My barely 25‑year‑old daughter, Taylor, died after what multiple independent physicians and an…read moreautopsy have confirmed was reckless medical negligence and neglect in an HCA Florida Hospital where she was taken after being rear‑ended at a red light. Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. The most horrible experience at a health facility that I have ever received. I will never use their…read moreservices again..The whole atmosphere of the floor I was on was a very toxic work environment, the staff was so short handed and over worked, the services were the worst. Patients being postponed several days for scheduled surgeries because of short staff or not enough operating rooms for over scheduled appointments. I have hypertension and was not given my blood pressure medication for most of my 4 day stay there, until my pressure reached 188/109, they said that they put it on hold because at one point my pressure was good. WHAT??.. The waiting for things like medications, help with iv, getting ice or drinks was ridiculous. I waited for 30 minutes with my iv pump beeping and nurse light flashing and pushing buttons every 2minutes to quieten the beep before I took it upon myself to just turn it off. A blood technician came in to do blood work and proceeded to use a vein that was already injured from an iv being put there, I asked her don't you think that's already bruised up enough, and she responded to me, no it's a good vein and I'm going to use it..ok fine, so I sat up to let her and she said no you need to lay flat down because I can't do it like that cause of my back, well I thought I was the patient ma'am not you. Honestly I'm still here and it's 230 in the morning and I'm just waiting for 6am when the doctors make their rounds so I can request to get out of the awful toxic environment, I would seriously think twice before using this health facility, it's almost like the patient is last or forgotten. I feel really bad for some of the staff because of the conditions of their work environment..It was sad to see the nurses getting cursed out because they had to be the messengers of bad news to patients because of the cancelations of surgeries, what an experience it was, this is only part of it,honestly I could write a mini series of the events that took place these last 4 days. But in reality I just want to get out of here, 6 o clock can't come fast enough.

Are super but just like back in the 70's and 80's the hospital formerly known as Munroe regional is falling apart. I supposedly had the best room in the hospital room 609. It had a beautiful view, but nothing else in the whole room worked. The table was cracked and the laminate was peeling off. There was no shower head in the shower. The lamp was taken apart. There were no towels wash cloths or soap. It was absolutely disgusting. I will never go back to that hospital as long as I live. They used to say Monroe was where you go to die. Well, I still believe that to be true. The staff is great, but they need to tear that place down and start over.

Thank you for explaining everything so clearly, we really appreciated how you kept my husband calm during a stressful situation and in the middle of his pain. Your kindness and empathy made a huge difference and how you genuinely cared for my husband will not be forgotten. Your knowledge is very impressive, and frankly, not to sound repetitive, however you are indeed a quintessential professional. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your humor...thank you again Nurse Shep! Blessings in bountiful and boundless measure over you and your family. UPDATE; Just wanted to add to this review because we must give justice where justice is due. On Sunday morning we went to the ER and met another exceptional medical team member; Nurse Shep. He is like the "Good Shepard"! I was so impressed with Nurse Shep, that I sent a personal message to the CEO, Alan Keesee. Just another confirmation that the team at this HCA is extraordinary indeed. The whole team here must have been handpicked. Nurse Shep, is EPIC, and checks all the boxes for a quintessential professional. The people in this area are blessed beyond imagination to have such a devoted, compassionate, and knowledgeable team at HCA Foxwood. After witnessing many hospitals across Florida, Georgia, and Minnesota over the last 13 years, I've become exceptionally aware of the care provided. Again, we count ourselves blessed to have HCA ER at Foxwood. Thank you to all who work tirelessly to provide 5 Star service. Again, blessings to ALL! This is by far an exceptional medical team to boast about, and well deserving of the highest possible rating. This afternoon we had to respond to the HCA ER Foxwood, and met with Dr. Diago, and Nurse John who are two supreme examples of quintessential professionals, as well as their colleagues starting with the front desk intake lady, (sorry I didn't get her name), to each technician. Each and every person we met are so phenomenal that we must give the accolades that are well deserved. They were conscientious and efficient covering all bases, which gives such a peace of mind. The warmth, and empathy was astounding and we could literally, feel the passion they have as medical- professionals who hold the Hippocratic Oath as their code of conduct. The knowledge and wisdom applied was indeed impressive. The whole team worked together like a fine-tuned machine, in a display of astounding cohesiveness which is so refreshing as they respect each other while they serve their patients in need. They are expeditious, hard-working, and quick to share a smile. Working in the ER must be taxing as this is a time, not planned, and caretaker/family members must drop everything to get the patient there as quickly as possible in most cases, so now emotions are filled with anxiety. However, somehow it gets better when they walk in your room, and suddenly a sense of peace overcomes you....because you know that they have it all under control. We are so blessed to have this caliber of professionals and we know that they make the HCA chief executive officer proud for their exemplary service to this community. God bless all these amazing people in fathomless measure with good health and safety always. Thank you!

It's an Emergency facility so I was a bit hesitant to go in as this was far from an "emergency" but when I went in I simply could not have been treated better! Between registering me, taking me back to a room, taking my vitals and history, getting the Doc in to see me, look at my ear and give a referral and checking out, I was out of there in 30 mins or less! Everyone was super nice. Although you can go in for "urgent care" this is a full-on Hospital facility. Everything is state-of-the-art. I could not recommend it more highly!
