I'm someone who gives a place a second chance. I used to come to this place all the time when it was Reno's. They always had great food sadly over time it has declined and since changing to Chiefs it has not even come close. Have been there couple times since becoming chiefs with subpar experiences. The food was not very good and the service was lacking. I'm someone who is very considerate having worked in restaurant industry. This last trip was far better the waitress was very attentive with them being busy on a Sunday. The food wasn't 10/10 but it was decent. It wasn't super expensive. There is still need for improvement like other restaurants. I have regained hope that Logan will once again have 5 star steakhouse so we don't have to drive to Charleston. read more

After reading reviews yesterday we went to 317 Steakhouse. It was excellent. I was nervous about coming here, but figured Covid had probably left them short staffed and the reason for a few bad reviews. I asked our waitress, McKenny (sp?), if the catfish was good. She assured me it was. And it was. And the rolls were hot and fresh, the fries were good, my friend's chicken sandwich was good and our waitress was excellent. Food came fast and hot. After waiting five minutes with waiting staff standing around, I was finally seated. The table was dirty and sloppily wiped off into the floor. Behavior I could understand if the establishment was busy, but for a Tuesday evening, it was surprisingly slow. I ordered a queso dip appetizer, but received a cold skillet of unmelted cheese and a basket of broken chips. My "Spanish rosebud" wasn't even fully cooked, raw batter was left near the center and it was barely cooked. My steak was large and decently seasoned 20oz steak, however the quality of the cut was very low. I was able to eat less than half of my 20oz porterhouse due to gristle and bone. The waiting staff would stand around and talk to one another, never offering a refill or asking if anything was needed. I had to get up and take condiments from a neighboring table. This establishment needs a complete overall, I have never been so disappointed by a steakhouse. This was an anniversary dinner and it was a complete waste of nearly $100. read more

We stopped in on Mother's Day, and I expected it to be packed, but we arrived before the rush. We were seated immediately and our server took our drink orders pretty quickly and gave us rolls with butter. The rolls were warm and very good. I ordered the Iroquois Chicken, my mom ordered meatloaf, & my brother ordered chicken tenders. My chicken was really good. It was a little heavy on the salt, but I liked it a lot. Someone that doesn't like salty food, may think it's too much. My mom said her meatloaf was quite good. My brother's chicken tenders were quite hard. Quality food can vary a little bit, but overall this place isn't bad. Their services sometimes really great but never below average. It's easy to get a reservation for large groups on most days and they do a pretty good job of serving larger groups. read more

YOU GUYS KEEP IT UP AND MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON LOGAN,WV'S RESTAURANT HIERARCHY ELITE... YEAH! THE ONLY REASON YOU GET 4 STARS INSTEAD OF FIVE IS BECAUSE THE BUTTER WAS UNSALTED, but no biggie... the mingo chicken was cock-a-doodle-badonkadonka-doo crazy and the steak fries were seasoned but as always you need ketchup to enjoy your fries... overall you are one of the best restaurant to ever come to southern west virginia... thank you chief's for the experience... i will be returning. We've been at plenty of restaurants, over the decades! Chief's Roadhouse has incredible appetizers, great buns, and wonderful steaks. The ribeyes my brothers and I had were perfect. Atmosphere is great but no doubt what made the whole meal come together was Madison, our server. Absolutely top notch! read more

Would not sell me alcohol because my drivers license was out of state and was not what their "their waitresses are used to". Everyone at my table was of drinking age and ordered drinks. The waitress took my drink order and then came back to check my ID. Looked as if she was researching my drivers license on the internet and then came back to the table and said I would not be able to be served. After wards i began to get extremely sick and violently throwing up, i've been up for a few hours after eating at this place because i keep throwing up. Had a waitress that had absolutely 0 experience. Forgot everything we asked for, took forever. Took my girlfriends plate literally as soon as she pulls a fry from it, she had to tell her to give her the plate back.
