My mom also remembered she saw recommendations for this place on a Chinese social media app. We got the mapo tofu, Shanghai braised pork, the Shanghai 2k18 lamb slices, and a serving of glutinous rice balls in fermented wine per person. They refill your communal rice bowl if asked. Everything was delicious, and as 12-year residents of Shanghai we left full and pleased. The server made it seem the rice balls were small, but they came bigger than expected. Might be better to split 1 if it's only 2 people. The night we dined was quite busy, as they continued to have new patrons arrive. I think it helped that we spoke Chinese. I was happy to see folks of all different nationalities eating here!

When a couple of tourists are freezing cold and just need to get some food in their bellies, then they may end up in Jambo. We ended up in Jambo. Pineapple chicken, beef fried noodles, and pan fried shrimp. Nothing was necessarily wrong with any of these, but they sure didn't excite the palate. When the boring food was combined with the dismissive service, it really didn't make us feel like we were having the kind of warm meal we needed. At least they gave us free rice? Small consolation. You may be cold, and it may be late in the day, but keep walking. You're bound to find something better.

As soon as we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful atmosphere. The restaurant has an elegant, inviting ambiance that's perfect for a nice evening out. We ordered the Wagyu fried rice, Wagyu dumplings, black cod, and tiger shrimp. Every dish was exceptional. The flavors were balanced, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and everything was cooked perfectly. What really made the evening special was the service. Our server, Johana was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. She was happy to accommodate our allergies and spice preferences, making modifications to every dish without hesitation. Her attention to detail and genuine care made the dining experience even better. If you're visiting Oslo and looking for high-quality Chinese cuisine with outstanding service, I highly recommend Dinner Restaurant. It was one of our favorite meals in Norway.

The scallops and shrimp dumplings were fantastic, and even from the congee you can sense the light touch from the chef. This is the place if you are looking for refined taste with slightly pricier allowance, since each 62-NOK plate are ever so slightly on the smaller side. We shared six plates for two people and end up at about 60% full. A little upscale - you eat dim sum here with good manners, not a place to be loudly gorging on food like your usual hole-in-the-wall dim sum. One drawback is the restaurant is small and the staff is occupied at full service. We had to cancel our second order since they politely noted it would have taken 30 minutes (you're telling us you don't just microwave frozen pre-made dumplings?), so we left at 60% full. Lesson for next time. Still, I care less about service and rate overwhelmingly on the quality of the food.

First of all this place is centrally located near national theatre. Lots of foreigners eat here so it seems like a touristic place. And it feels like that as well. It's super tacky with its pools, huge statues, chandeliers with crystals and crystal curtains. Horrible decoration or at least does not fit my stylish needs. The plus side is that it's a big place so you can fit large groups of people at once. The service was quite fast. There is lots of people working and running around. Not the most relaxing atmosphere though. I had the crispy duck with my friends and this was quite good. The duck was very dry but still the taste was good. The house wine was quite bad. Wouldn't recommend it. Some of the people of my group had the all you can eat buffet and they were quite disappointed. This type of places do not reach my expectations of a place I would go back to. It seems more like a place where someone who doesn't know where to eat goes.

The service is great from my experience. My love for vietnamese food is undeniable. I highly recommend Bun Cha Gio and it's a traditional noodle salad, served in a bowl with fresh veggies and nuoc mam (fish sauce). Gio is the Vietnamese word for fried spring rolls. These are added for crunch. From a spicy perspective. And that's one of my many favourite vietnamese dish. They have the best spring rolls hands down. They also serve thai food. I've only tried their Pad Thai. It was okey, not the best one I had.
