I got the tamales to start and a mango margarita. I literally felt like an addict. The margie was perfection and those tamales lasted all of 1 minute. Best tamales I HAVE EVER HAD! Then I ordered fish tacos, not a fan. The portion is tiny and to me lacked in flavor. Well the next day I was still obsessing over those tamales, so I ordered to go. But the dinner, oh yeah upgrade and a side of guac. Being a Tx chick I do not like the salsa. The guac was ok large portion but it is $10. The tamales were WOMP WOMP, not the same preperation. Idk, was it cause it was to go? Either way very deflated. Not sure if I am going back. Good luck, I guess its a Hit or Miss.

We had read about a great place in the Greenwood District, but that didn't work out. So we left that area and soon saw Mi Cocina, in the Cherry District, and stopped there. At Mi Cocina, we ordered the Nachos El Carbon with Chicken. We got a generous order. The Nachos were the best I've had! Plenty of cheese and excellent, large pieces of chicken breast. The chicken was so moist; it tasted like it had been brined and then cooked perfectly. So good! It was a popular place; dozens of concert-goers were also eating there. Our waiter was excellent, friendly, and very attentive. It was a lucky night! We teally liked Mi Cocina!

Ordered a 16oz ribeye, Cesar salad, and a cup of chili. The salad came to me before the rolls, which unfortunately the rolls were dense and doughy. Before I finished the salad they brought the chili. No problems so far. A little weird the chili didn't come with the steak. The steak however, was awful. It was well done on the outside of the cut and blue rare on the inside. It was also tough and stringy, like they pulled a frozen steak out of the freezer and tried defrosting it in the microwave before putting it on the grill. I admit when asked by one of the bartenders if everything was ok, I lied and told her it was, because I knew a refire would probably yield the same results. The one star is for Amy, who was a very nice bartender, as we went through all the beers that this restaurant didn't have, otherwise I would have given no stars. Sad.

Again I am reminded why I shy away from franchise restaurants…read more We opted for Chili's the other night for dinner, with my vote being essentially nullified because I really didn't care where we ate. It'd been quite some time since I'd been to a Chili's, largely because the last time was overwhelmingly lackluster, and I'm being generous with that. Cut to the chase.... The Wife had chicken enchiladas, The Kid had a cheese pizza, our son had a bacon cheeseburger, and I had the half rack baby back ribs, original sauce and fries with a cup of chicken enchilada soup. The soup was the high point of the meal, but not by much. But first, the other dishes..... The Kid's pizza was actually pretty good, not tasting like a frozen pizza, which I assumed it would be. Score one for The Kid. Our son's hamburger was, in his words "alright, but nothing special". When I asked if he would pass up a Goldie's or a Ron's for Chili's, he said "no way". So that tells me what I need to know about Chili's burgers. The Wife's enchiladas weren't all that bad, but the chicken was fairly dry, and there just wasn't a lot of flavor going on in there. And finally to my ribs. I do a lot of baby backs at home, so I know the ins and outs. For the money, these were not only subpar in flavor, but a horrible value. A 'half rack' of baby back ribs should be a minimum of 7-8 ribs. An average rack of baby back ribs will have between 14-16 ribs on it. I know because I've counted. So what I got was a '1/4 rack' of ribs and a mediocre serving of dried out luke warm french fries for north of $16. The sauce was pretty good. I'd love to have a bottle. The ribs had little to no flavor, and, unforgiveably, little to no meat. I felt cheated and robbed. I went home and made a ham sandwich. I'm sure there are plenty of people who love franchises, and maybe even Chili's, but I'm not one of them.

My family and I ordered $55 worth of food, two chicken sandwiches, 2 Mac n cheese kids meals (that was not actually a meal and did not include sides nor drinks). The sandwiches were sad and the quality was about the standard of McD's. The kids Mac n cheese were basically kraft mac n cheese with chopped up nuggets on top and a very minimal sprinkle of bacon on top. The whole thing was honestly dissatisfying. The part that bothered me the most was that after paying $55 for this, we didn't even get a sauce to dip our fries in, that was an extra cost. And the lemonade in which we paid over $3 for and was advertised as "freshly squeezed" was most certainly not. Over all, I can say we won't come back here for the food.

There's plenty of sauces to choose from, one comes with the combo & I got the Rooster Sauce - which is maybe in the middle on spice level. Each sauce is labeled on the menu with the heat levels at the location (doesn't show online). I really liked the fries. More of a thin cut, nicely seasoned. The Texas Toast was slightly buttered & has a subtle sweetness to it. Speaking of sweetness, the Rooster Sauce is a sweet & spicy chili pepper sauce & paired well with the tenders. There were a few sauces that caught my eye, like the Alabama White Sauce, Comeback Sauce, even the Habanero Oil. The customer service here was really good. I was greeted & my wait was not long one bit, my food was ready in not even 5 mins. The place was surrounded by TVs. I went around lunchtime & it got pretty busy.

The biggest disappointment was the beer selection. Since this is a brewery, we were really looking forward to trying a variety of their beers and doing a flight, but quite a few beers were sold out.
