This place was huge compared to the other stores in downtown. It was filled with locally-made items and food from the area and county. There were so many unique gifts and items here. We spent over an hour in the store browsing! My friend and I spent over 5 minutes talking to Patty in the food section listening to her talk about each vendor she personally worked with and knew. You could hear the passion in her voice when describing each item. The scones mix, she explained, took the chef over a year to perfect, the hot sauces, she knew every little detail. She was so knowledgeable and welcoming. In fact, all the employees we interacted with were so helpful. I've had Lundberg organic brown rice many times as they used to carry it at my Costco but I had no idea they made rice chips. One of the other employees said she went to high school with the Lundberg's kids! There were so many things I wanted to bring back home but couldn't. It will just warrant another trip up to Chico in the near future! Thank you to the staff here for making us feel so welcome on our first visit ever to Chico!

The store is very very packed full of clothes as well (and it's already quite small) making it hard to navigate and sort through. I wouldn't pay the prices they are asking, but I would if they put more care into the clothes they're selling and cleaning up the place generally. I think they could make the store easier to navigate and worth the prices by reducing overall inventory by 15%, and removing the stained and damaged and not-vintage clothes from the regular section, and having a distinct clearance section for those items.

I knew that I was overpaying, but I needed something to wear for a couple parties and shopping is limited in Chico. Both dresses ripped on the first wear. The stitching tension on Angie dresses is too tight. It snaps and breaks even if you're just trying to get in and out of cars. I'll try to fix mine but the quality is so bad that I'm sure I'll only get a couple more wears out of it. The huge markup is what turns me off from shopping here.

walked in looking for a black pair of bootcut jeans, left with a pair of black wide leg jeans. the…read moreservice is okay, the workers are very pushy when it comes to shopping. they ask "oh what are you looking for" and then they find like items similar to them. they give you a fitting room and then they push more clothing onto you, fitting rooms have a small mirror so it basically forces you to go out and look at the mirrors outside of the fitting room. i needed the jeans for an event which got canceled, i went to return them and i was only given back $98 back in store credit! i needed that 98 dollars back in gas and turns out i just left with some stupid store credit. thanks for the store credit, but the clothing is so expensive.

We were going to go to the mall to look for a dress. I was feeling sorry for my daughter that she was going with me, and not going to have her mom's help dress shopping. We stopped downtown for coffee and happened upon For Elyse. I am so glad we decided to go in. The two young women working there gave my daughter the full on princess treatment. They showed her dozens of dresses, helped her try them on, gave her great advice, and paired the dress she eventually picked with shoes and a necklace. My daughter looked stunning with it all put together. It brought tears to my eyes. I am so thankful to Preslie and the other young woman whose name I didn't catch.
