I've been to ALL of the other children's resell/consignment shops in central Texas and this location had the best payout and acceptance rate. I brought in two very packed buckets full of my son's old clothes. They took nearly 90% of it and dished out a nice chuck of cash for it all. It took about two days for them to go through everything cause they were packed but that was no problem for me. I've really enjoyed every interaction I've had with their staff and I'm assuming the owner as well. The ladies have all been SO very kind and helpful.

They had a pretty great selection of clothing, most of it in great condition. I found my daughter a pair of nice jeans and a cute top. They also have some toys and books for sale. Prices are very reasonable. One of the best parts is that they have a play area (gated) so your kid can have fun while you shop. Brilliant. My daughter was super excited about this (we just dragged her through the antique mall nearby where she couldn't touch any of the collectible toys, haha). The owners are really nice and helpful. We found out that they also work with local organizations that connect them with families in need. Awesome. Great experience and will definitely be returning. It's tucked away in the middle so it's a bit hard to locate at first. The parking is a bit odd cause you'll more than likely have to park directly in front of another business- and while that sounds normal, once you see it, you'll know what I mean! When you enter Tiny Texan Exchange, it is a small shop but it is full of merchandise! There is a growing selection of infant, toddler, small child, and maternity clothes. As well as toys, accessories, baby gear, and a few other bits and bobs. My son, unfortunately, did not fit anything that had to offer at the time (pre-grand opening) so we opted to purchase a couple toys! The owner was there, working hard, and holding great conversation the whole time! She loves to yap- a woman of my own heart! We look forward to selling items and hopefully purchasing clothing in the near future. At this time, they are only offering store credit for sold merchandise but for most that works out perfectly!

They go up to size 14 kids and I was most impressed with their selection of jackets. They also buy shoes, books, toys, strollers, etc. You can go offsite as long as you return within an hour of their completion notification. This is great because it can take 20-30 minutes per person to go through your stuff. Sometimes they offer cash and sometimes they offer cash or credit. Call first if you have questions.

There's also a decent selection of furniture that's in nice shape along with plenty of wall hangings. However, the store itself is only about 5000 ft.² or about the size of a large convenient store. They have three dressing rooms but no public bathroom. Much of the merchandise such as books are in line with Goodwill pricing, but some items are higher. Virtually all the pants, dress shirts and jeans sell for six dollars each. However, the store is only open 5 to 6 hours a day Tues-Sat.

They offer free cloth diapering classes with a very informed cloth diapering mama, so if you are new to CDing, then go to that before you start venturing into the store. Sometimes they do run out of items since they are selling both locally and online but if you follow them on facebook, they tell you when they are restocked. They also run sales pretty regularly. Honestly, there are very few local places to find the items that they sell so I appreciate the huge diversity of options that Tiny Birds supplies. The prices are comparable to what you will find online (since they also operate as an online shop and have to compete with other online retailers) but sometimes they are a tad more expensive. But you know what? I'll pay the extra $1 or 2 to support a local business with a great mission. And you know what else? You can get local, organic, free range eggs here too!
