Fast and friendly service. The nurses and doctors are empathetic and there is a monitor in the room that keeps you updated along the care which is reassuring. Highly recommend. Best overall emergency care service I've ever been to. Extremely fast check in and very competent staff. I was in and out of there and gone in less than an hour. Even with the CAT scan done. I saw no less than 5 different nurses and assistants. Very complete facility with x-rays CAT scans and all up-to-date medical services. read more

We have been to the Summerfield ER twice. We only waited 5 minutes in the waiting room each time. The nurse/tech began taking vitals and gathering history as soon as your name was called. This person was assigned to you for your entire visit. The actual waiting time for the doctor was probably 15 minutes or less. The doctor did not seem rushed at either visit. The doctors were kind and caring at both visits. Tests such as CAT scans and X-rays are performed quickly and we received the results in a timely manner. Check-out was conveniently done in your exam room. I highly recommend the Summerfield Emergency Room for fast, complete, and wonderful service. read more

My wife woke up this morning to severe pain in her abdominal area. We drove to the Summerfield ER for medical attention. We received immediate care the paperwork came after her treatment. The staff were great and quickly diagnosed her issue as a kidney stone. The attending nurse and doctor explained to us the issue and provided prescriptions to treat her pain and to help pass the stone. Visit to Summerfield ER. Reasonable wait, very courteous staff including intake RN, the CT tech and her trainee. A PA examined and treated me. She was very helpful and caring, appeared to be thorough. I do wish that a MD had at least entered my room, but that did not happen. Having just a PA examine potentially serious injuries (without a brief exam by a MD) is not the best choice for the patient, in my opinion. I know the ER makes more $$ but it's at the expense of my well being. I'm sure we paid the highest charge for the visit, so they should have included a MD. Other than that - very good care. This ER feeds to HCA Ocala and HCA West Marion. read more

Quick service, easy check in at kiosk. Security officer friendly and helpful. Building is beautiful and cold bring a jacket. Triage nurse not so friendly don't ask simple questions like where are the seats without expecting a rude response. Other than that good experience. read more

Excellent experience My wife had fallen, hurting her knee and elbow. Short wait for exam room, and she was x-rayed and released in a couple of hours. If it was possible to have a positive ER experience we did tonight. My daughter sprained her knee and was in considerable pain. She was in an exam room in less than 10 minutes and given an X-ray within minutes. Her leg was immobilized and she was given crutches and follow up instructions. Kimmy the nurse was super. read more

I went in the er on 10/23/2021 around 12:00. Fell on my wrist and it was really hurting and swollen even though I had ice on it for an hour, The nurses were very friendly. I had it x-rayed and when the Dr came in he said it was a contusion. He ask me if I had a wrist brace and I said no he said go buy one. If not better in a week go see an orthopedic. So I waited for the discharge nurse to come in so I could leave. She looked at me and ask if I was in pain as I held my arm against my chest. She came back and wrapped it and gave me a sling which made it feel better. She was awesome. It took me 2 1/2 weeks to get in to an orthopedic and he look at their x-rays and couldn't believe they didn't see the fracture. Even I could see the fracture and I am not a medical professional. I think the young Dr that saw me needs to go back to school. I will be contacting my insurance company read more

Waited there almost 6 hours for medical attention; then received unprofessional care; treatment room visibly unsanitary; clerical person never looked at patient's driver's license to verify correct address -- and thus sent their bill to wrong address which was finally corrected by the post office and patient received bill almost 6 months later with a collection threat. We are visitors at the rv park across the street from Summerfield ER. When what appeared to be a common cold turned into breathing challenges we paid them a visit. The staff is excellent, from the receptionist on up. They moved quickly, addressed all my concerns, did the proper tests and treatments (I am a nurse and have been this route before) and sent me home with only necessary prescriptions. Questions were encouraged. This was done with a caring attitude and sense of humor from each and every one. I highly recommend this ER, including Dr Savko, Nurse Chris, and paramedic Eric. read more

My nephew fell and his leg was very swallow right away and we took him here. I think they are too fast and not looking properly at their patients. Once the doctor knew what his "diagnosis" was he opened the room door and said it's just a sprain. He didn't even come in the door said it once he opened the door then walked out. He was out Within the hour and they false diagnosed him. We took him to an ER and found out it was broken. I don't recommend coming here because the doctors don't take the time for each patient. I'm giving it one star only because I have to in order to write the review. My doctor insisted I go to the ER after running a 100 degree fever after a colonoscopy. I knew he was just worried about COVID but I was afraid not to follow his instructions so I went to the closest ER. They did NOT tell me they couldn't do a COVID test until after I got in a room. Someone (I have no idea if it was a doctor) talked to me for 5 minutes, at which time he said he was sure the doctor was worried about COVID but they could not do a COVID test and he would just do a flu test even though he knew it would be negative. Why? I did not ask for a flu test. I think he just wanted to "do" something. Now they are charging me almost $2000. I have called and written letters trying to figure out how to appeal, but all I get is form letters and the bill back saying that I don't qualify for charity. I don't want charity, but nobody's 5 minutes is worth $2000 and they should have sent me home knowing they couldn't even check for COVID. They were pleasant enough, but unless you have money to burn, drive on. read more
