I usually go thru Safelite for windshield replacements because of how convenient the mobile service is but they didn't have any available appointments for today & I was quoted $475 to replace my windshield. I yelped Windshield Replacement in the San Diego area just to see what's out there & i'm SO glad that I called Chief Auto Glass (& it was totally meant to be that Nick had my car's windshield in his van at the time I called!!!) Nick (the owner) was really nice, super helpful & was very accommodating to replace my windshield literally 2 hours after I called! When Nick arrived at my house, from start to finish... it took literally 15 minutes. Other windshield shops I called said that it would take 1-1.5 hours for the whole process & you know how busy life is, there's just not enough time to just sit and wait around. PLUS, it was decently priced as compared to Safelite's quote (with no additional charge for mobile service) I am so pleased with the whole experience - I highly recommend!!! Do not hesitate to call - you will NOT be disappointed. read more

Chief Auto Glass - Glass was nice and clean & great customer service. - Auto Glass Services Near Me - El Cajon, California

Came in to replace my windshield and they ripped my entire headliner when taking off the glass, they tried to not tell me about it and they did not want to fix the issue when I pointed it out. instead they offered $50 off the price which I was furious about because it costs more than the windshield to replace the headliner, very unprofessional and tried to upsell me because there was a tiny rust line where the windshield sits, I do not recommend this buisness at all, go to real professionals, these guys don't care about quality, and they left glass all over the inside of my truck and didn't do any cleaning up. read more

Thank you Chief Auto Glass! I was shopping around and was quoted a lot of $280-$350 for a lot of windshield replacement. My windshield had a crack on passenger top side and didn't even notice it until possibly weeks have gone by that I noticed a crack. Measured it and it was longer than a dollar bill so there's no way I can purchase a windshield repair kit and fill in resin in that. Nick answered and provided me the lowest price and conveniently around my area. A+ for them open on a Saturday! Repair: Nick came by and provided a good quality I'd say OEM Glass, about identical to my previous windshield. Nick noticed that I needed a new molding on the top and was able to replace it. Tip for thought: They are mobile and can come to your location. I'd definitely recommend these guys. Peace Yelp Heads! read more

To keep my story short, I basically needed a windshield repair due to me not closing the front hood all the way, so as i went on the freeway it flew up and cracked the windshield. Scary as FUCK. Immediately the same day I started calling glass repair companies. Two of the companies did not answer I left voicemails and still 24 hours later no response back. I called the next place the was going to charge me my ARM & both LEGS. So I found chief auto glass who answered my call immediately. Told me they could come right out to me tomorrow, which I was looking for. Also they had a decent price. I get to keep my arms & legs :)... Very professional, legit, and reasonable price. Honestly, I cant thank them enough I know it was just my windshield but I have other things going on too so to find a company do their job when you seek out for their services can make a huge difference in ones day! I definitely recommend this company also Frank and his partner is who helped me ... read more

Nick is fantastic I needed a new front windshield window due to a chip that SD Window Tint couldn't cover up due to their policy. He was able to get me a new window the same day we spoke, and was able to be tinted as well. I believe he is mobile if you need him to replace a window for you and your unable to go to his shop. He is fast and efficient with fare prices. I appreciated how convenient the work I received on my car today all in the same shopping center plus marketed with a few other people on the lot that does Auto Detailing for great prices too!! Overall 5 stars for all their businesses. read more

Nick, I've sent 2 e-mails to the e-mail address on your web-site and left a detailed voice message at the phone # listed asking for a "detailed receipt" for our windshield replacement. Best in San Diego! Call the chief he's a pro installer!!! Very efficient and great customer service.

Update: it has been a year since this review. Unfortunately we had another broken windshield. Fortunately we called these guys again and this time they came out to us. They're quick, they do a great job and they even asked us if we needed any parking stickers off the old windshield (which we probably would have forgotten on our own). Definitely glad we called and used them again. Original review: I actually called a different auto glass place on yelp, but that place has since closed and I was redirected to Chief Auto Glass. The place is small and toward the back of the complex, but it is clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Since I called ahead they were ready for us immediately, there was no wait time. They were extremely helpful, we will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

Nick is probably one of the best Window repair guys in San Diego. My window was broken into over the weekend and he was able to fix it first thing on Monday. His prices are very good and I would know that because I did a lot of shopping around prior to getting my window repaired by him. He was quick and professional. He kept me updated on when he was going to arrived and when I did meet with him, he did the job very quickly but maintained quality work. It was 11:30 am Saturday morning, when I got into my car and noticed something on the driver's side windshield of my 2018 Mustang. I got out of the car & immediately saw that something had struck the edge of the glass and there was a crack from the edge to the center of the glass. After a Google search, I started making calls for estimates. Nick was friendly, yet professional. I was a bit irritated with what was going on, but he was as cool as a cucumber, lol. He gave me a quote ( which was affordable), I agreed & they were at my house in an hour. It took less than an hour & you can tell it was professionally done. He also gave me a warranty & temporary care instructions. I HIGHLY recommend Chief auto Glass. read more

$949 for a windshield? Shame on me for not asking for a quote beforehand. Sloppy work. Large gaps in the upper molding. Antenna grommet destroyed. Install guy blamed issues on everything but himself.
