This review is going to be a little different, so please read to the end. I arrived soon after they opened, and was told that the kitchen wasn't open quite yet, but that the cook was supposed to be in soon. Fine. I was in no particular hurry. I had a drink. Time passed...and passed...etc. Finally, just before I was going to pay for my drinks and leave, apparently the cook arrived, and the very nice lady behind the bar apologetically came to take my order. At this point, it would take even more time to go somewhere else so I ordered what the menu calls a Philly Cheese Steak, with onion rings. The food comes out and its unlike any other "Philly Cheese Steak" I've ever had before. Two things stood out. First, it was served not on a hoagie roll like every other cheesesteak in the world, but on a kaiser roll, so that when you pick it up, of course, everything falls out onto the plate. The second thing was the complete lack of taste. I did not know that meat, cheese, onions, and peppers could be so bland. Now, you might be asking, "After that, how can you give them 4 stars?". Here's why. When the very nice lady behind the bar came to ask how it was, I was honest...it was terrible. There was a man sitting at the bar, who I assume was the owner. She spoke to him and he came over and could not have been nicer. I don't know what issues he's dealing with in the kitchen, but he didn't seem to be surprised. He agreed with what I was saying, apologized profusely, and here's the kicker...he didn't charge me for anything. Not the food, not the drinks, nothing. When I protested and tried to pay for the drinks I would have had anyway, he refused. So...4 stars. I'm going to assume that they're going through a rough patch in the kitchen, but trying hard to fix things, and more than willing to make it right. I hope it works out for them. read more

Great little spot in town for pub favorites and a perfect pint of Guinness. We enjoy the service the best. Attentive and friendly! The food is good. Seems their kitchen crisis is over, thankfully. Full menu is available once again. read more

Food was meh, place is too dark for regular dining and the bar is loud. The interior is nice and the service is normal.

Loved the atmosphere at O'Connor's. Friendly staff and the fish and chips were great. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered a dozen clams I only got 10. I spoke to the waitress she went back into the kitchen. The waitress came back to the table with an uncomfortable look on her face to explain that the chef told her the bags of clams came in 10 and he was not going to open another bag of clams for four clams for us. Then I decided to order a dozen wings I was on the menu when the wings came out there was only eight. All I can say at the end of this is "it is a rip off". Update; Call to speak to the manager left me a message with the waitress with phone number. I have yet to hear back from him it has been four weeks. read more

Wow I'll started out with the good. Decent selection of beers period. We attempted to have lunch Halloween 10/31/16 afternoon not very busy perhaps 6 to 8 Patriots most at the bar. We order a Philly cheese steak and a Ruben and 35 minutes later we received a chicken sandwich and a totally burnt Ruben, I should say blackened Ruben. How can anyone plate a sandwich like that is a mystery to me needless to say the (brunette) bartender thought it was OK. We finally complained about the sandwich and they did graciously remove it from our bill. Poor. :-( read more

This is the strangest Irish Pub I've been to... The first time I came here it was under a suggestion of a buddy on a Saturday night to where it was filled with four people and a EDM DJ playing alone in the back. The second it was a bit more crowded with regulars on a Wednesday afternoon, making the crowd scene a bit more relaxing. The bartenders have been fairly knowledgeable however I stick to an easy Guinness while being here. The third time it was completely dead on a Saturday afternoon which has its pros and cons. Honestly this place is a crapshoot to what you're gonna walk into but the drinks aren't to bad and they have a decent selection! read more

bartender added a tip to my closed out tab after i left a cash tip. called to speak with manager and was told that there isn't a manager available. very disappointing as i really like this place in general, but dishonesty and shady practice is a huge turn off. read more

Stopped in for supper and a beer with 2 friends. Very nice atmosphere. Long bar with tables on the side. Decorated like a pub. We each had sandwiches. I had a Corned Beer Reuben that was just ok. My friends said their's were fine. The service was sketchy. And we found the table to be uncomfortable to sit at. The bench against the wall was too high for the table and you tended to slide off. There were low stools on the other side. Anyway, I would say that it's probably best to sit at the bar (good tap list) and try an appetizer. read more

I love dive bars, period. I don't know why this was my first time physically being at O'Connor's after hearing nothing but good things about it, but it definitely fit my quota for "Mike's go-to late night drinking places." I thoroughly enjoyed my night here. Between the super nice bartenders, the solid tap list O'Connor's offered, and the game room that included darts, a pool table, and some arcade games, we definitely had a lot of fun. The crowd was big, but they weren't rowdy or obnoxious. Didn't get a chance to try any food, so that'll be on my list when I come back next. You'll see my face here again. read more

Surprised when I discovered this little piece of the emerald isle in Brookfield. The atmosphere is fantastic. I went here with a group of friends. The crowd was diverse in age from mid 20- mid 50's. Live music was part of the night. Overall a nice place to enjoy a pint. Food is good (bar food variety). Slainte! read more

Just left here mid-day on a Saturday. Came with my enormous family while we had some time to kill before a wedding reception. The staff was very sweet and accommodating!! Good drink prices and great service. I personally didn't eat any food but the potato skins my cousin got looked delicious. Had a guy playing guitar and singing which made for a lovely atmosphere. I understand with COVID that businesses are suffering but so is my paycheck so if I ask for extra sauce why can't I get it and this is not the only restaurant to do this to me recently. Came here for the super bowl and I've been to the Brewster location lots of times and have to say this one definitely trumps that one. I mean it is a lot newer so that makes a big difference. But the space here is utilized better and there is def more of it. Food options were plentiful and I ended up trying the shrimp and cucumber sandwich, minus the bacon. It was great and the side salad served with it was huge. My friend loved her chicken wrap and again a huge portion of fries. Bar was very busy, female hispanic bartender was very rude once asked for water. She seemed too busy to pour my friends and I a glass of water, but when we were ordering shots of jager, and jamison, she was right on it. Once i was ignored about three times and i asked for water for the fourth time, the Hispanic female bartender proceeded to cuss me out and throw me out of the bar. Chef was late. Bartenders were useless. They didnt know what was on tap. Wrong nachos came out. Was charged to add the jalapenos, tomatoes, sour cream we orginally wanted. Spot to go in the colder seasons/rainy weather on weekends. Variety of age groups. Pool & darts for entertainment. The only downfall is the tiny walkway through the bar, considering it's usually very packed on weekends, it usually involves lots of squeezing through people. read more

Won't go back because of the new bouncer. He reeked of weed and forcefully got in my face. Been going here since I could see over the bar and this guy has the nerve to kicks 9 of us out the second we get there because one of my friends lost his wallet and didn't have his id present. The food and service was surprisingly good. We weren't expecting much and got much more than we thought! The attitude of our servers was very positive and they made my son's food right immediately when he didn't like it. Service is so much of eating out, food can be subjective, service is not. The food is straight up pub food from Ireland. Having been to Ireland, I would say that the food here is quite a bit better than many of the pubs I visited in Dublin. Go figure. read more

Great bar that really has a pub decor and the bar food is real good. Love their wings and the Irish stew but my friend had the phili cheese steak and said it was just ok but everything else was very good. They also had a one man band there on Sunday evening who was very entertaining. read more

We went here because it looked like it good good reviews. We thought maybe it was one of those dark horse places, hidden secret with great food.... No such luck. I got buffalo wings and shrimp scampi and my husband got chicken francaise. Wings were soggy. My shrimp were small and not deveined. They tasted soggy and bland - like poor quality frozen shrimp. The sauce was bland and tasted out if a can. The "mixed vegetables" were definitely frozen (the yellow carrots give this one away). The rice was instant pilaf. The francaise was soggy and bland too. That was probably pulled out of a freezer too. Would never go back for food again. My bad for expecting decent food at a bar. All other reviews must solely be based on the alcohol. read more

I love this pub. The food is great. Always consistent. The potato chip nachos are out of this world. Burgers are delicious. Most important is the service. The bartender, Jackie, is the most delightful person I've ever met working in such a public atmosphere. She's always give top service whenever Im there. And always remembers me by name. I can't believe we didn't know this was here! Fresh food, great warm, friendly atmosphere. Loved checking out all the antiques on the walls and flat screen tv for sports fans,. I had the grilled steak sub with mushrooms,onions and cheese served rare with seasoned fries, my husband had a chicken quesadilla with sour cream and salsa, when I ordered a D. Coke the waitress was friendly and upbeat (rather than that tell-tale attitude of assuming if I don't order alcohol I wont tip as well that I get at bars) and who would have thought a little pub would have such a great menu! The food was served quickly, hot and fresh! Made for a great date night! We are headed back Sunday for the kids eat free at 6pm and $9.99 meals. Cons: The signage is small, There is a set of double doors (blocking the view of the great lighting inside) and it almost looks like it's closed from the parking lot. (More for me!)
