Food was meh, place is too dark for regular dining and the bar is loud. The interior is nice and the service is normal.

Loved the atmosphere at O'Connor's. Friendly staff and the fish and chips were great. We'll definitely be back.

Great little Irish bar. Don't let the fact that it's in a plaza scare you off. One of the best bars I've been to.

A few of us were interested in the chicken sandwich special served Rueben style on Texas toast. I asked if I could order it but put it on a brioche bun instead I was told NO. All of the other sandwiches came on a brioche bun so I figured it wasn't a big deal but I really got a hard NO from the server. Another special was fish tacos. It was disappointing in taste, quality, and presentation. It was flat breaded fish filets on mini tortillas with some iceberg lettuce and a bit of pico. We asked for a sauce or hot sauce and were handed a bottle of of Tabasco. The other fish sandwiches were mediocre and definitely not homemade. Even the fries were frozen and not crispy. I guess I expected better for the steep prices.

Decided to have Irish food since that was the menu for the night. My friend had the shepherds pie and it was HORRIBLE. If you could find a carrot you were lucky never mind any of the other veggies. The potatoes were little scoops plopped around the top, no cheese. Bland and horrible. Worse Shepherds Pie ever. I had the corned beef reuben and the corned beef looked like scraps that should have been used on nachos instead of a sandwich. There were some strips of CB with sauerkraut and the swiss made the rest of the sandwich OK. Would go back for the music but would not have food here. Waitresses were not as attentive as they should have been as we had empty glasses of Guiness and needed refills and had to wait along time to get them to swing by. Excuse twice was the Guiness kicked? I can see 1 time, but not 2 in a short time. If you want authentic Irish fare go somewhere else.

Love the corn beef and cabbage inside. Regular nachos were OK, they were missing key elements of nachos. No jalapeños, no salsa, no guac. Pretty lackluster. The wings were good, we had two different types smothered in the sauces. Wings were also very good and the waitress was really nice and accommodating.

Duffy's is an Irish American Pub/Restaurants owned by Christopher Walsh. Being a holiday, Duffy's is offering both their traditional and brunch menu options. The dining room and bar is decorated with strong oak furniture, tables and chairs. The historic backdrop is filled on the walls throughout the restaurant of baseball, football, political heroes and of course, a touch of Irish heritage and American pride. The staff immediately make you feel welcome and right at home with their warm demeanor and bright smiles. My Sister had the Brunch Wrap with a side of Home Fries (Sorry no picture) I had to Slow Cooker Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli and Carrots. They tend to cluster at the end of the bar waiting for someone to walk in to leer at. After you find a seat they continue to stare, as if trying to figure out if you're a college kid, new local or cop. The bar itself is small and set up in such a way that you are forced to sit with you're back to these "regulars". This only adds to the general discomfort of the place. Nothing much to do but get wasted, so, I did just that. The night started to get interesting around 11 when some females actually entered. To my relief the regulars then set there attention on them. More and more people arrived. They all appeared to be from Sarah Lawrence College. The guys looked like girls and the girls like guys. The regulars appeared oblivious to the fact that these females wanted nothing to do with them. Watching a guy with a thick Irish accent buy drinks for an obvious lesbian who couldn't understand a word he said made the visit worth my while. The place turned into an absolute freak show. Irish construction workers and trans-gender college kids dancing the night away. I left around 1 with the bizarro party in full swing. Other remarks: The bartender was an irish guy named Joe. He seemed okay at first but, was very nosey. He continued prying for personal info, and I just didn't trust him for some reason. Then again he may have been happy to see a new face, however, I would have preferred to be left alone.

It is Irish owned and features an assortment of creepy Irish regulars that like to hit on unsuspecting Sarah Lawrence girls (my favorite pick up line is when some guy told my lesbian friend "But, I have a vagina"). This can get overwhelming on a night when there aren't a lot of students around. For a student, it can be a place to get congenially soused, talk, and play darts or pool with their friends on a packed Thursday night or they can feel like they are surrounded by random acquaintances they know in various ways that don't always mix, standing around and hardly able to make small talk because of the loud music. In other words, I find it extremely awkward unless I'm drunk and then ambiance no longer matters. Other remarks: Joe the bartender is well known and I am unsure whether he is a nice barroom psychologist or a manipulative bastard. The bar has begun to ID so there are mostly upperclassmen. The drink of choice is the Bailey's Irish Car Bomb.

We started with a couple of drinks, which were very strong..maybe a little too strong. My sangria didn't taste like sangria at all, and I honestly couldn't tell what was in it. It didn't have any fruit, and I think vodka was added. We ordered the calamari and what was listed as hummus with pita. When it arrived, we noticed the "hummus" was actually spinach and artichoke dip. I had to ask about it since I have an allergy and wanted to make sure a certain ingredient wasn't included. We decided to keep it and I'm glad we did because it was absolutely delicious!! The calamari was just as good, if not better. Both appetizers were fantastic. For our entrée, we ordered the rigatoni to share. There was a bit of confusion, as our waitress (who was also the bartender) thought we wanted it packed to go, when we actually planned to eat it and then take the rest home. She quickly fixed it in the kitchen, so really no harm done. My only guess is that since we had been sitting with appetizers for quite a while, she may have assumed we were finished eating.. I mean it was a while. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very good. However, it was topped with microgreens and cilantro which really threw me off! I've never had a pasta dish garnished with cilantro, especially instead of something more traditional like basil...? It felt like a strange choice and was a bit unappetizing for me. Overall, it was a very... odd... first experience. Would I give it another shot? Yes, but I think I'd wait a bit and hope things become more organized. I have to add it is beautiful inside. They have the cutest lights on the table. Appetizers: 10/10 Drinks: 3/10 Entrée: 5/10
