A customer had broken down in one of the drive through lanes. No one was helping him. When I got close, I got out and tried to help. The man in a pickup in front of me got out and with a few tools we got him back running again. By this time I had been sitting in line for over 20 minutes. The line began to move and I was able to order. I got a three piece white with slaw and a large coke. I carried it home, about a 10 minute drive and sat down to eat. The cole slaw was wonderful as always. The chicken however was VERY dry and the breading was crusty, hard to eat. I will never go to the Green River Rd. store again. I'll drive the extra 12 minutes to Newburgh where I know it is consistently good.

I went inside to order, and the dining room could use a good cleaning. It looked like the floor had not been mopped for some time. While I was at the counter ordering I could see that the kitchen needed a good cleaning too. I ordered a potato olés scrambler to go. Unfortunately the potato olés were not fresh or hot but tasted like they had been sitting for some time. I usually love Taco John's so I'm sure I will give them another try but this was not a good experience today.
