcooked actually burnt on the bottom and not much flavor pretty bland. The service was not so great. First of all, I must say that the service was awesome! I ordered the ribeye surf and turf. Mashed potatoes were okay, broccoli was very good and steak was good. Shrimp was overcooked and chewy with this godawful sauce on. I think it was supposed to be garlic but it tasted VERY salty and a little spicy (?) Got a regular margarita which was good. Hubby and I were in Columbia for a Gamecocks basketball game. Hotel snack food was cutting it, so we decided to head to Chili's . I joined the waitlist through Yelp and it said 45-60 mins. Geesh! That's a long wait time for Chili's, but it was worth the wait. The app keeps you updated with your place in line and luckily for us, a few people left the waitlist . Upon arrival, we were seated and the nice waiter came over quickly to get our drink and food orders. The place was busy and somewhat chaotic, but the staff handled it very well. Our food came out hot and rather fast judging by the crowd. Our waiter was very attentive to our table and brought out refills without us asking. That's a big plus for me. Next time we are in Columbia, we will drive that extra 15mins to dine again at this Chili's. Keep up the great job management and staff! read more

2 weeks ago I placed a delivery order. A side item and a dip was missing, so I called the restaurant. The manager said I could come to the restaurant to pick them up or he could refund the items to my card. Since downtown Lexington is complete insanity, I opted for the refund. Still no refund. Extra crappy since I spent over $60. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the burgers were pretty good. All in all everything is overpriced and not worth it at all. Our experience with the service at this location was stellar. We were seated immediately, which doesn't typically happen on a Friday night. Our waiter was PHENOMENAL. We unfortunately did not catch his name (dark brown hair, under 21). He was extremely personable, timely, and so much fun. He had us laughing every time he came back to check on us. He really made our experience here a great one. As for our food, it was pretty standard for a chain restaurant. To drink I ordered the infamous Presidente margarita. It was well mixed and is definitely worth the price. We shared the Dip Trio as an appetizer and selected the white queso, salsa, and guacamole. The guac was a little too thick, but everything else about this app was perfect for three people. For my entre I ordered the Santa Fe Salad. It was the perfect amount for the entre and had a great ratio of toppings. If you're down for some spice the Sante Fe sauce that comes on the side is the perfect amount of heat for a simple salad. My friend ordered a chicken quesadilla. In my opinion it's pretty hard to mess up a quesadilla and as you can see from the photo, what she received was pretty standard. For dessert we decided to dive into the Molten Chocolate Cake. If you're a chocolate person this dish will not let you down. Needless to say the plate was cleared seconds after the photo was taken. I'm pleased to say that this location was relatively clean in comparison to what some of the other reviews say. We even had a woman in the elevator of our hotel say she couldn't believe we came here because she "saw a roach crawl across the bar" during her visit. We can say that we did not witness anything disgusting or dirty in any way, so maybe this spot has cleaned up their act a little (pun intended). read more

It also came with a soft drink or iced tea. I had the salad as well. Chilis is Chilis. No matter which location I go to, I'm pretty sure what to expect. What sets this Chilis apart is their customer service- or lack thereof. This was the second time that I've been "helped" by the server, Grace. Both times being served by her were similar experiences. She didn't come over to our table until we'd been sitting there a while, wasn't attentive, and seemed liked she just didn't know what she was doing. Is it laziness? Is it lack of experience? I'm not sure, but whatever it is, it's not working. With a restaurant where the food can be sought out so many places, the staff is what makes it great. It's disappointing that this Chilis seems fine with mediocrity. read more
