So, we stopped at the first Mexican restaurant we came across, which happened to be El Campesino! El Campesino has two locations, one in Canton, Ohio, and another on Lincoln Way in Massillon, Ohio. Since we were driving past the Canton location, we decided to stop in and grab a to-go menu so we could look over the options and order what we wanted. The menu had a huge selection of Mexican favorites, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and plenty of other dishes you would expect to find at a Mexican restaurant. There was certainly no shortage of choices! The employees who helped me place my order and check out were very friendly, and their customer service was great. I always appreciate friendly service, so that was definitely a positive experience. Now, let's talk about the food! My wife and I each ordered one of the combination meals. I went with the Super Rancheros. Overall, most of the enchiladas were pretty good, but there was one that missed the mark. The enchilada filled with ground beef was very bland, as the meat seemed to be missing any real seasoning or flavor. Unfortunately, our order was also missing my wife's quesadilla, which was disappointing. In closing, our experience at El Campesino was just okay. While the customer service was great and the menu offered a wide variety of options, the food itself didn't quite impress us. I've tried Mexican food at other restaurants that packed a lot more flavor into their dishes, and I felt that El Campesino could benefit from adding more seasoning and flavor to its food. If you go during lunch time until 3pm there is a reduced priced Tex Mex Combo menu with the choice of rice or beans. The Tex mex combo options include, but not limited to: tacos, enchiladas, flautas. My pictures show two of the Tex mex options ordered at our table. The one plate shows a Tex Mex 4-item: 2 flautas, 2 soft tacos, with rice and beans. The other plate shown is the pictures is: Tex mex combo 4- item: 4 enchiladas topped with jalapeño cream sauce including rice and beans. My personal favorite is 4 enchiladas: one chicken, one cheese, one beef, and one creamy seafood topped Jalapeño cream sauce. The jalapeño cream sauce is a must try. The sauce does have a jalapeño kick to it and may be spicier at various times. The longhorn colby queso dip is absolutely amazing. I highly highly highly recommend you ask for the queso to be extra hot (temperature wise). Just a tip: just because there is steam coming from the queso at the table doesn't mean it's hot to taste. Test with a chip or fork. The chips are phenomenal especially the saturated seasoned ones. Staff is always friendly and willing to give recommendations. I can say I don't think I've had a server who hasn't liked or been able to recommend a favorite. Panchos Southwestern Grille is a twist on Mexican food. If you are looking for traditional Mexican food, keep in mind Southwestern grill.

This was my first taste of actual authentic Mexican food here... And it did not disappoint! On my first order, I got 2 Al Pastor (pinapple pork) and 2 Canrne Asada (roasted meat) tacos. Getting handmade, fresh tortillas is a rare sight these days, but when you bite into one you can instantly taste the difference. The meat was tender and juicy and they did not skimp on the cilantro, appreciated that immensely. The green and red sauce are a must. I wanted to try some more flavors so after j finished, I ordered a Pollo (chicken), Carnita (Pork), and another Al Pastor since it was so good the last time. Can't stress enough how favorful and savory every bite was. I plan on trying everything on the menu before my stay is finished, so if I'm able, I will edit this post with my experiences.
