My husband and I visited this Chilis on 6/10/17, the abosulute worst dining experience ever. It took us 25 mins. to get our salad, server kept saying salad wasn't ready but by the time we received them the greens and dressing were warm; ordered med rare sirloin , it was so well done I couldn't eat i, my husband ordered med well ribeye it was bloody. Our order was 30 minutes late, which is fine if the food was hot when we got it, but it wasn't. When we got home, we realized we were missing part of our order. If I could give zero stars i would. First off the hostess was absolutely rude and careless, it took nearly 10 mins to seat us. Came in on a monday night at 7:30 PM with the restaurant being over half empty - over an hour we had to wait for our food and when it finally came out it was cold! My husband and I went out to eat at Chili's Grill & Bar on today. Five stars for our waiter his name was Corneal he was best. We did not have to wait on anything refills, taking our order or asking us how is everything. Keep up the good work Mr Corneal. To top it off the manager came to our table towards the end and asked if everything went well. Ms Maudrineaux keep up the good work and well. Chili's on Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey will never have my business again. I am done. Our family has gone there several times over the last past months. We always have to wait for a hostess. A couple months ago, they couldn't get the order correct and the food was cold. We ordered Chicken and Waffles for a child with all the sauce on the side. It was all together and the sauce was too spicy. We told the server, when she brought the replacement food, it was missing chicken pieces. Then charged us for both plates, and said that is the way they handle it, even though the first plate was not touched and she took it back AND had her notes about sauce on the side. I also had to ask for a fresh salsa bowl, because the one they gave us looked like it had been eaten out of. I was so grossed out. It had small pieces of left over soft pieces of chips and was too thick. The new bowl was fresh, not thick and no soft chip pieces. About three weeks ago, the server was slow, but the manager was walking around and talking to people at the tables. We noticed that he passed us up and a few others. Well, he ONLY spoke to people of color, not whites, Asians or Hispanics that were there. He noticed me watching him, and he finally came over to my table and asked "You need anything?" and all I could say was "No". He just walked away, and didn't ask how our food or anything was. Then continued to have conversations with other customers of color. AND the waitress got pissed when my mother-in-law wanted to pay in cash. She finally took the cash, but took over 15 minutes (until my mother-in-law complained) to finally bring her change back. Um, no, you aren't getting a $40 tip for a $60 bill, especially for shitty behavior. Last week we went and were stuck on the bar side. We and a few customers had to fight off the flies by the window booths. Still couldn't get a refill. Then there was a horrible smell, like sewer. This was the opposite side of the restrooms. One customer complained so much that the manager walked around and looked at her stupid and said he didn't smell anything. The smell was so strong, we all ended up leaving. I have talked to people that have had problems. I was also told that the manager will hire only people of color. I noticed there are not any other races working there. Obviously, the owners of this Establishment condone this as I have seen comments on here, have talked to people about it and saw it for myself. read more

Our waitress was really sweet and was about the only good thing about this place. The food took over an hour to get to us and a family behind us. However a family of 6 sat next to us and somehow got their food in less than 20 minutes. Went their for lunch today. I ordered the 6 oz. Classic Sirloin* with Grilled Avocado. Which is suppose to come with: Seasoned & topped with spicy citrus-chile sauce, grilled avocado slices, garlic roasted tomatoes, cilantro. Served with fresco salad. First off there were no roasted tomatoes, and second the avocado was not grilled, just sliced and cold. The waitress was good, I had no objections with her, when I asked her about the tomatoes, she went to check with the kitchen. She came back and said there were no tomatoes ready! I mean, how long does it take to roast tomatoes!! They should have been ready before the steak! I was quite disappointed. There should have been some type of compensation like offering me another side or anything. What is bad about places like this is that the food is brought out by someone other than your waitress, and they have no idea if you requested not to have something served that normally comes with the meal. Ordered a Southern burger. The bun was dry, the meat was dry, and most shocking of all the lettuce in the burger was also dry. The onion rings were over done and tasted bitter. What made me gives this place one star is that the Coke I ordered was watered down and the water from the ice tasted very heavy with chlorine. As you known chlorine kills microbe organisms, including the natural organisms inside you stomach that help you digest food. Chlorine is also a known carcinogen. I think the water down coke made me feel sick. BTW the burger looked nothing like the one in the picture advertised. read more

I always enjoy the food here. Sometimes service is a little slow but I have never left unhappy . The old timer with bacon is my favorite.

Each time I visit Chili's in Harvey, La it's really great. The waitstaff is wonderfull and always have a smile. My kids and I watch The New Orleans Saints Games there and they love it. I always look for a place that my kids can enjoy and Chili's is one of them. The food is always hot and taste great. They also have a great choice of foods for the kids. The prices is also great. Those are not my leftovers, that is literally what I received with my order. Very disappointing. I am at work and cannot take this joke back to the restaurant. This is a complaint solely based on the bartender named Mika I went here with a friend last night, around 9 o'clock. We stood at the front door for a long time and no one ever came. Maybe there was a host on duty, maybe there wasn't, but many servers saw us standing there, so they could've seated us themselves or told us to have a seat anywhere or SOMETHING. Don't look at customers standing at the front door and just leave them there. Whatever, we obviously got tired of standing, so we just took a seat at the bar. There were two other people sitting at the bar which meant the bartender now had 4 people total to take care of. It took her about 7 minutes to come greet us and take our drink orders. For anyone that thinks 7 minutes isn't a long time, of course in most day to day life situations it isn't. But I'm sure everyone can agree that when you're sitting at a restaurant hungry and waiting to be served, time stretches on much longer. Especially when you're watching the person that's supposed to be serving you behind that bar cleaning up and moving around crates of glasses. Apparently she was trying to get a head start on her closing duties and that was way more important than the guests that she definitely saw sitting at the bar. When she finally came over to us, she didn't introduce herself, but she took our drink orders. My friend got a regular Arnold Palmer, I got a strawberry AP. The drinks came out quickly; mine tasted like a strawberry lemonade rather than a strawberry Arnold Palmer, but I wasn't that bothered by that. She takes our app orders. We told her that was all we wanted for now and still wanted to look at the menu for entrees. Literally the only thing that she did right during this entire visit was when my friend asked for his loaded baked potato soup to be fresh, she ran to the kitchen and got him a bowl from the new batch that they had just put out. Someone else ran my food to me and she never came check on us to ask if we were ok or to refill drinks. I actually started eating the ice. I also noticed the man sitting across the bar from us had received his food, but didn't have silverware to eat with! That should've been one of the first things she laid down in front of every guest. As I said earlier, apparently washing her dishes and restocking her fridge was so important that she couldn't even periodically do a quick scan of the bar to make sure every guest was ok. I guest that man didn't want to yell across the bar to get her attention, but my friend didn't mind, so he called her and directed her attention to the man. He was grateful to us. As I said, we told her that we were going to order more food. That never happened. She never looked up to see that I had received my appetizer. She never refilled either of our drinks. She never came back at all. The only guest that received any attention was the one that was sitting nearest her little sink washing station because she was faced that way the entire time. In the end, I told my friend we would find more food somewhere else because I was still hungry, but I refused to tolerate that service. When she dropped the checks, she told my friend that she charged him for the bowl of soup with an entree rather than a regular bowl of soup so it would be cheaper. Why she did that, I have no idea. Maybe that was a final push to save her tip. Sorry, didn't work. I usually tip around 40-50%. Servers make $2 or $3 bucks an hour; they need and deserve it. Mika only deserved the 15% that I gave her. WAIT! Thats not it. After reading this entire review, let me tell you what REALLY pissed me off. After my friend had to call her over once again to get our checks, she said "thats all you're getting? Aw man, I was waiting on you guys to order more!" Are you kidding me Mika?? You must be joking. You knew we wanted more food, you were supposedly waiting on us to order more food, but HOW COULD WE ORDER MORE FOOD IF YOU NEVER CAME BACK?!?! read more

I have been to a number of Chili's restaurants and this one far exceeds the worst place ever. I moved almost around the corner from them in June. I have been there on many occasions because the food is great and cheap for a fast meal, or so i thought. I figured at times ok they're having a bad day with the service. Last night was the worst. The hostess sat us down without so much as a hi and left to go back to play on her cell phone. The waitress took 20 mins to come to the table for the drink order. When serving our food she put a very hot plate of food in front of my grandson who is only 4 and is special needs. She never came back to see if everything was ok. With a special needs child i was there for more than an hour feeding him, 1 hour!!! I had trouble getting her attention until the people 2 tables behind me were complaining also. After letting her know I was paying cash it took me 30 mins to get out of there. The place was not busy. It was mostly empty. When she came back with my change is incorrect. Im not sure that this young girl or the hostess had any training at all. And I dont think phones are required as a hostess!!! i worked as a waitress years ago and so I give a place many chances. I watch the bs before I tip. Im pretty sure I wont be back. read more

I'm very upset to Chilis. My wife and I went to Chilis(1741 Manhattan Blvd, Harvey, Louisiana) today for lunch. Not many people there. We waited for twenty minutes and didn't get any service. The waitress passed our table many times, we waived to her and other waitresses, but they pretended they didn't notice us. We were ignored over and over. We felt very embarrassed. We have to leave. Chili's is a restaurant that serves a variety of food. Chili's serves things such as sandwiches, burgers, fajita's, ribs and steaks, pasta, and many other foods. I decided to go to Chili's with a friend to evaluate their food, service, environment, and my overall experience. I discovered that the food at Chili's is big portioned, priced well, and delicious. Their servers are very nice and polite, but busy. Chili's environment was nice as well. Chili's is a good restaurant overall, that satisfied my desires. Before going to Chili's, I wanted the food to be just as it was, big portioned, savory, and inexpensive. I wanted the server to pamper me a little, but not too much so I could enjoy my meal and free time. I didn't care how the lighting was, nor if there was music playing. What I thought Chili's was going to be like, and what I expected it to be like were pretty much the same. This is because I expected the food to be averagely priced. I know before I went to Chili's that I wanted a steak. Therefore, I expected my meal to be twelve dollars. I expected there to be music, but it being low enough that people could barely hear it. I expected the restaurant to be a little crowded and noisy. I expected to be greeted at the door as well. I also expected for the servers to be polite and give good customer service because that's how they're supposed to present themselves. Because what I wanted and what I expected were pretty much the same, it leads me to believe that the restaurant is well-managed. As soon as I walked in the restaurant, my friend and I were greeted by a hostess who stood in front of a counter. She asked for one of our name's, and told us that she would be right with us. After about three minutes, the hostess walked us to a tall booth. It was the perfect location and seat for my friend I. The seats were comfortable and it was an area where it wasn't too noisy. At the table there was an iPad. An iPad is actually on every table in the restaurant, which I think is cool. Anyone can use the iPad that's at their table to play games, pay for their meal, go online, and do many more other things. We used the iPad to pay for our meals, and we only looked to see what we could do on it. I really liked that there was an iPad on the table because not many restaurants have it. It was cool because it could be convenient if someone needs to go online they could, and if someone has wild children the iPad can entertain them. That day at Chili's, I ordered a six ounce steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli plate. About ten minutes after we ordered our food, it arrived at our table. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was that there was a big portion of food on my plate. I was surprised because it was only eleven dollars, which is very close to the average twelve dollar amount people pay for a plate of food like I had at a restaurant similar to Chili's. My plate of food was huge. In spite of my plate having a lot of food, my friend had less food on his plate compared to mine. He had ordered fajitas, which were sizzling hot when they came to the table, and his order came up to fifteen dollars. I guess his food was higher priced because it's more luxurious. He wasted some of his food because he still had fajita toppings left. However, he claims that his food was good and he was full. I on the other hand, cleared my plate of everything, was very full, and enjoyed every bit of the food that I had. The person who served us was very nice and polite. He did take some time to check-up on us, but I understand because it was a busy day. We didn't need anything though. The atmosphere of Chili's was typical, because there were people talking but it wasn't too loud. The lighting of the restaurant was casual, and I believe that there were no music playing. Since the server was nice and polite, my friend told me to decide how much he should tip the server. People who work at restaurants work hard, so I told him that the server should get at least five dollars. So he tipped the server five dollars. I was pleased with this restaurant and enjoyed myself. I will be more than happy to eat at Chili's more often, and think that if anyone hasn't eaten at this restaurant they should. The food is awesome, big portioned, and well-priced. The servers are nice and polite, and the atmosphere is perfect. Everything went well for me, so I'm sure that everything will go well for anyone else who plans on going out to eat at Chili's. I first want to acknowledge the hard working young girl at Togo. I went in last Friday and Saturday and she was there working hard by herself and it was very busy , this young lady was answering the phone, taking orders and bagging food . She was observing , apologetic to those complaining about things out of her hands. The managers need to do better with listening , one lady was standing there for about 30 minutes waiting for a manager to put some code in to check the lady total out. The young lady name was very long I believe it was Ashante or something in that nature . Her personality was very bright and she kept smiling and making sure everyone's order was getting complete. She didn't seem a bit frustrated , I'm only leaving a review because I was very taken back at how well she held up under pressure . I wish I could've left her more then a 20$ tip there were other young ladies cursing and talking inappropriate you'll think they had no home training how they were talking about going have sex when leaving and etc. they need to be aware that we the people can hear them. Every time I try to give this place the benefit of the doubt, they prove me wrong. It is usually too crowded (not their fault) so I try to cut them some slack of why the food and waitresses/waiters take too long. However, I went with a few girlfriends and it was NOT busy and there were only 4 of us. it took 20 minutes just to ask for our orders and then an extra 15 minutes to receive it. Then when it was time for refills she was nowhere to be found. About time we got our refills we were already done with the food. My friend asked for a to go box 3 separate times to 3 separate workers and got it about 15 to 20 minutes later. We had to use the kiosk to pay since she took too long to come back. As we were waiting, another worker told our waitress she was going to seat some customers at another table for her to clean so they can be seated. She very loudly said "Good luck with that b/c I'm not cleaning anything. I ain't got time for that'. A lot of customers heard her. So rude and embarrassing. The food was good.
