The physician did physical tests to make certain that the hip joint wasn't involved and then used pressure to identify the source of the pain at the joint between the spine and pelvis. They then did a CT scan to identify the source of the pain, and I was prescribed a course of prednisone. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. This will always be my ER of choice.

I have now seen several of the rotating Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and every one of them has been warm, friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. I don't know how many they have on staff but they seem to have enough to serve everybody who comes in and very promptly as well. Overall bedside manner is warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping you. I never feel rushed through an appointment. My most recent visit involved what I believed was an ear infection, but it turned out to be more of an ear pH imbalance and irritation issue rather than anything severe. It is the kind of condition that can often be treated with simple over-the-counter remedies, yet it still helps to have a qualified medical provider evaluate it properly and point you in the right direction. Obviously, urgent care does not replace having a primary care physician. However, if you have no health insurance, very often you do not have a primary care physician either. That is the reality for millions of people who are unemployed, between jobs, self-employed, or simply not earning enough to absorb the monthly cost of a health plan. In the age of AI and economic disruption, more people are slipping through the cracks of healthcare than many care to admit. I do not currently make enough money to comfortably carry a monthly insurance plan, and I am not old enough for the next chapter of life, which is the Medicare age. Until then, clinics like Doctors Urgent Care provide an important bridge with reasonable self-pay pricing and accessible care. You are really never in the office for more than 30-40 minutes and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Dr's and nurse practitioners are very knowledgeable, caring and they give you the care that you deserve. You often will get a follow up call either the next day or the day after to see if you are doing better. I will very often come here if I have a health issue that needs immediate attention instead of waiting for an appointment with my primary care physician that would often take some time to get. That being said, the transition to Center Well has had a few bumps, but it has gotten better. I lost (to retirement) my PCP earlier this year, but things seem to better now. Expected. The caregivers are great with little exception. Change always yields some hiccups, but things seemed to have settled down. I continue to endorse Creekside and staff for well above average healthcare, fine doctors and nurses and specialist. I never give a 5-star, because nothing is ever perfect. My brother calls (and texts) the office on my father's behalf - and still prescriptions get delayed and are not filled. We were told that the phone message system has glitches so texting the office is a good option (did that....no response/no prescription filled). This isn't a one- time problem - it's repetitive. Don't know who is responsible at this office for managing prescription requests, but they need to definitely step up their attention to their job.
