Wow, I can't believe the reviews. My last visits have been nothing short of amazing. First the store manager, a man named Thomas is as nice and energetic as can be. He says "Hello" to his all of customers by name, some even get big hugs. It is such a great environment. The staff is very helpful and always seem like they are having fun. They are great with Finding items and putting them together for you. On a few occasions I have even made a "personal styling appointment" and I had a sales person all to myself. This by far is my favorite Chico's, I always visit when I am in the neighborhood, there is always something new to see. Visit this store if you have the chance. It is something to see. read more

I wanted to return several online purchases in the store. They didn't seem to have the information needed and asked me for the order numbers. I had the receipts and the merchandise still had the tags on. I had to look up the order numbers on my phone to give them. It was not good. I am reluctant to go back. read more

The manager and asst. manager at the Rockville store changed about six months ago and I can feel the difference in the store. No one greeted me or offered to help me. I had to come out of the dressing room to find additional sizes...no one spoke with me except a women who I think might be the new store manager, complimented my skirt choice as she came out of the back and then left for the day. The associate that finally helped me at the desk, seemed put-upon to assist me with a return and online order. I decided not to purchase rather than allow the store to benefit. It has been my practice to go into the stores for orders, even though online can be more convenient, because I enjoy shopping at the brick and mortar stores and want them to have the traffic and sales to ensure they will be there. I will not return to THIS store again. When I used to come to the store I was always greeted, helped with finding items, given suggestions, etc. The old managers always knew where products were located, even if they were in the back and were interested in EVERYONE getting solid, professional service. That no longer seems to be the case. I came during the evening on a weekday after work. What was supposed to be a pleasant finish to my day was just the opposite. I will not be back. read more

I had a disastrous experience. I got emails about extra 25 percent off sake prices. And the website said the same thing. When I went to check out it was not honored and three employees in customer service said I did not understand the promotion. They could not do simple math. And after I posted a bad review someone called me who did not e en know about the promotion either. There are some many stores I can buy clothes from. Never again from Chicos read more

I read bad reviews which is why I want to leave mine. I am not a Chico size 0 or 1 so I knew I'd not find lots of flattering finds. But I had a gift card and coupon so I had to go. I am a frequent shopper at Chico's---I was eager to find a very specific pair of pants. I had to go up to a salesperson in order for her to help me. Instead of actually taking me to the section, she quickly waved that I can "look over there" and then turned back to looking at another customer. I didn't find the exact thing, but I found something similar, and tried them on. I went to try them on, but they didn't look the way that my beloved pants did. When I came out, there was no rack to put my clothes, and none of the salespeople asked me "How did it work out?" or anything aligned to seeing how well the pants fit. So, I placed both things on a rack and left--I don't spend money where I haven't been served well. Ironically, I overheard another customer telling another salesperson that she was very unhappy with the service that she received in the store. I'm not the only one! This was the worst experience with a Chico's establishment, and I will not return here again. read more

I needed to exchange a dress I bought online and stopped by this Chico's on my way home. The saleswoman was very nice and helped me find the right size replacement. I did not linger around because of the pandemic, but the store felt safe and welcoming. The clothes and accessories are beautifully displayed. I was surprised to read the bad reviews for this store so wanted to share my positive experience. I plan to visit this Chico's next time I need clothing. read more

I went to the Rockville store today around 1:00 pm, ready and willing to spend money. I walked into the store, there were 2 sales persons and a manager at the register. No one greeted me. That's ok, small staff, and they're helping other customers--No problem. One salesperson did approach me. Not a "Hello welcome to Chicos" but, "can I get you a fitting room?" That's not how you greet customers. Once the crowd dwindled to just me in the store, not one person approached me to see if I needed anything, However, a white person came to the store, and all three sales people greeted him with "Welcome to Chicos". But, I'm still not upset. I found some items, went to the cash register, and the manager was equally cold and distant as if he wanted me out of there. So, I brought my items and left. After I calmed down, Why should they profit from their indifference towards me? So I brought everything back and left. I will never revisit the Rockville store. You get better customer service from Talbots and J Jill in Chevy Chase MD. read more

I shop at Chico's all the time and love their clothes, but this stores has the rudest "salespeople" I have ever encountered. I put sales people in quotes because I dont think these people actually want to make any sales. The last time (last straw) I went there, they were too busy to ring me up even though I was standing there with a credit card in my hand. The manager was standing right there and he was on the phone and shrugged his shoulders as if there was nothing he could do. There was NO ONE at the cash registers. Instead, I went to another store in the same shopping center and bought an outfit there. I wish I could break out the stars - the store is well organized, well stocked with beautiful clothes and accessories but shopping there is a total bummer which I will never attempt again. I'll stick either with the much smaller Chevy Chase store or continue to shop online. read more

Went to this store again...its been a few months since I was there and totally disappointed so I thought "Hey...we ALL have off days here and there so let me given them another chance." Well, I am now convinced that this Chico's store simply does not like, respect or want customers of color. I'm not one to p,ay the race card but I've now (on 3 separate occasions) watched the difference in how customers are treated and there is no disputing it! Yesterday (Friday, December 7), I stood for 11 minutes with $475 worth of merchandise that I wanted to PURCHASE and no one asked me if I wanted to try those items on, was ready to check out, etc. The woman at the register was busying herself with tags--no one else looked close to ready to check out and managed to contort her face in a scowl and turn her back on me as I approached the desk. Needless to say, I returned every item to its rightful rack and left. What I won't do is patronize that store again. I will also make sure NONe of my sister-friends go there either. At this point, I am beginning to believe that it is time to abandon Chico's altogether. Sad...they've been my go-to for years. I was thrilled to finally look at the reviews here for the Rockville Chico's. I have NEVER been asked if I needed help in the dozens of times I have been to this store. Even when the only customer, I am completely ignored. I have pointed this out to them repeatedly and they don't give a rat's ass. THAT INCLUDES THE TIME I SHOPPED THERE USING A WALKER AND NO ONE WOULD HELP ME, EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO PUT BOTH HANDS ON THE WALKER AND COULD NOT CARRY OR REACH FOR ANYTHING. On several occasions, I have had to wait on and on and on for a salesperson to stop having a personal conversation with another customer in Russian. It's disgusting and totally contrary to the policy of excellent service I have seen and received at other locations. I work hard to earn my money; why don't they? Their sales staff is on the clock, and I ultimately pay them. I am their job security. Is this too simple for them to understand? Or too contrary to their work ethic? read more

I love Chico's (frequently buy in the the store and on line). I have shopped at this store dozens of times. I find the clerks helpful, but not pushy. Even when I bring in lots of returns, the staff is courteous. Tonight, and a couple of weeks ago, clerks offered to locate sale items for me, when my size wasn't in the store. This store is large and has a very good selection of Chico's merchandise. No complaints from me; I'm a loyal shopper! read more

I am an avid Chico's shopper. This store has disappointed me repeatedly. It was previously located in a different section of the Congressional Plaza shopping center. Staff seem to have carried over their attitudes" and act as if they are doing me a favor by waiting on me. While I have found an occasional sales person helpful, that is not the norm. Yesterday I went in and waited at the counter while other customers were being helped. The apparent manager walked up, saw several of us in line, and said "one of them will be with you shortly." She wasn't waiting on a customer. When it was my turn, the young woman behind the counter said "next." When I walked up to her, she turned her back to me then started putting clothing on hangers. When she was finished she turned around and said something like "now." The rest of the transaction went downhill. I found her rude and totally lacking sales savvy with no discernible comprehension of what customer service means. It is doubtful I will ever return to this location. read more
