My husband now probably considers this one of his favorite chicken places. I like it simply because I can get fish. It makes a good compromise. Be warned that everything is fried--except coleslaw. They do have choices you won't find at other places. Great side menu. Corn fritters! Fried cheese curds. Jalapeño poppers. Mashed potatoes--careful. On the dry side. Order extra gravy. Randomly decided to stop by because I saw someone eating it on TikTok and it didn't disappoint. The line was long so thats always a good sign. I ordered the chicken tenders meal with hot honey sauce with mac and cheese. The tenders were a good size for the price, seasoned great, fresh like they were just made and the hot honey set it off, I wish I would have asked for like 5 more just to have whenever I order chicken. The young man in the drive thru taking orders gave excellent customer service, it was tip worthy which is very rare at a fast-food restaurant in my experience here in Lawton. read more

1. Staff very unfriendliness 2. Took approx 20 min to get our order ready for 4 adults and two toddlers 3. We have never seen chicken strips that small. In Yukon, Ok of the strips are small you given 6 or 7 strips to make up for it. 4. I ordered fried okra for my side - I received 11 pcs of okra. 5 Our grandbabies made a mess on the floor so I went to the counter and asked for a broom and dust pan so I could clean up. After watching the manager talk to the person I asked for the broom from they finally got the broom and dust pan. As the employee walked towards me I held out my hands for the broom and dust pan - he just stood there and started at me. I reached for them and said thank you but he stood there staring at me then said something I couldn't hear. He repeated it and said I got it. My wife and I are new to the area. We've been searching around for different foods that catch our attention. Today we decided to stop by here. I have to say I was very surprised with the quality of the food. The chicken wasn't dry, the mashed potatoes were a good consistency, and everything had flavor. We were also met with hospitality at the window. The employees were very nice and made sure we left with a smile. My wife especially loves the food, and our went crazy for the jalapeño ranch. I visited the Lawton location of Chicken Express on Monday night at 930 in the evening. I had ordered $60.00 of food to go for my family. The food was prepared and bagged and I was assured everything was there. When I got home, much to my dismay, I was missing 2 family mashed potatoes, 1 dozen rolls and gravy. By the time I had gotten home, the store had closed (it was after 1000 PM). The next day, I was busy with my wife's funeral and did not get time to call or go by. I went by the store on Wednesday, but at 11 AM, it was closed-no one was there. We had a significant snowstorm Wed night lasting thru Saturday. I went by the store on Monday and explained my situation and showed the manager my receipts and she just said we can't do anything because you didn't call. I explained to her again the circumstances and she resounded that company policy says you have to call. I had made two efforts to get in touch face to face, but that wasn't good enough. This is the second time I have not gotten the correct food from this location and it will be the last. I believe you need to look at your policies. I will gladly use word of mouth advertising to let others know the service here. read more

First time eating at Chicken Express, and it was wonderful. I got the fish combo, my husband got the Gizzards, and my son got the spicy chicken tenders, and all of it tasted great. The inside was super clean and so were the bathrooms. To top it all off, the lady at the counter that took our order went above and beyond in service. Don't go here if you're not familiar with the menu a man was yelled at in the drive thru because he didn't understand what the cashier was asking. She continually kept yelling his order and then chose for him! When a call was placed to discuss the situation the manager said that's how they handle customers when they can't hear them since several cashiers had their headsets on and couldn't hear. read more

Fried pickles prob would've been good if they hadn't gotten soggy on the way home. The corn on the cob was overcooked and not sweet at all so I'll skip that next time. On February 20th I ordered a 12 piece family meal in the drive thru that evening. They were very busy and the line was moving slow. An employee came out to take my payment after I placed the order while I was still sitting in line. At this point there were 2 cars in front of me. By the time I reach the window the young man that took my payment told me there would be a 15 minute wait for my order. I was immediately irritated because I had already waited about 15 minutes in line. A nice lady came to the window a few minutes later telling me she was the cook and offered a free gallon of sweet tea and asked me to wait a little longer. I was immediately relieved at the hospitality and excellent customer service. This is why I'm giving this restaurant a 5 star review. It's not the 2 cherry pies and the gallon of sweet tea they gave us for free, but the fact that she offered it. A lot of fast food restaurants are missing this quality. Got to the restaurant. the line to the drive through was too long so I went inside. Made the order... 35 minutes later the food came out. I got home and the order was wrong. I didn't check it before I left the parking lot. When I got home the order was missing an item in each box and got a roll not the biscuit. I've tried calling the phone number. We went because we have heard a lot of people raving about it. We didn't like it. Mash potatoes were dry and crumbly, Mac n cheese flavorless. Rubbery corn on the cob. Rolls were like hockey pucks. This location is a hit and miss with their food. More than half of the time, the chicken tenders are undercooked and not very tasty. I've had 3 interactions/visits w this location. Each visit has been better than the previous! The workers are polite and extremely efficient. The food is hot and fresh each time. I love the fried pickles. Tonight I went to another "chicken" place and well that is a story for their review. So I went across town not knowing what time CE closes. I pull up at 9:59 and figured I'd at least see if they would let me order. Not only did they let me order but they made some fresh fried pickles for me. They apologize that they only had 3 pieces of chicken left but I was not worried about that at all. I was just thankful they were even taking my order. They even threw in an extra biscuit because they didn't have the pieces I wanted. They never once acted like I was inconveniencing them or was rude or unprofessional. They were so NICE. Friendly service. Food needs work though. Food is over-salted. Unsweet ice tea is watery - hardly any tea flavor. Fish fillets are large, but thin & over-salted, Hardly any flavor to them (keep in mind if your seafood ever tastes extra salty it's starting to spoil. Any ammonia odor - it's bad! I found out the hard way with very salty fillets at this Chicken Express.) Nearly everything is fried or over-sugared. At the end of the night - all leftover food is thrown out! Unreal. At least give it to the employees. A shame to waste all that food, Make arrangements with the shelters/soup kitchen in town. Too many homeless & hungry on the streets and Chicken Expresses trashes the food. At what you charge (and you are very overpriced) you can well afford to give the food to the night employees or to a shelter/soup kitchen. Shame on you Lawton, OK Chicken Express.
