This shop may be in an obscure place off of highway 32 but it is the worth the trip and definitely a superior comic book and the best one in the area by a mile. This shop is family owned and it definitely shows. Its very clear that everyone who works here is a lover of comics as well and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. They take an interest in their customers and recognize regulars and address them by name when they come in. All new releases are clearly displayed on a big wall, and the tend to not mark up their back issues that are only a few months old. This place also has an amazing selection of t shirts, statues, board games and all the usual stuff. Its decently sized without being way too huge and has a great sense of charm and wonder. Lacks the sertle corporate feeling of certain large comic shops.

The product selection is very wide and variable. They were out of a few things but they had plenty of options and loads of popular brands. They had a lot of services that artists would find useful. They had things that you wouldn't even think they carried. Useful for field techs just as much as an artist. The prices were also very fair. Didn't need to blow out my budget for what I was looking for. I would recommend for anyone in Chico in need of art supplies.

Beautiful, small art shop located in the corner…read more My friend took me here because he loves the artist who puts famous buildings and photoshops it in the middle of no where - really great concept! The employee that approached that was very friendly. She explained to us about the artist and how he was able to do it. They seemed to have a large selection of work by local artists which I think is fantastic. The glass art that was on display was gorgeous, even if they did have quite a few glass pumpkins mixed in there. I'll be the first to admit, I do not get the whole glass pumpkin thing, they are everywhere! Do that many people really like pumpkins? Or are there just that many women running around with Cinderella complexes? Anyway, they had several (non-squash) pieces that I would've loved to have come home with. Maybe next time. Carol and Jenny welcomed me with open arms. They made me feel so good when I walked in there. I've been feeling a little negative about my body lately but Carol dressed me, and I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world just letting her give me clothes and telling me what looks good on me and I came home with a beautiful new wardrobe that I get to mix-and-match but the mother of the groom dress is absolutely gorgeous. I begged my daughter-in-law to let me know if it was OK to wear black. She's the one that actually picked it out for me so I'm wearing this lovely little number with a gorgeous Kimono sheath over the top, and I'm going to look absolutely gorgeous alongside the bride, the mother of the bride and my handsome son I can't wait! Anyway, ladies thank you so much for the best experience of my life. I've been feeling very down on myself and you made me feel fabulous today. Thank you again if I could give you 100 stars I would. This is a huge store with what looks like a million discs for sale and rent! We've taken advantage of their 10 movies of $20 deals more than once. They even offer rentals for amazing prices- $10 for 5 movies for 5 days cannot be beaten. Old classic movies rent for as little as $7.50 for 5 movies- incredible! Employees walked right past me without so much as a glance, and when an older staff member finished with a group of customers, I was clearly next in line yet he looked right past me and helped a customer who had just walked in. To make matters worse, he then spent his time chatting with his wife about a customer's account while I stood there waiting. The other employee who had already walked past me without acknowledgment? He went on to help yet another customer who arrived after I did. I have never felt so invisible in a retail setting. Not a single person asked if I needed help or even made eye contact. The level of indifference here was truly disappointing, and it's clear that customer service is simply not a priority for this business. If you're in Chico and need assistance, I'd strongly recommend Heroes Corner instead their staff is friendly, attentive, and actually willing to help.
