After having spent over 2 weeks in Norway and eaten many meals of Norwegian cuisine, I was craving for Asian food and found this eatery with a 5-star review, so I came here to have an early dinner before heading back to my hotel. It is not a restaurant but primarily a take-away eatery, although there are about 8 counter seats facing the street where one could sit down and enjoy the meal. They offer several lunch special options on weekdays between 11am to 2pm at the price of NOK 119, and they also offer several daily menu items for NOK 169 to 189 including a soft drink or sparkling water in bottle. Today's rice plate specials were chicken in oyster sauce with vegetables and cashew nuts, or beef with vegetables in spicy BBQ sauce for NOK 169, or prawns with vegetables in black bean sauce for NOK 189. I wanted the beef but prefer a slight hint of oyster sauce instead of spicy BBQ sauce, and the chef was very accommodating to cook my meal to exactly how I would want it. He even brought out their special chili sauce for me to try, and it really enhanced my meal as I love spicy food. There is a supermarket selling a lot of Asian vegetables and other food items so I highly recommend this friendly and excellent place to anyone who would like a little taste of Asia while in Norway. read more
