First time visiting since Covid. We used to like it here as they maintained a clean and professional restaurant but ugh, things have gone downhill. Our server was friendly but not a good waiter. He took a long time to take our order and only came back once, refilled half the glasses at the table and walked away. Food runner took our drinks to the wrong table. The burger was overcooked but okay. Fries were soggy. Place looks rundown. The bathroom was disgusting. Outside has damage. Staff not wearing masks and mask policy not enforced. Only getting 1 star because of the service and the queso dip. This is what boyfriend got on his plate. I don't know who thought it was okay to cook rice on a skillet but that smell was the most awful thing that really got served to be eaten. I'm not certain as to why I hoped giving this restaurant several chances to be better, it would be. This is the last time we will dine there. The chips were cold and broken into small pieces and when I asked the bartender/server if she could please refill them she said I can't guarantee that they will be fresh. My order came without the street corn and I sat without silverware for over 7 minutes after asking the host and another server. We also waited for to-go boxes for over 10 minutes. Whoever the to-go QA was for that evening was obviously paying no attention... the bag chit was completely unmarked, so I doubt they were checking any of the orders at all. Yesterday my dad and I ate at chili's. They have a system now where they text you when it's your turn to be seated and have you wait outside or in your car. If you have the Yelp app, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room and you can see your place in line and how many people are in front of you and the number of people in their party. It's a very good system in place and it's more convenient then getting a pager that lights up also less contact between one another. Overall the restaurant was still fairly crowded, but they maintained social distancing by separating each party by one table. I really enjoyed the new system, and hope it stays once the pandemic ends. read more

So I was sorting through my emails and I stumbled across a coupon for a free kids meal with the purchase of a kids meal!!! I thought "Heck yeah! Im Don't have to cook tonight!!! " So we hopped in the car and headed towards white oak Rd. Upon arrival it was somewhat busy but the gentleman at the door seated us right away. My daughter and I took our seats and browsed over our menu. Our server was not to far behind. She came and gave a great big smile and asked for our drink orders. My daughter had a fruit punch, I had a water with lemon and a paradise Margarita (I think that was the name) -the drink menu does not have prices listed by the way After receiving our drinks we then order. My daughter ordered a personal pizza and fries from the kids menu, I had the chicken enchiladas with black beans and rice with a side of green tamitillo (think I spelled that wrong ) and boy was it delicious! The enchiladas were seasoned to perfection and topped with fresh made Pico. The black beans awesome, they seamed to melt in your mouth, and the rice was seasoned just right! (I am super picky about my rice). All in all, dinner was perfect and so was my tasty paradise Margarita! So as we ate until our pants squeezed our stomachs, the server brought us our check. Looks like Chili's is trying to cheapen things, like a lot of places, unfortunately. It wasn't uncommon for us to eat here at least once a week, but not anymore. We went to the restaurant a few weeks ago and ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. First of all, they've reduced the portion size on the pasta so it's no longer a big bowl full. Our guest was even kind of surprised at the portion size since it was dinner. Second, they've started using a shredded chicken "mix" on the quesadillas. It was just a bunch of mush on a quesadilla. There used to be chicken chunks, cheese, bacon, ranch, etc. Now it looks like they threw everything in a blender and spooned some between two shells. Definitely won't be going back for the quesadillas and definitely not as frequently. They used to have the BEST fried pickle chips w/garlic when they first introduced them. After several months, we started noticing variations. Sometimes they wouldn't have any taste, just fried cucumbers. Now they're just like plain old fried dill pickles. Another thing they've ruined. This used to be a must-have for us. It seems their tortilla chips have suffered the same. They always used to be fried good and crisp. Quality was always high. Often when you get them now, some are greasy and soft, some are crispy. The quality varies a great deal. You have about a 50/50 chance of getting good chips. read more

I eat regularly at all of the Chili's restaurants in the Triangle, and this is the only one I give a low rating. Worst of all is the service. The staff bungles orders and acts put out when you ask them to bring the correct item, or ask why something you ordered was never delivered to the table. Once the ribs were cold and tasted like they were left over from the lunch rush. Ditto for the fries. We aren't demanding people and don't think we should get our posteriors kissed - just what we pay for. Try the Chili's on Glenwood in Raleigh instead. It's awesome. read more

We came here for my mom's birthday and the service from our waitress Lena was great. She was super helpful and nice! The food was good; what you would expect from a chili's. However, it wasn't very busy on this Wednesday night and the hostess did a very poor job. It took 15 minutes to be sat, when there were sections fully open- she blamed being understaffed on a margarita special (which wasn't even advertised, but ok). We were finally seated after the hostess disappeared for a good 10 minutes and a line had formed and was asking if it was 'seat yourself'. While we were eating we saw multiple people were waiting at the hostess stand to be seated and the hostess was standing at the booth right behind the hostess stand with her leg perched up on the bottom of their table like captain morgan just having a leisurely conversation. As we were leaving one guest waiting even asked, 'have you all seen the hostess?' to which i responded by pointing to her casually talking to some guests. I have worked at several restaurants throughout college, both as a hostess and server. Had the Nachos and they weren't like any I have had before. The chips were large, like cut tortillas, with a spicy dusting like Doritos might have. About 12 were laid on the plate - not a pile like most Nachos. They were then spread within enchilada sauce, sprinkled with an odd "beef" product, and then sprinkled with cheese. I think it was then run through the microwave. The menu said " black beans" but I didn't see or taste any. Served with a small dollop of sour cream, some jalapeños, and 99 cents for a dollop of guac. Chili's is one of our favorite restaurants & I've always enjoy the food. That said, this involves a very specific experience. At this location, my boyfriend decided to order a coke with his meal. In that coke, after drinking about 1/3 of it, he found a large black screw at the bottom. Working in the service industry, I understand, "stuff" happens. I did not cause a scene, nor did I want to. I assumed the screw fell out of the ice bin behind the bar. Our server apologized, but then joked "I've been waiting to tell someone to 'screw off' all day!" HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE time for a joke. She then took the glass to the GM, who came by our table and apologized, and said there was no way it came from the ice maker and that he'd "look into it." Because of my service experience, I know you use ice buckets to carry ice from the ice machine to the ice bin behind the bar. The screw more than likely came from behind the bar. "Clean" screw, dirty screw--we'll never know--still gross. The only thing they comped (took off the bill) was the coke. I was astonished that more didn't get taken care of, especially with all the surveys that go out with every meal. I NEVER go out looking for a free meal by complaining, but we found a SCREW in a drink. COME ON! I've seen someone eat their entire meal, then complain to a manager saying "it just wasn't as good as I thought it'd be." and get a meal comped. Yes, that happened at Chili's, too. My husband and I went here for dinner last night, and the service was great. Our waitress was super busy, but she still took the time to make sure we were taken care of, and her personality was lovely. However, the food was "meh." Their inspection grade is currently a 93, which almost turned us away, but we decided to stay. Neither of us got sick, but we could tell the quality of the food was a little off. We got the 2 for $22 deal with fried pickles as the appetizer, and while they tasted okay, there was tons of browish-grayish oil in the bottom of the basket and dripping off the pickles that were closer to the bottom. Very off-putting. For entrées, I got the Cajun chicken pasta, and my husband got chicken fajitas. My dish was yummy for the most part, but hubby's fajitas missed the mark a bit. His peppers and onions were unseasoned and incredibly greasy, and his pico de gallo was more than a few days old by the looks and taste of it. He said the chicken was delicious, though. I called complained about this they told me to go back to atleast get the meals for my kids and the rest would be refunded. Well my husband did as such. When it came down to a refund to our credit card he looked at the reciept told her that it was the wrong card number and name and he wanted it corrected she said she couldn't she had to send it to her "Treasury Department". I ordered the beef enchiladas. This was my first time trying them and boy did they have "kick". Overall they were good and you get plenty of rice and beans along with them. Our server was so rude to us from the beginning not only by his attitude but by slamming napkins down and bringing multiple drinks so he wouldn't have to see us again. He also didn't give me silverware till ten minutes after i got my food.
