I stopped by here around 9:00 am on a weekday. I was the only customer, no one in the drive thru line, no one else inside. I went inside to order, and the dining room could use a good cleaning. It looked like the floor had not been mopped for some time. While I was at the counter ordering I could see that the kitchen needed a good cleaning too. I ordered a potato olés scrambler to go. Unfortunately the potato olés were not fresh or hot but tasted like they had been sitting for some time. I haven't had Taco John's since I lived in MN back in 2012, so I was pretty excited when we moved to EVV and there was a TJ's so close! This location was re-built from the ground up and had its grand reopening today 2/22 -- staff was very friendly and service was relatively quick for the 100+ people in line. 99.9% of patrons were masked and distanced as much as possible (the line was outside vs all inside, so only people waiting for food or ordering were inside). The owner looked so proud to see everything come together this morning -- congratulations!!! We were excited for the promotion. The first 100 people received complimentary Oles for a year -- plus we each received a free taco token for our next visit. Their menu includes breakfast items as well as traditional Tex-mex items (tacos, burritos, enchiladas). We ordered crispy tacos, fish tacos, churro bites, and potato Oles -- everything was cooked well and we enjoyed tacos for breakfast :) read more

We traveled out of town and HAD to stop at Taco John's! Poochi (spelling?) took our order and he had the absolute best customer service I think I've ever seen! He greeted us at the drive thru and we were blown away by how nice he was-extremely nice and helpful. Would return for his customer service alone. The food was outstanding-hot, fresh and quick to come out. We ordered a meat and potato burrito, 2 super burritos and ole bowl-all excellent! If we are ever even close to this town again we will make sure to stop by! HIGHLY recommend. read more

Guy was nice, but I took a 20 min detour to get taco johns, and the grills don't work.. at all? Fine. We order something else. When we get the burritos there is barely anything in them. We only got a burrito and a combo but it came to $19. read more

Waited over 35 minutes for our order. Still had everything wrong and missing food. Every time we go something is always messed up.

This place was the worst. I had just got out of my doctor's app and was starving so I came to Taco John's and it was just bad, my grilled chicken burrito was dry, my cheese dip was like water, and my potato oles were so old and had way too much seasoning on them. Not to mention my burrito was barely grilled and was cold, I would never recommend this place read more

I just had the worst experience i have ever had at a taco john's location. i ordered 2 chicken tacos and a steak griller. The steak griller lacked filling, and looked like a child rolled it up for an infant to eat. On the other hand the chicken tacos were extremely bland because they didn't put any sauce on them at all. The worst part is i spent 14 bucks on all of that (including a sweet tea)and i'm still hungry. read more

I was so hungry and drove all the way to taco johns cause it sounded good and was very disappointed. I could hardly get it off the box and it was wet and all the slices were stacked on top of each other and could get them apart im only giving the 2 stars because my potato olays were still good lol read more

The people that work at this location are not people i would take food from and put in my mouth. Missing teeth, dirty, etc... completely unacceptable. Tacos have a teaspoon of meat in them, mexi rolls have shrunk, and potato ole's are always undercooked. Do yourself a favor and get carry out tacos from hacienda or something. read more

The food was good, potato oles were good as well. But, I agree with the other poster that the youngsters in the kitchen are not as disciplined as far as customer service. They should be mindful that voices carry and should not just be there to have fun and put tacos and burritos together. First of all I have been visiting this restaurant since 1988. I have always enjoyed taco John's first the Washington Ave location and the St Joe location in Evansville, Indiana. I visited Taco John's on St Joe on 3/23/22 and I purchased street tacos and my wife ordered super ole extra Guc/ with extra beef. The beef was inedible. So chewy I had to spit it out. The street tacos were nothing more than 6-7 to 7 slivers of cheese and a huge handful of lettuce with gristle laden meat. I contacted corporate and left feedback. I received a phone call from someone who questioned me and listened to my concerns. Offered a free meal told me to come back. That a meal would be waiting just tell them my name. Fast Forward to 4/ 20? /22 and I go back to taco John's on st Joe ave to reclaim this meal that is allegedly waiting on me only to find they know nothing of it. Hold on wait on line come to the window. Don't waste your hard earned money here they are going down hill fast. They've admitted to me that they changed vendors that staff don't like serving cheap/inedible food. read more

When I come back to my home town the first thing I go for are potato oles. Can't speak for anything else, but potato oles are awesome

Good food but there's kids running around everywhere, workers smoking outside and workers yelling in the kitchen screaming at each other.
