Frankly the burgers and service here are way better than most independently owned local restaurants. Very attentive servers. Big portions. And reasonable prices. One of the few restaurants that seems to care about their customers' experience. Corp must be doing something right. Also very clean bathrooms which is a must. We ate at Chili's last week, adult family of five and after a long hiatus, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. This is the best place for fresh fajitas and burgers. Took granddaughters there for lunch , haven't been there since takeout during the pandemic...not. Very crowed.. waitress very nice , attentive.. waited quite a while for burgers 2... and chicken tenders with small Mac and cheese.. I asked for a sparkling water all they have is club soda on tap.. took a tap water.. had the worse bleach or chemical taste... my burger was well done, but crispy and flavorless.. the bacon was obviously cooked in the fryer... and the bun was stale ... it just crumbles.. hard to eat so I used a fork and knife but the meat was crisp,the French fries were left from something and covered with pepper .. and not hot considered they took forever to come.. having refills on cheap lemonade is not a selling point when the food isn't prepared properly prepared and stale.. Like the chicken was spoiled! I didn't reorder anything that day and left. We decided to give it a second chance and omg even worst. Order a chicken sandwich with fries. My fries were ROCK HARD!!! Stale!!! Who knows how long they had them sitting in the back kitchen. Probably days old. I couldn't believe it. Chicken sandwich was just ok. But my daughter's meal was a total fiasco! She had Cajun Chicken pasta with a Caesar salad and raspberry tea. Her salad cheddar cheese which is wrong and her tomato's tasted like bacon. We ordered a simple chicken sandwich and a salad online at 6:15pm and received confirmation at 6:17pm stating that the order would be ready for pick up at 6:44pm. It's now 7:25pm and after being told at 6:55pm the orders just about done, we're finally told that the order was overlooked and is now being made. If I could give 0 stars I would. We went there as a family hoping for a nice dinner. The hostess was extremely rude and unhelpful. We asked for a booth she said we only have one waiter so there's only a table available in the bar side. The one thing that made me really mad was that we had our baby in the car seat and when I asked for a booth she said there's four of you and where are you going to put that pointing at the car seat. Decided to visit today because of the Monday $5 boneless chicken and $3 domestic draft specials. First off, was told politely the special only applies when the game is on. Nowhere on their literature (on table) or email I received was this specified. Ok, then I looked over their new menu and saw they revamped the fajitas offering. They use to have pork and prime rib choices, not anymore. Well I tried their beef and chicken combo and was disappointed. Flavor was lacking and the beef was a little tough. It all started with an empty waiting area but no Chilis to seat us for five minutes. I saw an employee walk by but they didn't seat us immediately despite there not being a line. When we were finally seated, the waiter took our drink orders and didn't return for at least ten minutes until he came to take our food orders. We ordered the classic nachos with chicken, although the chicken seemed to be missing. I didn't receive a notification about a chicken shortage around here so I don't understand why that was missing. Although the waiter excused the error, the full price of the chicken nachos was still on our bill at the end of the night. In my opinion, the waiter should be better trained in what's available on the menu. My youngest daughter wanted the caramel molten cake that she has enjoyed in the past, but when the waiter left to put our order in, it took another 15 minutes for him to come back and tell us it wasn't available anymore. This whole time my daughter was excited while we assumed her dessert was being made, but it was just a delay in disappointment. I never would have thought a Chili's location would get a one star from me, I have had such good experiences in other cities, and yet Danbury did not provide. I do not think we will ever return to this location... who knows if Chili's still has our loyalty. read more
